Sūrah 84

al-Inshiqāq

The Splitting Open · 25 verses
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥeem
  1. 1When the sky has split [open]إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتۡ
  2. 2And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ
  3. 3And when the earth has been extendedوَإِذَا ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡ
  4. 4And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ
  5. 5And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ
  6. 6O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet itيَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدۡحٗا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ
  7. 7Then as for he who is given his record in his right handفَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
  8. 8He will be judged with an easy accountفَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابٗا يَسِيرٗا
  9. 9And return to his people in happinessوَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورٗا
  10. 10But as for he who is given his record behind his backوَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهِۦ
  11. 11He will cry out for destructionفَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُواْ ثُبُورٗا
  12. 12And [enter to] burn in a Blazeوَيَصۡلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
  13. 13Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happinessإِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورًا
  14. 14Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allāh]إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
  15. 15But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeingبَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرٗا
  16. 16So I swear by the twilight glowفَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
  17. 17And [by] the night and what it envelopsوَٱلَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
  18. 18And [by] the moon when it becomes fullوَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
  19. 19[That] you will surely experience state after stateلَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٖ
  20. 20So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believeفَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
  21. 21And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allāh]وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لَا يَسۡجُدُونَۤ۩
  22. 22But those who have disbelieved denyبَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُكَذِّبُونَ
  23. 23And Allāh is most knowing of what they keep within themselvesوَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
  24. 24So give them tidings of a painful punishmentفَبَشِّرۡهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
  25. 25Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterruptedإِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونِۭ
