بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 37 — As-Saaffaat

  1. 1وَالصَّافَّاتِwal-ṣāfātiBy those linedصَفًّاṣaffan(in) rows
  2. 2فَالزَّاجِرَاتِfal-zājirātiAnd those who driveزَجْرًاzajranstrongly
  3. 3فَالتَّالِيَاتِfal-tāliyātiAnd those who reciteذِكْرًاdhik'ran(the) Message
  4. 4إِنَّinnaIndeedإِلَهَكُمْilāhakumyour Lordلَوَاحِدٌlawāḥidun(is) surely One
  5. 5رَبُّrabbuLordالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَمَاwamāand whatبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā(is) between both of themوَرَبُّwarabbuand Lordالْمَشَارِقِl-mashāriqi(of) each point of sunrise
  6. 6إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weزَيَّنَّاzayyannā[We] adornedالسَّمَاءَl-samāathe heavenالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yānearestبِزِينَةٍbizīnatinwith an adornmentالْكَوَاكِبِl-kawākibi(of) the stars
  7. 7وَحِفْظًاwaḥif'ẓanAnd (to) guardمِنْminagainstكُلِّkullieveryشَيْطَانٍshayṭānindevilمَارِدٍmāridinrebellious
  8. 8لَاNotيَسَّمَّعُونَyassammaʿūnathey may listenإِلَىilātoالْمَلَإِl-mala-ithe assemblyالْأَعْلَىl-aʿlā[the] exaltedوَيُقْذَفُونَwayuq'dhafūnaare peltedمِنْminfromكُلِّkullieveryجَانِبٍjānibinside
  9. 9دُحُورًاduḥūranRepelledوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishmentوَاصِبٌwāṣibunperpetual
  10. 10إِلَّاillāExceptمَنْman(him) whoخَطِفَkhaṭifasnatchesالْخَطْفَةَl-khaṭfata(by) theftفَأَتْبَعَهُfa-atbaʿahubut follows himشِهَابٌshihābuna burning flameثَاقِبٌthāqibunpiercing
  11. 11فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْfa-is'taftihimThen ask themأَهُمْahumAre theyأَشَدُّashaddua strongerخَلْقًاkhalqancreationأَمْamorمَنْman(those) whomخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnāWe have createdإِنَّاinnāIndeed Weخَلَقْنَاهُمْkhalaqnāhumcreated themمِنْminfromطِينٍṭīnina clayلَازِبٍlāzibinsticky
  12. 12بَلْbalNayعَجِبْتَʿajib'tayou wonderوَيَسْخَرُونَwayaskharūnawhile they mock
  13. 13وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenذُكِّرُواdhukkirūthey are remindedلَاnotيَذْكُرُونَyadhkurūnathey receive admonition
  14. 14وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenرَأَوْاra-awthey seeءَايَةًāyatana Signيَسْتَسْخِرُونَyastaskhirūnathey mock
  15. 15وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they sayإِنْinNotهَذَاhādhā(is) thisإِلَّاillāexceptسِحْرٌsiḥ'runa magicمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  16. 16أَءِذَاa-idhāIs it whenمِتْنَاmit'nāwe are deadوَكُنَّاwakunnāand have becomeتُرَابًاturābandustوَعِظَامًاwaʿiẓāmanand bonesأَءِنَّاa-innāshall we thenلَمَبْعُوثُونَlamabʿūthūnabe certainly resurrected
  17. 17أَوَءَابَاؤُنَاawaābāunāOr our fathersالْأَوَّلُونَl-awalūnaformer
  18. 18قُلْqulSayنَعَمْnaʿamYesوَأَنْتُمْwa-antumand youدَاخِرُونَdākhirūna(will be) humiliated
  19. 19فَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāThen onlyهِيَhiyaitزَجْرَةٌzajratun(will be) a cryوَاحِدَةٌwāḥidatunsingleفَإِذَاfa-idhāthen behold!هُمْhumTheyيَنْظُرُونَyanẓurūnawill see
  20. 20وَقَالُواwaqālūAnd they will sayيَاوَيْلَنَاyāwaylanāO woe to us!هَذَاhādhāThisيَوْمُyawmu(is the) Dayالدِّينِl-dīni(of) the Recompense
  21. 21هَذَاhādhāThisيَوْمُyawmu(is the) Dayالْفَصْلِl-faṣli(of) Judgmentالَّذِيalladhīwhichكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used toبِهِbihi[of it]تُكَذِّبُونَtukadhibūnadeny
