Sūrah 55
ar-Raḥmān
The Most Merciful · 78 verses
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥeem
- 1The Most Mercifulٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
- 2Taught the Qur'anعَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
- 3Created manخَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
- 4[And] taught him eloquenceعَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ
- 5The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculationٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ
- 6And the stars and trees prostrateوَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ
- 7And the heaven He raised and imposed the balanceوَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
- 8That you not transgress within the balanceأَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
- 9And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balanceوَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
- 10And the earth He laid [out] for the creaturesوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ
- 11Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
- 12And grain having husks and scented plantsوَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ
- 13So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 14He created man from clay like [that of] potteryخَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
- 15And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fireوَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ
- 16So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 17[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsetsرَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ
- 18So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 19He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ
- 20Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgressesبَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ
- 21So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 22From both of them emerge pearl and coralيَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
- 23So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 24And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountainsوَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
- 25So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 26Everyone upon the earth will perishكُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ
- 27And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honorوَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
- 28So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 29Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matterيَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ
- 30So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 31We will attend to you, O prominent beingsسَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
- 32So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 33O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh]يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
- 34So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 35There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselvesيُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
- 36So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 37And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oilفَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ
- 38So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 39Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinnفَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
- 40So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 41The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feetيُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
- 42So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 43This is Hell, which the criminals denyهَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
- 44They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree]يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ
- 45So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 46But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardensوَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
- 47So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 48Having [spreading] branchesذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ
- 49So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 50In both of them are two springs, flowingفِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ
- 51So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 52In both of them are of every fruit, two kindsفِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ
- 53So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 54[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging lowمُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ
- 55So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 56In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinniفِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
- 57So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 58As if they were rubies and coralكَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
- 59So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 60Is the reward for good [anything] but goodهَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ
- 61So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 62And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardensوَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
- 63So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 64Dark green [in color]مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ
- 65So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 66In both of them are two springs, spoutingفِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
- 67So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 68In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranatesفِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَنَخۡلٞ وَرُمَّانٞ
- 69So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 70In them are good and beautiful womenفِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانٞ
- 71So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 72Fair ones reserved in pavilionsحُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ
- 73So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 74Untouched before them by man or jinniلَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
- 75So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 76Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpetsمُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرٖ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٖ
- 77So which of the favors of your Lord would you denyفَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
- 78Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honorتَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
