بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 64 — At-Taghaabun

  1. 1يُسَبِّحُyusabbiḥuGlorifiesلِلَّهِlillahi[to] Allahمَاmāwhateverفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِيfī(is) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthلَهُlahuFor Himالْمُلْكُl-mul'ku(is the) dominionوَلَهُwalahuand for Himالْحَمْدُl-ḥamdu(is) the praiseوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heعَلَىʿalā(is) onكُلِّkullieveryشَيْءٍshayinthingقَدِيرٌqadīrunAll-powerful
  2. 2هُوَhuwaHeالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمْkhalaqakumcreated youفَمِنْكُمْfaminkumand among youكَافِرٌkāfirun(is) a disbelieverوَمِنْكُمْwaminkumand among youمُؤْمِنٌmu'minun(is) a believerوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَاbimāof whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou doبَصِيرٌbaṣīrun(is) All-Seer
  3. 3خَلَقَkhalaqaHe createdالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiwith truthوَصَوَّرَكُمْwaṣawwarakumand He formed youفَأَحْسَنَfa-aḥsanaand made goodصُوَرَكُمْṣuwarakumyour formsوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Himالْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the final return
  4. 4يَعْلَمُyaʿlamuHe knowsمَاmāwhatفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَيَعْلَمُwayaʿlamuand He knowsمَاmāwhatتُسِرُّونَtusirrūnayou concealوَمَاwamāand whatتُعْلِنُونَtuʿ'linūnayou declareوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knowingبِذَاتِbidhātiof whatالصُّدُورِl-ṣudūri(is in) the breasts
  5. 5أَلَمْalamHas notيَأْتِكُمْyatikumcome to youنَبَؤُاnaba-u(the) newsالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedمِنْminfromقَبْلُqablubeforeفَذَاقُواfadhāqūSo they tastedوَبَالَwabāla(the) bad consequenceأَمْرِهِمْamrihim(of) their affairوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌalīmunpainful
  6. 6ذَلِكَdhālikaThatبِأَنَّهُbi-annahu(is) becauseكَانَتْkānathadتَأْتِيهِمْtatīhimcome to themرُسُلُهُمْrusuluhumtheir Messengersبِالْبَيِّنَاتِbil-bayinātiwith clear proofsفَقَالُواfaqālūbut they saidأَبَشَرٌabasharunShall human beingsيَهْدُونَنَاyahdūnanāguide usفَكَفَرُواfakafarūSo they disbelievedوَتَوَلَّوْاwatawallawand turned awayوَاسْتَغْنَىwa-is'taghnāAnd can do without themاللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahغَنِيٌّghaniyyun(is) Self-sufficientحَمِيدٌḥamīdunPraiseworthy
  7. 7زَعَمَzaʿamaClaimالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveأَنْanthatلَنْlanneverيُبْعَثُواyub'ʿathūwill they be raisedقُلْqulSayبَلَىbalāYesوَرَبِّيwarabbīby my Lordلَتُبْعَثُنَّlatub'ʿathunnasurely you will be raised;ثُمَّthummathenلَتُنَبَّؤُنَّlatunabba-unnasurely you will be informedبِمَاbimāof whatعَمِلْتُمْʿamil'tumyou didوَذَلِكَwadhālikaAnd thatعَلَىʿalāforاللَّهِl-lahiAllahيَسِيرٌyasīrun(is) easy
  8. 8فَءَامِنُواfaāminūSo believeبِاللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَرَسُولِهِwarasūlihiand His Messengerوَالنُّورِwal-nūriand the LightالَّذِيalladhīwhichأَنْزَلْنَاanzalnāWe have sent downوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَاbimāof whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou doخَبِيرٌkhabīrun(is) All-Aware
  9. 9يَوْمَyawma(The) DayيَجْمَعُكُمْyajmaʿukumHe will assemble youلِيَوْمِliyawmifor (the) Dayالْجَمْعِl-jamʿi(of) the Assemblyذَلِكَdhālikathatيَوْمُyawmu(will be the) Dayالتَّغَابُنِl-taghābuni(of) mutual loss and gainوَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيُؤْمِنْyu'minbelievesبِاللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَيَعْمَلْwayaʿmaland doesصَالِحًاṣāliḥanrighteousnessيُكَفِّرْyukaffirHe will removeعَنْهُʿanhufrom himسَيِّئَاتِهِsayyiātihihis misdeedsوَيُدْخِلْهُwayud'khil'huand He will admit himجَنَّاتٍjannātin(to) Gardensتَجْرِيtajrīflowمِنْminfromتَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath itالْأَنْهَارُl-anhāruthe riversخَالِدِينَkhālidīnaabidingفِيهَاfīhāthereinأَبَدًاabadanforeverذَلِكَdhālikaThatالْفَوْزُl-fawzu(is) the successالْعَظِيمُl-ʿaẓīmuthe great