  22. 22احْشُرُواuḥ'shurūGatherالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoظَلَمُواẓalamūwrongedوَأَزْوَاجَهُمْwa-azwājahumand their kindsوَمَاwamāand whatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūnaworship
  23. 23مِنْminBesidesدُونِdūniBesidesاللَّهِl-lahiAllahفَاهْدُوهُمْfa-ih'dūhumthen lead themإِلَىilātoصِرَاطِṣirāṭi(the) Pathالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the Hellfire
  24. 24وَقِفُوهُمْwaqifūhumAnd stop themإِنَّهُمْinnahumindeed theyمَسْءُولُونَmasūlūna(are) to be questioned
  25. 25مَاWhatلَكُمْlakum(is) for youلَا(Why) notتَنَاصَرُونَtanāṣarūnayou help one another
  26. 26بَلْbalNayهُمُhumutheyالْيَوْمَl-yawma(on) that Dayمُسْتَسْلِمُونَmus'taslimūna(will) surrender
  27. 27وَأَقْبَلَwa-aqbalaAnd will approachبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themعَلَىʿalātoبَعْضٍbaʿḍinothersيَتَسَاءَلُونَyatasāalūnaquestioning one another
  28. 28قَالُواqālūThey will sayإِنَّكُمْinnakumIndeed youكُنْتُمْkuntum[you] used (to)تَأْتُونَنَاtatūnanācome (to) usعَنِʿanifromالْيَمِينِl-yamīnithe right
  29. 29قَالُواqālūThey will sayبَلْbalNayلَمْlamnotتَكُونُواtakūnūyou wereمُؤْمِنِينَmu'minīnabelievers
  30. 30وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasلَنَاlanāfor usعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumover youمِنْminanyسُلْطَانٍsul'ṭāninauthorityبَلْbalNayكُنْتُمْkuntumyou wereقَوْمًاqawmana peopleطَاغِينَṭāghīnatransgressing
  31. 31فَحَقَّfaḥaqqaSo has been proved trueعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāagainst usقَوْلُqawlu(the) Wordرَبِّنَاrabbinā(of) our Lordإِنَّاinnāindeed weلَذَائِقُونَladhāiqūna(will) certainly taste
  32. 32فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْfa-aghwaynākumSo we led you astrayإِنَّاinnāindeed weكُنَّاkunnāwereغَاوِينَghāwīnaastray
  33. 33فَإِنَّهُمْfa-innahumThen indeed theyيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayفِيinالْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābithe punishmentمُشْتَرِكُونَmush'tarikūna(will be) sharers
  34. 34إِنَّاinnāIndeed WeكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَفْعَلُnafʿaluWe dealبِالْمُجْرِمِينَbil-muj'rimīnawith the criminals
  35. 35إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواkānūwereإِذَاidhāwhenقِيلَqīlait was saidلَهُمْlahumto themلَا(There is) noإِلَهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptاللَّهُl-lahuAllahيَسْتَكْبِرُونَyastakbirūnawere arrogant
  36. 36وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaAnd they sayأَءِنَّاa-innāAre weلَتَارِكُواlatārikūto leaveءَالِهَتِنَاālihatināour godsلِشَاعِرٍlishāʿirinfor a poetمَجْنُونٍmajnūninmad
  37. 37بَلْbalNayجَاءَjāahe has broughtبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqithe truthوَصَدَّقَwaṣaddaqaand confirmedالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  38. 38إِنَّكُمْinnakumIndeed youلَذَائِقُواladhāiqū(will) surely tasteالْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābithe punishmentالْأَلِيمِl-alīmipainful
  39. 39وَمَاwamāAnd notتُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawnayou will be recompensedإِلَّاillāexceptمَاwhatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
