بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 43 — Az-Zukhruf

  1. 1حمٓha-meemHa Meem
  2. 2وَالْكِتَابِwal-kitābiBy the Bookالْمُبِينِl-mubīnithe clear
  3. 3إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weجَعَلْنَاهُjaʿalnāhuhave made itقُرْءَانًاqur'ānana Quranعَرَبِيًّاʿarabiyyan(in) Arabicلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnaunderstand
  4. 4وَإِنَّهُwa-innahuAnd indeed itفِي(is) inأُمِّummi(the) Motherالْكِتَابِl-kitābi(of) the Bookلَدَيْنَاladaynāwith Usلَعَلِيٌّlaʿaliyyunsurely exaltedحَكِيمٌḥakīmunfull of wisdom
  5. 5أَفَنَضْرِبُafanaḍribuThen should We take awayعَنْكُمُʿankumufrom youالذِّكْرَl-dhik'rathe Reminderصَفْحًاṣafḥandisregarding (you)أَنْanbecauseكُنْتُمْkuntumyouقَوْمًاqawman(are) a peopleمُسْرِفِينَmus'rifīnatransgressing
  6. 6وَكَمْwakamAnd how manyأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentمِنْminofنَبِيٍّnabiyyina Prophetفِيamongالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīnathe former (people)
  7. 7وَمَاwamāAnd notيَأْتِيهِمْyatīhimcame to themمِنْminany Prophetنَبِيٍّnabiyyinany Prophetإِلَّاillābutكَانُواkānūthey used (to)بِهِbihimock at himيَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūnamock at him
  8. 8فَأَهْلَكْنَاfa-ahlaknāThen We destroyedأَشَدَّashaddastrongerمِنْهُمْmin'humthan themبَطْشًاbaṭshan(in) powerوَمَضَىwamaḍāand has passedمَثَلُmathalu(the) exampleالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former (people)
  9. 9وَلَئِنْwala-inAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمْsa-altahumyou ask themمَنْmanWhoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthلَيَقُولُنَّlayaqūlunnaThey will surely sayخَلَقَهُنَّkhalaqahunnaHas created themالْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzuthe All-Mightyالْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmuthe All-Knower
  10. 10الَّذِيalladhīThe One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeلَكُمُlakumufor youالْأَرْضَl-arḍathe earthمَهْدًاmahdana bedوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand madeلَكُمْlakumfor youفِيهَاfīhāthereinسُبُلًاsubulanroadsلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتَهْتَدُونَtahtadūnabe guided
  11. 11وَالَّذِيwa-alladhīAnd the One Whoنَزَّلَnazzalasends downمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe skyمَاءًmāanwaterبِقَدَرٍbiqadarinin (due) measureفَأَنْشَرْنَاfa-ansharnāthen We reviveبِهِbihiwith itبَلْدَةًbaldatana landمَيْتًاmaytandeadكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusتُخْرَجُونَtukh'rajūnayou will be brought forth
  12. 12وَالَّذِيwa-alladhīAnd the One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedالْأَزْوَاجَl-azwājathe pairsكُلَّهَاkullahāall of themوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand madeلَكُمْlakumfor youمِنَmina[of]الْفُلْكِl-ful'kithe shipsوَالْأَنْعَامِwal-anʿāmiand the cattleمَاwhatتَرْكَبُونَtarkabūnayou ride
