al-Bayḍāwī
Anwār al-Tanzīl wa Asrār al-Taʾwīl — a concise, linguistically careful Sunni tafsir (d. 1286). An Ashʿarite reworking of al-Zamakhsharī's Kashshāf, for centuries the dominant teaching text in Sunni madrasas. No complete English translation exists.

Why al-Bayḍāwī appears in the catalog
When catalog entries note that "classical Sunni tafsir reads this verse as…", Bayḍāwī is frequently the mediating witness — his tafsir is the one that actually got memorised in madāris across the Muslim world for seven centuries, which is a more honest guide to "mainstream classical Islam" than a selection of modern apologetic works. Quoting him is best done via the Arabic (linked above) or via paraphrase in scholarly secondary literature; the Margoliouth selection covers only Q 3 (Āl ʿImrān).
