Sūrah 79

an-Nāziʿāt

Those Who Pull Out · 46 verses
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥeem
  1. 1By those [angels] who extract with violenceوَٱلنَّـٰزِعَٰتِ غَرۡقٗا
  2. 2And [by] those who remove with easeوَٱلنَّـٰشِطَٰتِ نَشۡطٗا
  3. 3And [by] those who glide [as if] swimmingوَٱلسَّـٰبِحَٰتِ سَبۡحٗا
  4. 4And those who race each other in a raceفَٱلسَّـٰبِقَٰتِ سَبۡقٗا
  5. 5And those who arrange [each] matterفَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمۡرٗا
  6. 6On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation]يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
  7. 7There will follow it the subsequent [one]تَتۡبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
  8. 8Hearts, that Day, will trembleقُلُوبٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاجِفَةٌ
  9. 9Their eyes humbledأَبۡصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٞ
  10. 10They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرۡدُودُونَ فِي ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ
  11. 11Even if we should be decayed bonesأَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمٗا نَّخِرَةٗ
  12. 12They say, "That, then, would be a losing returnقَالُواْ تِلۡكَ إِذٗا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٞ
  13. 13Indeed, it will be but one shoutفَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ
  14. 14And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surfaceفَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
  15. 15Has there reached you the story of Mosesهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ
  16. 16When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwaإِذۡ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى
  17. 17Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressedٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ
  18. 18And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourselfفَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
  19. 19And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]وَأَهۡدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشَىٰ
  20. 20And he showed him the greatest signفَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلۡأٓيَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
  21. 21But Pharaoh denied and disobeyedفَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ
  22. 22Then he turned his back, strivingثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعَىٰ
  23. 23And he gathered [his people] and called outفَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ
  24. 24And said, "I am your most exalted lordفَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
  25. 25So Allāh seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ
  26. 26Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allāh]إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ
  27. 27Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allāh constructed itءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا
  28. 28He raised its ceiling and proportioned itرَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا
  29. 29And He darkened its night and extracted its brightnessوَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
  30. 30And after that He spread the earthوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ
  31. 31He extracted from it its water and its pastureأَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا
  32. 32And the mountains He set firmlyوَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَرۡسَىٰهَا
  33. 33As provision for you and your grazing livestockمَتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
  34. 34But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamityفَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
  35. 35The Day when man will remember that for which he stroveيَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ
  36. 36And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who seeوَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
  37. 37So as for he who transgressedفَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
  38. 38And preferred the life of the worldوَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
  39. 39Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refugeفَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
  40. 40But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclinationوَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ
  41. 41Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refugeفَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
  42. 42They ask you, [O Muḥammad], about the Hour: when is its arrivalيَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا
  43. 43In what [position] are you that you should mention itفِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ
  44. 44To your Lord is its finalityإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
  45. 45You are only a warner for those who fear itإِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰهَا
  46. 46It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereofكَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوۡ ضُحَىٰهَا