  13. 13لِتَسْتَوُواlitastawūThat you may sit firmlyعَلَىʿalāonظُهُورِهِẓuhūrihitheir backsثُمَّthummathenتَذْكُرُواtadhkurūrememberنِعْمَةَniʿ'mata(the) favorرَبِّكُمْrabbikum(of) your Lordإِذَاidhāwhenاسْتَوَيْتُمْis'tawaytumyou sit firmlyعَلَيْهِʿalayhion themوَتَقُولُواwataqūlūand sayسُبْحَانَsub'ḥānaGlory be (to)الَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoسَخَّرَsakharahas subjectedلَنَاlanāto usهَذَاhādhāthisوَمَاwamāand notكُنَّاkunnāwe wereلَهُlahuof itمُقْرِنِينَmuq'rinīnacapable
  14. 14وَإِنَّاwa-innāAnd indeed weإِلَىilātoرَبِّنَاrabbināour Lordلَمُنْقَلِبُونَlamunqalibūnawill surely return
  15. 15وَجَعَلُواwajaʿalūBut they attributeلَهُlahuto HimمِنْminfromعِبَادِهِʿibādihiHis slavesجُزْءًاjuz'ana portionإِنَّinnaIndeedالْإِنْسَانَl-insānamanلَكَفُورٌlakafūrunsurely (is) clearly ungratefulمُبِينٌmubīnunsurely (is) clearly ungrateful
  16. 16أَمِamiOrاتَّخَذَittakhadhahas He takenمِمَّاmimmāof whatيَخْلُقُyakhluquHe has createdبَنَاتٍbanātindaughtersوَأَصْفَاكُمْwa-aṣfākumand He has chosen (for) youبِالْبَنِينَbil-banīnasons
  17. 17وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenبُشِّرَbushirais given good newsأَحَدُهُمْaḥaduhum(to) one of themبِمَاbimāof whatضَرَبَḍarabahe sets upلِلرَّحْمَنِlilrraḥmānifor the Most Graciousمَثَلًاmathalan(as) a likenessظَلَّẓallabecomesوَجْهُهُwajhuhuhis faceمُسْوَدًّاmus'waddandarkوَهُوَwahuwaand heكَظِيمٌkaẓīmun(is) filled with grief
  18. 18أَوَمَنْawamanThen (is one) whoيُنَشَّؤُاyunasha-uis brought upفِيinالْحِلْيَةِl-ḥil'yatiornamentsوَهُوَwahuwaand heفِيinالْخِصَامِl-khiṣāmithe disputeغَيْرُghayru(is) notمُبِينٍmubīninclear
  19. 19وَجَعَلُواwajaʿalūAnd they madeالْمَلَائِكَةَl-malāikatathe Angelsالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoهُمْhumthemselvesعِبَادُʿibādu(are) slavesالرَّحْمَنِl-raḥmāni(of) the Most GraciousإِنَاثًاināthanfemalesأَشَهِدُواashahidūDid they witnessخَلْقَهُمْkhalqahumtheir creationسَتُكْتَبُsatuk'tabuWill be recordedشَهَادَتُهُمْshahādatuhumtheir testimonyوَيُسْءَلُونَwayus'alūnaand they will be questioned
  20. 20وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they sayلَوْlawIfشَاءَshāahad willedالرَّحْمَنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Graciousمَا(we would) notعَبَدْنَاهُمْʿabadnāhumhave worshiped themمَاNotلَهُمْlahumthey haveبِذَلِكَbidhālikaabout thatمِنْminanyعِلْمٍʿil'minknowledgeإِنْinNothingهُمْhumthey (do)إِلَّاillābutيَخْرُصُونَyakhruṣūnalie
  21. 21أَمْamOrءَاتَيْنَاهُمْātaynāhumhave We given themكِتَابًاkitābana bookمِنْminbefore itقَبْلِهِqablihibefore itفَهُمْfahumso theyبِهِbihito itمُسْتَمْسِكُونَmus'tamsikūna(are) holding fast
  22. 22بَلْbalNayقَالُواqālūthey sayإِنَّاinnāIndeed weوَجَدْنَاwajadnā[we] foundءَابَاءَنَاābāanāour forefathersعَلَىʿalāuponأُمَّةٍummatina religionوَإِنَّاwa-innāand indeed weعَلَىʿalāonءَاثَارِهِمْāthārihimtheir footstepsمُهْتَدُونَmuh'tadūna(are) guided
  23. 23وَكَذَلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusمَاnotأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentمِنْminbefore youقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youفِيinقَرْيَةٍqaryatina townمِنْminanyنَذِيرٍnadhīrinwarnerإِلَّاillāexceptقَالَqālasaidمُتْرَفُوهَاmut'rafūhā(the) wealthy ones of itإِنَّاinnāIndeed, weوَجَدْنَاwajadnā[we] foundءَابَاءَنَاābāanāour forefathersعَلَىʿalāonأُمَّةٍummatina religionوَإِنَّاwa-innāand indeed, weعَلَىʿalā[on]ءَاثَارِهِمْāthārihimtheir footstepsمُقْتَدُونَmuq'tadūna(are) following
  24. 24قَالَqālaHe saidأَوَلَوْawalawEven ifجِئْتُكُمْji'tukumI brought youبِأَهْدَىbi-ahdābetter guidanceمِمَّاmimmāthan whatوَجَدْتُمْwajadttumyou foundعَلَيْهِʿalayhion itءَابَاءَكُمْābāakumyour forefathersقَالُواqālūThey saidإِنَّاinnāIndeed weبِمَاbimāwith whatأُرْسِلْتُمْur'sil'tumyou are sentبِهِbihiwith [it]كَافِرُونَkāfirūna(are) disbelievers
  25. 25فَانْتَقَمْنَاfa-intaqamnāSo We took retributionمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themفَانْظُرْfa-unẓurThen seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَاقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endالْمُكَذِّبِينَl-mukadhibīna(of) the deniers
  26. 26وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenقَالَqālaIbrahim saidإِبْرَاهِيمُib'rāhīmuIbrahim saidلِأَبِيهِli-abīhito his fatherوَقَوْمِهِwaqawmihiand his peopleإِنَّنِيinnanīIndeed, I (am)بَرَاءٌbarāondisassociatedمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnayou worship
  27. 27إِلَّاillāExceptالَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoفَطَرَنِيfaṭaranīcreated meفَإِنَّهُfa-innahuand indeed Heسَيَهْدِينِsayahdīniwill guide me
  28. 28وَجَعَلَهَاwajaʿalahāAnd he made itكَلِمَةًkalimatana wordبَاقِيَةًbāqiyatanlastingفِيamongعَقِبِهِʿaqibihihis descendentsلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūnareturn
  29. 29بَلْbalNayمَتَّعْتُmattaʿtuI gave enjoymentهَؤُلَاءِhāulāi(to) theseوَءَابَاءَهُمْwaābāahumand their forefathersحَتَّىḥattāuntilجَاءَهُمُjāahumucame to themالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe truthوَرَسُولٌwarasūlunand a Messengerمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  30. 30وَلَمَّاwalammāAnd whenجَاءَهُمُjāahumucame to themالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe truthقَالُواqālūthey saidهَذَاhādhāThisسِحْرٌsiḥ'run(is) magicوَإِنَّاwa-innāand indeed weبِهِbihiof itكَافِرُونَkāfirūna(are) disbelievers
  31. 31وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they sayلَوْلَاlawlāWhy notنُزِّلَnuzzilawas sent downهَذَاhādhāthisالْقُرْءَانُl-qur'ānuthe Quranعَلَىʿalātoرَجُلٍrajulina manمِنَminafromالْقَرْيَتَيْنِl-qaryataynithe two townsعَظِيمٍʿaẓīmingreat
  32. 32أَهُمْahumDo theyيَقْسِمُونَyaqsimūnadistributeرَحْمَتَraḥmata(the) Mercyرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your LordنَحْنُnaḥnuWeقَسَمْنَاqasamnā[We] distributeبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumamong themمَعِيشَتَهُمْmaʿīshatahumtheir livelihoodفِيinالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayatithe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَرَفَعْنَاwarafaʿnāand We raiseبَعْضَهُمْbaʿḍahumsome of themفَوْقَfawqaaboveبَعْضٍbaʿḍinothersدَرَجَاتٍdarajātin(in) degreesلِيَتَّخِذَliyattakhidhaso that may takeبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themبَعْضًاbaʿḍanothersسُخْرِيًّاsukh'riyyan(for) serviceوَرَحْمَتُwaraḥmatuBut (the) Mercyرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordخَيْرٌkhayrun(is) betterمِمَّاmimmāthan whatيَجْمَعُونَyajmaʿūnathey accumulate
  33. 33وَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd if notأَنْanthatيَكُونَyakūna(would) becomeالنَّاسُl-nāsu[the] mankindأُمَّةًummatana communityوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatanoneلَجَعَلْنَاlajaʿalnāWe (would have) madeلِمَنْlimanfor (one) whoيَكْفُرُyakfurudisbelievesبِالرَّحْمَنِbil-raḥmāniin the Most Graciousلِبُيُوتِهِمْlibuyūtihimfor their housesسُقُفًاsuqufanroofsمِنْminofفِضَّةٍfiḍḍatinsilverوَمَعَارِجَwamaʿārijaand stairwaysعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāupon whichيَظْهَرُونَyaẓharūnathey mount
  34. 34وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْwalibuyūtihimAnd for their housesأَبْوَابًاabwābandoorsوَسُرُرًاwasururanand couchesعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāupon whichيَتَّكِئُونَyattakiūnathey recline
  35. 35وَزُخْرُفًاwazukh'rufanAnd ornaments of goldوَإِنْwa-inAnd not (is)كُلُّkulluallذَلِكَdhālikathatلَمَّاlammābutمَتَاعُmatāʿuan enjoymentالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayati(of) the lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَالْءَاخِرَةُwal-ākhiratuAnd the Hereafterعِنْدَʿindawithرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordلِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīna(is) for the righteous
  36. 36وَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيَعْشُyaʿshuturns awayعَنْʿanfromذِكْرِdhik'ri(the) remembranceالرَّحْمَنِl-raḥmāni(of) the Most GraciousنُقَيِّضْnuqayyiḍWe appointلَهُlahufor himشَيْطَانًاshayṭānana devilفَهُوَfahuwathen heلَهُlahu(is) to himقَرِينٌqarīnuna companion
  37. 37وَإِنَّهُمْwa-innahumAnd indeed theyلَيَصُدُّونَهُمْlayaṣuddūnahumsurely turn them awayعَنِʿanifromالسَّبِيلِl-sabīlithe Pathوَيَحْسَبُونَwayaḥsabūnaand they thinkأَنَّهُمْannahumthat theyمُهْتَدُونَmuh'tadūna(are) guided
  38. 38حَتَّىḥattāUntilإِذَاidhāwhenجَاءَنَاjāanāhe comes to Usقَالَqālahe saysيَالَيْتَyālaytaO would thatبَيْنِيbaynībetween meوَبَيْنَكَwabaynakaand between youبُعْدَbuʿ'da(were the) distanceالْمَشْرِقَيْنِl-mashriqayni(of) the East and the Westفَبِئْسَfabi'saHow wretched isالْقَرِينُl-qarīnuthe companion!
  39. 39وَلَنْwalanAnd will neverيَنْفَعَكُمُyanfaʿakumubenefit youالْيَوْمَl-yawmathe Dayإِذْidhwhenظَلَمْتُمْẓalamtumyou have wrongedأَنَّكُمْannakumthat youفِي(will be) inالْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābithe punishmentمُشْتَرِكُونَmush'tarikūnasharing
  40. 40أَفَأَنْتَafa-antaThen can youتُسْمِعُtus'miʿucause to hearالصُّمَّl-ṣumathe deafأَوْaworتَهْدِيtahdīguideالْعُمْيَl-ʿum'yathe blindوَمَنْwamanand (one) whoكَانَkānaisفِيinضَلَالٍḍalālinan errorمُبِينٍmubīninclear
  41. 41فَإِمَّاfa-immāAnd whetherنَذْهَبَنَّnadhhabannaWe take you awayبِكَbikaWe take you awayفَإِنَّاfa-innāthen indeed, Weمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themمُنْتَقِمُونَmuntaqimūna(will) take retribution
  42. 42أَوْawOrنُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youالَّذِيalladhīthat whichوَعَدْنَاهُمْwaʿadnāhumWe have promised themفَإِنَّاfa-innāthen indeed Weعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimover themمُقْتَدِرُونَmuq'tadirūnahave full power
  43. 43فَاسْتَمْسِكْfa-is'tamsikSo hold fastبِالَّذِيbi-alladhīto that whichأُوحِيَūḥiyais revealedإِلَيْكَilaykato youإِنَّكَinnakaIndeed youعَلَىʿalā(are) onصِرَاطٍṣirāṭina Pathمُسْتَقِيمٍmus'taqīminStraight
  44. 44وَإِنَّهُwa-innahuAnd indeed itلَذِكْرٌladhik'run(is) surely a Reminderلَكَlakafor youوَلِقَوْمِكَwaliqawmikaand your peopleوَسَوْفَwasawfaand soonتُسْءَلُونَtus'alūnayou will be questioned
  45. 45وَسْءَلْwasalAnd askمَنْman(those) whomأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentمِنْminbefore youقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youمِنْminofرُسُلِنَاrusulināOur Messengersأَجَعَلْنَاajaʿalnādid We makeمِنْminbesidesدُونِdūnibesidesالرَّحْمَنِl-raḥmānithe Most Graciousءَالِهَةًālihatangodsيُعْبَدُونَyuʿ'badūnato be worshipped
  46. 46وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentمُوسَىmūsāMusaبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātināwith Our Signsإِلَىilātoفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawnaFiraunوَمَلَإيهِwamala-ihiand his chiefsفَقَالَfaqālaand he saidإِنِّيinnīIndeed I amرَسُولُrasūlua Messengerرَبِّrabbi(of the) Lordالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
  47. 47فَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenجَاءَهُمْjāahumhe came to themبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātināwith Our Signsإِذَاidhābehold!هُمْhumTheyمِنْهَاmin'hāat themيَضْحَكُونَyaḍḥakūnalaughed
  48. 48وَمَاwamāAnd notنُرِيهِمْnurīhimWe showed themمِنْminofءَايَةٍāyatina Signإِلَّاillābutهِيَhiyaitأَكْبَرُakbaru(was) greaterمِنْminthanأُخْتِهَاukh'tihāits sisterوَأَخَذْنَاهُمْwa-akhadhnāhumand We seized themبِالْعَذَابِbil-ʿadhābiwith the punishmentلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūnareturn
  49. 49وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they saidيَاأَيُّهَyāayyuhaOالسَّاحِرُl-sāḥiru[the] magician!ادْعُud'ʿuInvokeلَنَاlanāfor usرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordبِمَاbimāby whatعَهِدَʿahidaHe has made covenantعِنْدَكَʿindakawith youإِنَّنَاinnanāIndeed weلَمُهْتَدُونَlamuh'tadūna(will) surely be guided
  50. 50فَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenكَشَفْنَاkashafnāWe removedعَنْهُمُʿanhumufrom themالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentإِذَاidhābehold!هُمْhumTheyيَنْكُثُونَyankuthūnabroke (their word)
  51. 51وَنَادَىwanādāAnd called outفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuFiraunفِيamongقَوْمِهِqawmihihis peopleقَالَqālahe saidيَاقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleأَلَيْسَalaysaIs notلِيfor meمُلْكُmul'ku(the) kingdomمِصْرَmiṣ'ra(of) Egyptوَهَذِهِwahādhihiand theseالْأَنْهَارُl-anhāru[the] riversتَجْرِيtajrīflowingمِنْminunderneath meتَحْتِيtaḥtīunderneath meأَفَلَاafalāThen do notتُبْصِرُونَtub'ṣirūnayou see
  52. 52أَمْamOrأَنَاanāam Iخَيْرٌkhayrunbetterمِنْminthanهَذَاhādhāthisالَّذِيalladhīone whoهُوَhuwaheمَهِينٌmahīnun(is) insignificantوَلَاwalāand hardlyيَكَادُyakāduand hardlyيُبِينُyubīnuclear
  53. 53فَلَوْلَاfalawlāThen why notأُلْقِيَul'qiyaare placedعَلَيْهِʿalayhion himأَسْوِرَةٌaswiratunbraceletsمِنْminofذَهَبٍdhahabingoldأَوْaworجَاءَjāacomeمَعَهُmaʿahuwith himالْمَلَائِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angelsمُقْتَرِنِينَmuq'tarinīnaaccompanying (him)
  54. 54فَاسْتَخَفَّfa-is'takhaffaSo he bluffedقَوْمَهُqawmahuhis peopleفَأَطَاعُوهُfa-aṭāʿūhuand they obeyed himإِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواkānūwereقَوْمًاqawmana peopleفَاسِقِينَfāsiqīnadefiantly disobedient
  55. 55فَلَمَّاfalammāSo whenءَاسَفُونَاāsafūnāthey angered UsانْتَقَمْنَاintaqamnāWe took retributionمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themفَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْfa-aghraqnāhumand We drowned themأَجْمَعِينَajmaʿīnaall
  56. 56فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْfajaʿalnāhumAnd We made themسَلَفًاsalafana precedentوَمَثَلًاwamathalanand an exampleلِلْءَاخِرِينَlil'ākhirīnafor the later (generations)
  57. 57وَلَمَّاwalammāAnd whenضُرِبَḍuribais presentedابْنُub'nu(the) sonمَرْيَمَmaryama(of) Maryamمَثَلًاmathalan(as) an exampleإِذَاidhābehold!قَوْمُكَqawmukaYour peopleمِنْهُmin'huabout itيَصِدُّونَyaṣiddūnalaughed aloud
  58. 58وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they saidءَأَالِهَتُنَاaālihatunāAre our godsخَيْرٌkhayrunbetterأَمْamorهُوَhuwaheمَاNotضَرَبُوهُḍarabūhuthey present itلَكَlakato youإِلَّاillāexceptجَدَلًاjadalan(for) argumentبَلْbalNayهُمْhumtheyقَوْمٌqawmun(are) a peopleخَصِمُونَkhaṣimūnaargumentative
  59. 59إِنْinNotهُوَhuwaheإِلَّاillā(was) exceptعَبْدٌʿabduna slaveأَنْعَمْنَاanʿamnāWe bestowed Our favorعَلَيْهِʿalayhion himوَجَعَلْنَاهُwajaʿalnāhuand We made himمَثَلًاmathalanan exampleلِبَنِيlibanīfor (the) Children of Israelإِسْرَاءِيلَis'rāīlafor (the) Children of Israel
  60. 60وَلَوْwalawAnd ifنَشَاءُnashāuWe willedلَجَعَلْنَاlajaʿalnāsurely We (could have) madeمِنْكُمْminkumamong youمَلَائِكَةًmalāikatanAngelsفِيinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthيَخْلُفُونَyakhlufūnasucceeding
  61. 61وَإِنَّهُwa-innahuAnd indeed itلَعِلْمٌlaʿil'munsurely (is) a knowledgeلِلسَّاعَةِlilssāʿatiof the HourفَلَاfalāSo (do) notتَمْتَرُنَّtamtarunna(be) doubtfulبِهَاbihāabout itوَاتَّبِعُونِwa-ittabiʿūniand follow MeهَذَاhādhāThisصِرَاطٌṣirāṭun(is the) Pathمُسْتَقِيمٌmus'taqīmunStraight
  62. 62وَلَاwalāAnd (let) notيَصُدَّنَّكُمُyaṣuddannakumuavert youالشَّيْطَانُl-shayṭānuthe ShaitaanإِنَّهُinnahuIndeed heلَكُمْlakum(is) for youعَدُوٌّʿaduwwunan enemyمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  63. 63وَلَمَّاwalammāAnd whenجَاءَjāacameعِيسَىʿīsāIsaبِالْبَيِّنَاتِbil-bayinātiwith clear proofsقَالَqālahe saidقَدْqadVerilyجِئْتُكُمْji'tukumI have come to youبِالْحِكْمَةِbil-ḥik'matiwith wisdomوَلِأُبَيِّنَwali-ubayyinaand that I make clearلَكُمْlakumto youبَعْضَbaʿḍasomeالَّذِيalladhī(of) that whichتَخْتَلِفُونَtakhtalifūnayou differفِيهِfīhiin itفَاتَّقُواfa-ittaqūSo fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَأَطِيعُونِwa-aṭīʿūniand obey me
  64. 64إِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahهُوَhuwaHeرَبِّيrabbī(is) my Lordوَرَبُّكُمْwarabbukumand your Lordفَاعْبُدُوهُfa-uʿ'budūhuso worship HimهَذَاhādhāThisصِرَاطٌṣirāṭun(is) a Pathمُسْتَقِيمٌmus'taqīmunStraight
