بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 77 — Al-Mursalaat

  1. 1وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِwal-mur'salātiBy the ones sent forthعُرْفًاʿur'fanone after another
  2. 2فَالْعَاصِفَاتِfal-ʿāṣifātiAnd the winds that blowعَصْفًاʿaṣfanviolently
  3. 3وَالنَّاشِرَاتِwal-nāshirātiAnd the ones that scatterنَشْرًاnashranfar and wide
  4. 4فَالْفَارِقَاتِfal-fāriqātiAnd those who separateفَرْقًاfarqan(by the) Criterion
  5. 5فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِfal-mul'qiyātiAnd those who bring downذِكْرًاdhik'ran(the) Reminder
  6. 6عُذْرًاʿudh'ran(As) justificationأَوْaworنُذْرًاnudh'ranwarning
  7. 7إِنَّمَاinnamāIndeed whatتُوعَدُونَtūʿadūnayou are promisedلَوَاقِعٌlawāqiʿunwill surely occur
  8. 8فَإِذَاfa-idhāSo whenالنُّجُومُl-nujūmuthe starsطُمِسَتْṭumisatare obliterated
  9. 9وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenالسَّمَاءُl-samāuthe heavenفُرِجَتْfurijatis cleft asunder
  10. 10وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenالْجِبَالُl-jibāluthe mountainsنُسِفَتْnusifatare blown away
  11. 11وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenالرُّسُلُl-rusuluthe Messengersأُقِّتَتْuqqitatare gathered to their appointed time
  12. 12لِأَيِّli-ayyiFor whatيَوْمٍyawminDayأُجِّلَتْujjilatare (these) postponed
  13. 13لِيَوْمِliyawmiFor (the) Dayالْفَصْلِl-faṣli(of) Judgment
  14. 14وَمَاwamāAnd whatأَدْرَاكَadrākawill make you knowمَاmāwhatيَوْمُyawmu(is the) Dayالْفَصْلِl-faṣli(of) the Judgment
  15. 15وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  16. 16أَلَمْalamDid notنُهْلِكِnuh'likiWe destroyالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīnathe former (people)
  17. 17ثُمَّthummaThenنُتْبِعُهُمُnut'biʿuhumuWe follow them upالْءَاخِرِينَl-ākhirīna(with) the later ones
  18. 18كَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusنَفْعَلُnafʿaluWe dealبِالْمُجْرِمِينَbil-muj'rimīnawith the criminals
  19. 19وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  20. 20أَلَمْalamDid notنَخْلُقْكُمْnakhluqkkumWe create youمِنْminfromمَاءٍmāina waterمَهِينٍmahīnindespicable
  21. 21فَجَعَلْنَاهُfajaʿalnāhuThen We placed itفِيfīinقَرَارٍqarārinan abodeمَكِينٍmakīninsafe
  22. 22إِلَىilāForقَدَرٍqadarina periodمَعْلُومٍmaʿlūminknown
  23. 23فَقَدَرْنَاfaqadarnāSo We measuredفَنِعْمَfaniʿ'maand Bestالْقَادِرُونَl-qādirūna(are We to) measure!
  24. 24وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  25. 25أَلَمْalamHave notنَجْعَلِnajʿaliWe madeالْأَرْضَl-arḍathe earthكِفَاتًاkifātana receptacle
  26. 26أَحْيَاءًaḥyāan(For the) livingوَأَمْوَاتًاwa-amwātanand (the) dead
  27. 27وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We madeفِيهَاfīhāthereinرَوَاسِيَrawāsiyafirmly set mountainsشَامِخَاتٍshāmikhātinloftyوَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْwa-asqaynākumand We gave you to drinkمَاءًmāanwaterفُرَاتًاfurātansweet
  28. 28وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  29. 29انْطَلِقُواinṭaliqūProceedإِلَىilātoمَاmāwhatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou usedبِهِbihiin itتُكَذِّبُونَtukadhibūna(to) deny
  30. 30انْطَلِقُواinṭaliqūProceedإِلَىilātoظِلٍّẓillina shadowذِيdhīhavingثَلَاثِthalāthithreeشُعَبٍshuʿabincolumns
  31. 31لَاlāNoظَلِيلٍẓalīlincool shadeوَلَاwalāand notيُغْنِيyugh'nīavailingمِنَminaagainstاللَّهَبِl-lahabithe flame
  32. 32إِنَّهَاinnahāIndeed itتَرْمِيtarmīthrows upبِشَرَرٍbishararinsparksكَالْقَصْرِkal-qaṣrias the fortress
  33. 33كَأَنَّهُka-annahuAs if they (were)جِمَالَتٌjimālatuncamelsصُفْرٌṣuf'runyellow
  34. 34وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  35. 35هَذَاhādhāThisيَوْمُyawmu(is) a Dayلَاlānotيَنْطِقُونَyanṭiqūnathey will speak
  36. 36وَلَاwalāAnd notيُؤْذَنُyu'dhanuwill it be permittedلَهُمْlahumfor themفَيَعْتَذِرُونَfayaʿtadhirūnato make excuses
  37. 37وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  38. 38هَذَاhādhāThisيَوْمُyawmu(is the) Dayالْفَصْلِl-faṣli(of) Judgment;جَمَعْنَاكُمْjamaʿnākumWe have gathered youوَالْأَوَّلِينَwal-awalīnaand the former (people)
  39. 39فَإِنْfa-inSo ifكَانَkānaisلَكُمْlakumfor youكَيْدٌkayduna planفَكِيدُونِfakīdūnithen plan against Me
  40. 40وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  41. 41إِنَّinnaIndeedالْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīnathe righteousفِيfī(will be) inظِلَالٍẓilālinshadesوَعُيُونٍwaʿuyūninand springs
  42. 42وَفَوَاكِهَwafawākihaAnd fruitsمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatيَشْتَهُونَyashtahūnathey desire
  43. 43كُلُواkulūEatوَاشْرَبُواwa-ish'rabūand drinkهَنِيئًاhanīan(in) satisfactionبِمَاbimāfor whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou usedتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna(to) do
  44. 44إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَجْزِيnajzīrewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  45. 45وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  46. 46كُلُواkulūEatوَتَمَتَّعُواwatamattaʿūand enjoy yourselvesقَلِيلًاqalīlana little;إِنَّكُمْinnakumindeed youمُجْرِمُونَmuj'rimūna(are) criminals
  47. 47وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  48. 48وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait is saidلَهُمُlahumuto themارْكَعُواir'kaʿūBowلَاlānotيَرْكَعُونَyarkaʿūnathey bow
  49. 49وَيْلٌwaylunWoeيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayلِلْمُكَذِّبِينَlil'mukadhibīnato the deniers
  50. 50فَبِأَيِّfabi-ayyiThen in whatحَدِيثٍḥadīthinstatementبَعْدَهُbaʿdahuafter itيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnawill they believe
