Sūrah 37

aṣ-Ṣāffāt

Those Lined Up · 182 verses
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥeem
  1. 1By those [angels] lined up in rowsوَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفّٗا
  2. 2And those who drive [the clouds]فَٱلزَّـٰجِرَٰتِ زَجۡرٗا
  3. 3And those who recite the messageفَٱلتَّـٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
  4. 4Indeed, your God is Oneإِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمۡ لَوَٰحِدٞ
  5. 5Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrisesرَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ
  6. 6Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of starsإِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ
  7. 7And as protection against every rebellious devilوَحِفۡظٗا مِّن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ مَّارِدٖ
  8. 8[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every sideلَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ وَيُقۡذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٖ
  9. 9Repelled; and for them is a constant punishmentدُحُورٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ وَاصِبٌ
  10. 10Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]إِلَّا مَنۡ خَطِفَ ٱلۡخَطۡفَةَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ ثَاقِبٞ
  11. 11Then inquire of them, [O Muḥammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clayفَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَهُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَم مَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَآۚ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٖ لَّازِبِۭ
  12. 12But you wonder, while they mockبَلۡ عَجِبۡتَ وَيَسۡخَرُونَ
  13. 13And when they are reminded, they remember notوَإِذَا ذُكِّرُواْ لَا يَذۡكُرُونَ
  14. 14And when they see a sign, they ridiculeوَإِذَا رَأَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يَسۡتَسۡخِرُونَ
  15. 15And say, "This is not but obvious magicوَقَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٌ
  16. 16When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrectedأَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ
  17. 17And our forefathers [as well]أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ
  18. 18Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptibleقُلۡ نَعَمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ دَٰخِرُونَ
  19. 19It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observingفَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَإِذَا هُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ
  20. 20They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompenseوَقَالُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
  21. 21[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to denyهَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
  22. 22[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship۞ٱحۡشُرُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ
  23. 23Other than Allāh, and guide them to the path of Hellfireمِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهۡدُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  24. 24And stop them; indeed, they are to be questionedوَقِفُوهُمۡۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسۡـُٔولُونَ
  25. 25[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each otherمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
  26. 26But they, that Day, are in surrenderبَلۡ هُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَ
  27. 27And they will approach one another blaming each otherوَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
  28. 28They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the rightقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ
  29. 29The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believersقَالُواْ بَل لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ
  30. 30And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing peopleوَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭۖ بَلۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا طَٰغِينَ
  31. 31So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
  32. 32And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviatorsفَأَغۡوَيۡنَٰكُمۡ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ
  33. 33So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishmentفَإِنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُونَ
  34. 34Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminalsإِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
  35. 35Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allāh," were arrogantإِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
  36. 36And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poetوَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓاْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٖ مَّجۡنُونِۭ
  37. 37Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengersبَلۡ جَآءَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  38. 38Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishmentإِنَّكُمۡ لَذَآئِقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَلِيمِ
  39. 39And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to doوَمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
  40. 40But not the chosen servants of Allāhإِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
  41. 41Those will have a provision determinedأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
  42. 42Fruits; and they will be honoredفَوَٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكۡرَمُونَ
  43. 43In gardens of pleasureفِي جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
  44. 44On thrones facing one anotherعَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
  45. 45There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing springيُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم بِكَأۡسٖ مِّن مَّعِينِۭ
  46. 46White and delicious to the drinkersبَيۡضَآءَ لَذَّةٖ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
  47. 47No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicatedلَا فِيهَا غَوۡلٞ وَلَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا يُنزَفُونَ
  48. 48And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyesوَعِندَهُمۡ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ عِينٞ
  49. 49As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protectedكَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيۡضٞ مَّكۡنُونٞ
  50. 50And they will approach one another, inquiring of each otherفَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
  51. 51A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]قَالَ قَآئِلٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٞ
  52. 52Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believeيَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصَدِّقِينَ
  53. 53That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensedأَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
  54. 54He will say, "Would you [care to] lookقَالَ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ
  55. 55And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfireفَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِي سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  56. 56He will say, "By Allāh, you almost ruined meقَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرۡدِينِ
  57. 57If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ
  58. 58Then, are we not to dieأَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
  59. 59Except for our first death, and we will not be punishedإِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
  60. 60Indeed, this is the great attainmentإِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
  61. 61For the like of this let the workers [on earth] workلِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ ٱلۡعَٰمِلُونَ
  62. 62Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqumأَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞ نُّزُلًا أَمۡ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ
  63. 63Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoersإِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهَا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
  64. 64Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfireإِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٞ تَخۡرُجُ فِيٓ أَصۡلِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  65. 65Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devilsطَلۡعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ
  66. 66And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their belliesفَإِنَّهُمۡ لَأٓكِلُونَ مِنۡهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ
  67. 67Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding waterثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبٗا مِّنۡ حَمِيمٖ
  68. 68Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfireثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَإِلَى ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  69. 69Indeed they found their fathers astrayإِنَّهُمۡ أَلۡفَوۡاْ ءَابَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّينَ
  70. 70So they hastened [to follow] in their footstepsفَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُونَ
  71. 71And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoplesوَلَقَدۡ ضَلَّ قَبۡلَهُمۡ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
  72. 72And We had already sent among them warnersوَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
  73. 73Then look how was the end of those who were warnedفَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ
  74. 74But not the chosen servants of Allāhإِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
  75. 75And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of respondersوَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٞ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِيبُونَ
  76. 76And We saved him and his family from the great afflictionوَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
  77. 77And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلۡبَاقِينَ
  78. 78And left for him [favorable mention] among later generationsوَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
  79. 79Peace upon Noah among the worldsسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٖ فِي ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
  80. 80Indeed, We thus reward the doers of goodإِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
  81. 81Indeed, he was of Our believing servantsإِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
  82. 82Then We drowned the disbelieversثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ
  83. 83And indeed, among his kind was Abraham۞وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
  84. 84When he came to his Lord with a sound heartإِذۡ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٍ
  85. 85[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worshipإِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعۡبُدُونَ
  86. 86Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allāh you desireأَئِفۡكًا ءَالِهَةٗ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
  87. 87Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worldsفَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
  88. 88And he cast a look at the starsفَنَظَرَ نَظۡرَةٗ فِي ٱلنُّجُومِ
  89. 89And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] illفَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٞ
  90. 90So they turned away from him, departingفَتَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ مُدۡبِرِينَ
  91. 91Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eatفَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمۡ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ
  92. 92What is [wrong] with you that you do not speakمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنطِقُونَ
  93. 93And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right handفَرَاغَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضَرۡبَۢا بِٱلۡيَمِينِ
  94. 94Then the people came toward him, hasteningفَأَقۡبَلُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ يَزِفُّونَ
  95. 95He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carveقَالَ أَتَعۡبُدُونَ مَا تَنۡحِتُونَ
  96. 96While Allāh created you and that which you doوَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
  97. 97They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fireقَالُواْ ٱبۡنُواْ لَهُۥ بُنۡيَٰنٗا فَأَلۡقُوهُ فِي ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  98. 98And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debasedفَأَرَادُواْ بِهِۦ كَيۡدٗا فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡأَسۡفَلِينَ
  99. 99And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide meوَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ
  100. 100My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteousرَبِّ هَبۡ لِي مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
  101. 101So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boyفَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٖ
  102. 102And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allāh wills, of the steadfastفَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعۡيَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡمَنَامِ أَنِّيٓ أَذۡبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرَىٰۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُۖ سَتَجِدُنِيٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
  103. 103And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his foreheadفَلَمَّآ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِينِ
  104. 104We called to him, "O Abrahamوَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
  105. 105You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of goodقَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ ٱلرُّءۡيَآۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
  106. 106Indeed, this was the clear trialإِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡبَلَـٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
  107. 107And We ransomed him with a great sacrificeوَفَدَيۡنَٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِيمٖ
  108. 108And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generationsوَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
  109. 109Peace upon Abrahamسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
  110. 110Indeed, We thus reward the doers of goodكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
  111. 111Indeed, he was of Our believing servantsإِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
  112. 112And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteousوَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِإِسۡحَٰقَ نَبِيّٗا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
  113. 113And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himselfوَبَٰرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسۡحَٰقَۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحۡسِنٞ وَظَالِمٞ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ مُبِينٞ
  114. 114And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaronوَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
  115. 115And We saved them and their people from the great afflictionوَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
  116. 116And We supported them so it was they who overcameوَنَصَرۡنَٰهُمۡ فَكَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ
  117. 117And We gave them the explicit Scriptureوَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَبِينَ
  118. 118And We guided them on the straight pathوَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ
  119. 119And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generationsوَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
  120. 120Peace upon Moses and Aaronسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
  121. 121Indeed, We thus reward the doers of goodإِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
  122. 122Indeed, they were of Our believing servantsإِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
  123. 123And indeed, Elias was from among the messengersوَإِنَّ إِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  124. 124When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allāhإِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
  125. 125Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creatorsأَتَدۡعُونَ بَعۡلٗا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ
  126. 126Allāh, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathersٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
  127. 127And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment]فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ
  128. 128Except the chosen servants of Allāhإِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
  129. 129And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generationsوَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
  130. 130Peace upon Eliasسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلۡ يَاسِينَ
  131. 131Indeed, We thus reward the doers of goodإِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
  132. 132Indeed, he was of Our believing servantsإِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
  133. 133And indeed, Lot was among the messengersوَإِنَّ لُوطٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  134. 134[So mention] when We saved him and his family, allإِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ
  135. 135Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
  136. 136Then We destroyed the othersثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ
  137. 137And indeed, you pass by them in the morningوَإِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيۡهِم مُّصۡبِحِينَ
  138. 138And at night. Then will you not use reasonوَبِٱلَّيۡلِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ
  139. 139And indeed, Jonah was among the messengersوَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  140. 140[Mention] when he ran away to the laden shipإِذۡ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ
  141. 141And he drew lots and was among the losersفَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُدۡحَضِينَ
  142. 142Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthyفَٱلۡتَقَمَهُ ٱلۡحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ
  143. 143And had he not been of those who exalt Allāhفَلَوۡلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحِينَ
  144. 144He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrectedلَلَبِثَ فِي بَطۡنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
  145. 145But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill۞فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٞ
  146. 146And We caused to grow over him a gourd vineوَأَنۢبَتۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ شَجَرَةٗ مِّن يَقۡطِينٖ
  147. 147And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or moreوَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ
  148. 148And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a timeفَـَٔامَنُواْ فَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ
  149. 149So inquire of them, [O Muḥammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sonsفَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ
  150. 150Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnessesأَمۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثٗا وَهُمۡ شَٰهِدُونَ
  151. 151Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they sayأَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنۡ إِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ
  152. 152Allāh has begotten," and indeed, they are liarsوَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
  153. 153Has He chosen daughters over sonsأَصۡطَفَى ٱلۡبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلۡبَنِينَ
  154. 154What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgementمَا لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ
  155. 155Then will you not be remindedأَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
  156. 156Or do you have a clear authorityأَمۡ لَكُمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٞ مُّبِينٞ
  157. 157Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthfulفَأۡتُواْ بِكِتَٰبِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
  158. 158And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ
  159. 159Exalted is Allāh above what they describeسُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
  160. 160Except the chosen servants of Allāh [who do not share in that sin]إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
  161. 161So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worshipفَإِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ
  162. 162You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Himمَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ
  163. 163Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfireإِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
  164. 164[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known positionوَمَامِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
  165. 165And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ
  166. 166And indeed, we are those who exalt Allāhوَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحُونَ
  167. 167And indeed, the disbelievers used to sayوَإِن كَانُواْ لَيَقُولُونَ
  168. 168If we had a message from [those of] the former peoplesلَوۡ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكۡرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
  169. 169We would have been the chosen servants of Allāhلَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
  170. 170But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to knowفَكَفَرُواْ بِهِۦۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
  171. 171And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengersوَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  172. 172[That] indeed, they would be those given victoryإِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ ٱلۡمَنصُورُونَ
  173. 173And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcomeوَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ
  174. 174So, [O Muḥammad], leave them for a timeفَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ
  175. 175And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to seeوَأَبۡصِرۡهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ
  176. 176Then for Our punishment are they impatientأَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ
  177. 177But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warnedفَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمۡ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ
  178. 178And leave them for a timeوَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ
  179. 179And see, for they are going to seeوَأَبۡصِرۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ
  180. 180Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describeسُبۡحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلۡعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
  181. 181And peace upon the messengersوَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
  182. 182And praise to Allāh, Lord of the worldsوَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