  65. 65فَاخْتَلَفَfa-ikh'talafaBut differedالْأَحْزَابُl-aḥzābuthe factionsمِنْminfromبَيْنِهِمْbaynihimamong themفَوَيْلٌfawaylunso woeلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoظَلَمُواẓalamūwrongedمِنْminfromعَذَابِʿadhābi(the) punishmentيَوْمٍyawmin(of the) Dayأَلِيمٍalīminpainful
  66. 66هَلْhalAreيَنْظُرُونَyanẓurūnathey waitingإِلَّاillāexceptالسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata(for) the Hourأَنْanthatتَأْتِيَهُمْtatiyahumit should come on themبَغْتَةًbaghtatansuddenlyوَهُمْwahumwhile theyلَا(do) notيَشْعُرُونَyashʿurūnaperceive
  67. 67الْأَخِلَّاءُal-akhilāuFriendsيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themلِبَعْضٍlibaʿḍinto othersعَدُوٌّʿaduwwun(will be) enemiesإِلَّاillāexceptالْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīnathe righteous
  68. 68يَاعِبَادِyāʿibādiO My slaves!لَاNoخَوْفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيْكُمُʿalaykumuon youالْيَوْمَl-yawmathis Dayوَلَاwalāand notأَنْتُمْantumyouتَحْزَنُونَtaḥzanūnawill grieve
  69. 69الَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātināin Our Versesوَكَانُواwakānūand wereمُسْلِمِينَmus'limīnasubmissive
  70. 70ادْخُلُواud'khulūEnterالْجَنَّةَl-janataParadiseأَنْتُمْantumyouوَأَزْوَاجُكُمْwa-azwājukumand your spousesتُحْبَرُونَtuḥ'barūnadelighted
  71. 71يُطَافُyuṭāfuWill be circulatedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimfor themبِصِحَافٍbiṣiḥāfinplatesمِنْminofذَهَبٍdhahabingoldوَأَكْوَابٍwa-akwābinand cupsوَفِيهَاwafīhāAnd thereinمَا(is) whatتَشْتَهِيهِtashtahīhidesiresالْأَنْفُسُl-anfusuthe soulsوَتَلَذُّwataladhuand delightsالْأَعْيُنُl-aʿyunuthe eyesوَأَنْتُمْwa-antumand youفِيهَاfīhāthereinخَالِدُونَkhālidūnawill abide forever
  72. 72وَتِلْكَwatil'kaAnd thisالْجَنَّةُl-janatu(is) the Paradiseالَّتِيallatīwhichأُورِثْتُمُوهَاūrith'tumūhāyou are made to inheritبِمَاbimāfor whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
  73. 73لَكُمْlakumFor youفِيهَاfīhāthereinفَاكِهَةٌfākihatun(are) fruitsكَثِيرَةٌkathīratunabundantمِنْهَاmin'hāfrom itتَأْكُلُونَtakulūnayou will eat
  74. 74إِنَّinnaIndeedالْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīnathe criminalsفِي(will be) inعَذَابِʿadhābi(the) punishmentجَهَنَّمَjahannama(of) Hellخَالِدُونَkhālidūnaabiding forever
  75. 75لَاNotيُفَتَّرُyufattaruwill it subsideعَنْهُمْʿanhumfor themوَهُمْwahumand theyفِيهِfīhiin itمُبْلِسُونَmub'lisūna(will) despair
  76. 76وَمَاwamāAnd notظَلَمْنَاهُمْẓalamnāhumWe wronged themوَلَكِنْwalākinbutكَانُواkānūthey wereهُمُhumuthemselvesالظَّالِمِينَl-ẓālimīnawrongdoers
  77. 77وَنَادَوْاwanādawAnd they will callيَامَالِكُyāmālikuO Malik!لِيَقْضِliyaqḍiLet put an endعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāto usرَبُّكَrabbukayour LordقَالَqālaHe (will) sayإِنَّكُمْinnakumIndeed youمَاكِثُونَmākithūna(will) remain
  78. 78لَقَدْlaqadCertainlyجِئْنَاكُمْji'nākumWe have brought youبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqithe truthوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutأَكْثَرَكُمْaktharakummost of youلِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqito the truthكَارِهُونَkārihūna(are) averse