  10. 10وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaBut those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedوَكَذَّبُواwakadhabūand deniedبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātinā[in] Our Versesأُولَئِكَulāikathoseأَصْحَابُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsالنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fireخَالِدِينَkhālidīnaabiding foreverفِيهَاfīhāthereinوَبِئْسَwabi'saAnd wretched isالْمَصِيرُl-maṣīruthe destination
  11. 11مَاmāNotأَصَابَaṣābastrikesمِنْminanyمُصِيبَةٍmuṣībatindisasterإِلَّاillāexceptبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby (the) permissionاللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahوَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيُؤْمِنْyu'minbelievesبِاللَّهِbil-lahiin AllahيَهْدِyahdiHe guidesقَلْبَهُqalbahuhis heartوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِكُلِّbikulliof everyشَيْءٍshayinthingعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knowing
  12. 12وَأَطِيعُواwa-aṭīʿūSo obeyاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَأَطِيعُواwa-aṭīʿūand obeyالرَّسُولَl-rasūlathe Messenger;فَإِنْfa-inbut ifتَوَلَّيْتُمْtawallaytumyou turn awayفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāthen onlyعَلَىʿalāuponرَسُولِنَاrasūlināOur Messengerالْبَلَاغُl-balāghu(is) the conveyanceالْمُبِينُl-mubīnuclear
  13. 13اللَّهُal-lahuAllahلَاlā(there is) noإِلَهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَhuwaHimوَعَلَىwaʿalāAnd uponاللَّهِl-lahiAllahفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkalilet put (their) trustالْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believers
  14. 14يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOالَّذِينَalladhīna(you) whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveإِنَّinnaIndeedمِنْminfromأَزْوَاجِكُمْazwājikumyour spousesوَأَوْلَادِكُمْwa-awlādikumand your childrenعَدُوًّاʿaduwwan(are) enemiesلَكُمْlakumto youفَاحْذَرُوهُمْfa-iḥ'dharūhumso beware of themوَإِنْwa-inBut ifتَعْفُواtaʿfūyou pardonوَتَصْفَحُواwataṣfaḥūand overlookوَتَغْفِرُواwataghfirūand forgiveفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahغَفُورٌghafūrun(is) Oft-ForgivingرَحِيمٌraḥīmunMost Merciful
  15. 15إِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyأَمْوَالُكُمْamwālukumyour wealthوَأَوْلَادُكُمْwa-awlādukumand your childrenفِتْنَةٌfit'natun(are) a trialوَاللَّهُwal-lahuand Allahعِنْدَهُʿindahuwith Himأَجْرٌajrun(is) a rewardعَظِيمٌʿaẓīmungreat
  16. 16فَاتَّقُواfa-ittaqūSo fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَاmāas much asاسْتَطَعْتُمْis'taṭaʿtumyou are ableوَاسْمَعُواwa-is'maʿūand listenوَأَطِيعُواwa-aṭīʿūand obeyوَأَنْفِقُواwa-anfiqūand spend;خَيْرًاkhayran(it is) betterلِأَنْفُسِكُمْli-anfusikumfor your soulsوَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيُوقَyūqais savedشُحَّshuḥḥa(from the) greedinessنَفْسِهِnafsihi(of) his soulفَأُولَئِكَfa-ulāikathen thoseهُمُhumu[they]الْمُفْلِحُونَl-muf'liḥūna(are) the successful ones
  17. 17إِنْinIfتُقْرِضُواtuq'riḍūyou loanاللَّهَl-laha(to) Allahقَرْضًاqarḍana loanحَسَنًاḥasanangoodlyيُضَاعِفْهُyuḍāʿif'huHe will multiply itلَكُمْlakumfor youوَيَغْفِرْwayaghfirand will forgiveلَكُمْlakumyouوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahشَكُورٌshakūrun(is) Most AppreciativeحَلِيمٌḥalīmunMost Forbearing
  18. 18عَالِمُʿālimu(The) Knowerالْغَيْبِl-ghaybi(of) the unseenوَالشَّهَادَةِwal-shahādatiand the witnessedالْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzuthe All-Mightyالْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise
