Sūrah 81

at-Takweer

The Folding Up · 29 verses
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥeem
  1. 1When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]إِذَا ٱلشَّمۡسُ كُوِّرَتۡ
  2. 2And when the stars fall, dispersingوَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتۡ
  3. 3And when the mountains are removedوَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتۡ
  4. 4And when full-term she-camels are neglectedوَإِذَا ٱلۡعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتۡ
  5. 5And when the wild beasts are gatheredوَإِذَا ٱلۡوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتۡ
  6. 6And when the seas are filled with flameوَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتۡ
  7. 7And when the souls are pairedوَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتۡ
  8. 8And when the girl [who was] buried alive is askedوَإِذَا ٱلۡمَوۡءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتۡ
  9. 9For what sin she was killedبِأَيِّ ذَنۢبٖ قُتِلَتۡ
  10. 10And when the pages are made publicوَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡ
  11. 11And when the sky is stripped awayوَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتۡ
  12. 12And when Hellfire is set ablazeوَإِذَا ٱلۡجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتۡ
  13. 13And when Paradise is brought nearوَإِذَا ٱلۡجَنَّةُ أُزۡلِفَتۡ
  14. 14A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّآ أَحۡضَرَتۡ
  15. 15So I swear by the retreating starsفَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلۡخُنَّسِ
  16. 16Those that run [their courses] and disappearٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡكُنَّسِ
  17. 17And by the night as it closes inوَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا عَسۡعَسَ
  18. 18And by the dawn when it breathesوَٱلصُّبۡحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
  19. 19[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messengerإِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولٖ كَرِيمٖ
  20. 20[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position]ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي ٱلۡعَرۡشِ مَكِينٖ
  21. 21Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthyمُّطَاعٖ ثَمَّ أَمِينٖ
  22. 22And your companion is not [at all] madوَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجۡنُونٖ
  23. 23And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizonوَلَقَدۡ رَءَاهُ بِٱلۡأُفُقِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ
  24. 24And Muḥammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseenوَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلۡغَيۡبِ بِضَنِينٖ
  25. 25And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَيۡطَٰنٖ رَّجِيمٖ
  26. 26So where are you goingفَأَيۡنَ تَذۡهَبُونَ
  27. 27It is not except a reminder to the worldsإِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرٞ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
  28. 28For whoever wills among you to take a right courseلِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمۡ أَن يَسۡتَقِيمَ
  29. 29And you do not will except that Allāh wills - Lord of the worldsوَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