  79. 79أَمْamOrأَبْرَمُواabramūhave they determinedأَمْرًاamranan affairفَإِنَّاfa-innāThen indeed Weمُبْرِمُونَmub'rimūna(are) determined
  80. 80أَمْamOrيَحْسَبُونَyaḥsabūna(do) they thinkأَنَّاannāthat Weلَا(can) notنَسْمَعُnasmaʿuhearسِرَّهُمْsirrahumtheir secret(s)وَنَجْوَاهُمْwanajwāhumand their private counsel(s)بَلَىbalāNayوَرُسُلُنَاwarusulunāand Our Messengersلَدَيْهِمْladayhimwith themيَكْتُبُونَyaktubūnaare recording
  81. 81قُلْqulSayإِنْinIfكَانَkānahadلِلرَّحْمَنِlilrraḥmānithe Most Graciousوَلَدٌwaladuna sonفَأَنَاfa-anāThen Iأَوَّلُawwalu(would be the) firstالْعَابِدِينَl-ʿābidīna(of) the worshippers
  82. 82سُبْحَانَsub'ḥānaGlory beرَبِّrabbi(to the) Lordالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordالْعَرْشِl-ʿarshi(of) the Throneعَمَّاʿammāabove whatيَصِفُونَyaṣifūnathey ascribe
  83. 83فَذَرْهُمْfadharhumSo leave themيَخُوضُواyakhūḍū(to) converse vainlyوَيَلْعَبُواwayalʿabūand playحَتَّىḥattāuntilيُلَاقُواyulāqūthey meetيَوْمَهُمُyawmahumutheir Dayالَّذِيalladhīwhichيُوعَدُونَyūʿadūnathey are promised
  84. 84وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoفِي(is) inالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe heavenإِلَهٌilāhunGodوَفِيwafīand inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthإِلَهٌilāhunGodوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heالْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmu(is) the All-Wiseالْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmuthe All-Knower
  85. 85وَتَبَارَكَwatabārakaAnd blessed isالَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoلَهُlahuto Whomمُلْكُmul'ku(belongs the) dominionالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَمَاwamāand whateverبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā(is) between both of themوَعِنْدَهُwaʿindahuand with Himعِلْمُʿil'mu(is the) knowledgeالسَّاعَةِl-sāʿati(of) the Hourوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Himتُرْجَعُونَtur'jaʿūnayou will be returned
  86. 86وَلَاwalāAnd notيَمْلِكُyamlikuhave powerالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whomيَدْعُونَyadʿūnathey invokeمِنْminbesides Himدُونِهِdūnihibesides Himالشَّفَاعَةَl-shafāʿata(for) the intercessionإِلَّاillāexceptمَنْmanwhoشَهِدَshahidatestifiesبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqito the truthوَهُمْwahumand theyيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
  87. 87وَلَئِنْwala-inAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمْsa-altahumyou ask themمَنْmanwhoخَلَقَهُمْkhalaqahumcreated themلَيَقُولُنَّlayaqūlunnathey will certainly sayاللَّهُl-lahuAllahفَأَنَّىfa-annāThen howيُؤْفَكُونَyu'fakūnaare they deluded
  88. 88وَقِيلِهِwaqīlihiAnd his sayingيَارَبِّyārabbiO my Lord!إِنَّinnaIndeedهَؤُلَاءِhāulāitheseقَوْمٌqawmun(are) a peopleلَا(who do) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
  89. 89فَاصْفَحْfa-iṣ'faḥSo turn awayعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themوَقُلْwaquland sayسَلَامٌsalāmunPeaceفَسَوْفَfasawfaBut soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnathey will know
