بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Surah 98 — Al-Bayyina
- 1لَمْlamNotيَكُنِyakuniwereالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedمِنْminfromأَهْلِahli(the) Peopleالْكِتَابِl-kitābiof the Bookوَالْمُشْرِكِينَwal-mush'rikīnaand the polytheistsمُنْفَكِّينَmunfakkīnato be abandonedحَتَّىḥattāuntilتَأْتِيَهُمُtatiyahumu(there) comes to themالْبَيِّنَةُl-bayinatuthe clear evidence
- 2رَسُولٌrasūlunA Messengerمِنَminafromاللَّهِl-lahiAllahيَتْلُواyatlūrecitingصُحُفًاṣuḥufanpagesمُطَهَّرَةًmuṭahharatanpurified
- 3فِيهَاfīhāWhereinكُتُبٌkutubun(are) writingsقَيِّمَةٌqayyimatuncorrect
- 4وَمَاwamāAnd notتَفَرَّقَtafarraqabecame dividedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأُوتُواūtūwere givenالْكِتَابَl-kitābathe Bookإِلَّاillāuntilمِنْminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterمَاmāwhatجَاءَتْهُمُjāathumucame (to) themالْبَيِّنَةُl-bayinatu(of) the clear evidence
- 5وَمَاwamāAnd notأُمِرُواumirūthey were commandedإِلَّاillāexceptلِيَعْبُدُواliyaʿbudūto worshipاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمُخْلِصِينَmukh'liṣīna(being) sincereلَهُlahuto Himالدِّينَl-dīna(in) the religionحُنَفَاءَḥunafāauprightوَيُقِيمُواwayuqīmūand to establishالصَّلَوةَl-ṣalatathe prayerوَيُؤْتُواwayu'tūand to giveالزَّكَوةَl-zakatathe ZakahوَذَلِكَwadhālikaAnd thatدِينُdīnu(is the) religionالْقَيِّمَةِl-qayimatithe correct
- 6إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveمِنْminfromأَهْلِahli(the) Peopleالْكِتَابِl-kitābi(of) the Bookوَالْمُشْرِكِينَwal-mush'rikīnaand the polytheistsفِيfī(will be) inنَارِnāri(the) Fireجَهَنَّمَjahannama(of) Hellخَالِدِينَkhālidīnaabiding eternallyفِيهَاfīhāthereinأُولَئِكَulāikaThoseهُمْhumtheyشَرُّsharru(are the) worstالْبَرِيَّةِl-bariyati(of) the creatures
- 7إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveوَعَمِلُواwaʿamilūand doالصَّالِحَاتِl-ṣāliḥātirighteous deedsأُولَئِكَulāikathoseهُمْhumtheyخَيْرُkhayru(are the) bestالْبَرِيَّةِl-bariyati(of) the creatures
- 8جَزَاؤُهُمْjazāuhumTheir rewardعِنْدَʿinda(is) withرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir LordجَنَّاتُjannātuGardensعَدْنٍʿadnin(of) Eternityتَجْرِيtajrīflowمِنْminfromتَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath themالْأَنْهَارُl-anhāruthe riversخَالِدِينَkhālidīnawill abideفِيهَاfīhāthereinأَبَدًاabadanforeverرَضِيَraḍiya(will be) pleasedاللَّهُl-lahuAllahعَنْهُمْʿanhumwith themوَرَضُواwaraḍūand they (will be) pleasedعَنْهُʿanhuwith HimذَلِكَdhālikaThatلِمَنْliman(is) for whoeverخَشِيَkhashiyafearedرَبَّهُrabbahuhis Lord