  40. 40إِلَّاillāExceptعِبَادَʿibāda(the) slavesاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahالْمُخْلَصِينَl-mukh'laṣīnathe chosen ones
  41. 41أُولَئِكَulāikaThoseلَهُمْlahumfor themرِزْقٌriz'qun(will be) a provisionمَعْلُومٌmaʿlūmundetermined
  42. 42فَوَاكِهُfawākihuFruitsوَهُمْwahumand theyمُكْرَمُونَmuk'ramūna(will) be honored
  43. 43فِيInجَنَّاتِjannātiGardensالنَّعِيمِl-naʿīmi(of) Delight
  44. 44عَلَىʿalāOnسُرُرٍsururinthronesمُتَقَابِلِينَmutaqābilīnafacing each other
  45. 45يُطَافُyuṭāfuWill be circulatedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimamong themبِكَأْسٍbikasina cupمِنْminfromمَعِينٍmaʿīnina flowing spring
  46. 46بَيْضَاءَbayḍāaWhiteلَذَّةٍladhatindeliciousلِلشَّارِبِينَlilshāribīnafor the drinkers
  47. 47لَاNotفِيهَاfīhāin itغَوْلٌghawlun(is) bad effectوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyعَنْهَاʿanhāfrom itيُنْزَفُونَyunzafūnawill be intoxicated
  48. 48وَعِنْدَهُمْwaʿindahumAnd with themقَاصِرَاتُqāṣirātu(will be) companions of modest gazeالطَّرْفِl-ṭarfi(will be) companions of modest gazeعِينٌʿīnun(having) beautiful eyes
  49. 49كَأَنَّهُنَّka-annahunnaAs if they wereبَيْضٌbayḍuneggsمَكْنُونٌmaknūnunwell protected
  50. 50فَأَقْبَلَfa-aqbalaAnd (will) approachبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themعَلَىʿalātoبَعْضٍbaʿḍinothersيَتَسَاءَلُونَyatasāalūnaquestioning one another
  51. 51قَالَqālaWill sayقَائِلٌqāiluna speakerمِنْهُمْmin'humamong themإِنِّيinnīIndeed Iكَانَkānahadلِيfor meقَرِينٌqarīnuna companion
  52. 52يَقُولُyaqūluWho (would) sayأَءِنَّكَa-innakaAre you indeedلَمِنَlaminasurely ofالْمُصَدِّقِينَl-muṣadiqīnathose who believe
  53. 53أَءِذَاa-idhāIs (it) whenمِتْنَاmit'nāwe have diedوَكُنَّاwakunnāand becomeتُرَابًاturābandustوَعِظَامًاwaʿiẓāmanand bonesأَءِنَّاa-innāwill weلَمَدِينُونَlamadīnūnasurely be brought to Judgment
  54. 54قَالَqālaHe (will) sayهَلْhalWillأَنْتُمْantumyouمُطَّلِعُونَmuṭṭaliʿūnabe looking
  55. 55فَاطَّلَعَfa-iṭṭalaʿaThen he (will) lookفَرَءَاهُfaraāhuand see himفِيinسَوَاءِsawāi(the) midstالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the Hellfire
  56. 56قَالَqālaHe (will) sayتَاللَّهِtal-lahiBy Allahإِنْinverilyكِدْتَkidttayou almostلَتُرْدِينِlatur'dīniruined me
  57. 57وَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd if notنِعْمَةُniʿ'matu(for the) Graceرَبِّيrabbī(of) my Lordلَكُنْتُlakuntucertainly I (would) have beenمِنَminaamongالْمُحْضَرِينَl-muḥ'ḍarīnathose brought
  58. 58أَفَمَاafamāThen are notنَحْنُnaḥnuweبِمَيِّتِينَbimayyitīna(to) die
  59. 59إِلَّاillāExceptمَوْتَتَنَاmawtatanāour deathالْأُولَىl-ūlāthe firstوَمَاwamāand notنَحْنُnaḥnuweبِمُعَذَّبِينَbimuʿadhabīnawill be punished
  60. 60إِنَّinnaIndeedهَذَاhādhāthisلَهُوَlahuwasurelyالْفَوْزُl-fawzu(is) the attainmentالْعَظِيمُl-ʿaẓīmugreat
  61. 61لِمِثْلِlimith'liFor (the) likeهَذَاhādhā(of) thisفَلْيَعْمَلِfalyaʿmalilet workالْعَامِلُونَl-ʿāmilūnathe workers
  62. 62أَذَلِكَadhālikaIs thatخَيْرٌkhayrunbetterنُزُلًاnuzulan(as) hospitalityأَمْamorشَجَرَةُshajaratu(the) treeالزَّقُّومِl-zaqūmi(of) Zaqqum
  63. 63إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weجَعَلْنَاهَاjaʿalnāhā[We] have made itفِتْنَةًfit'natana trialلِلظَّالِمِينَlilẓẓālimīnafor the wrongdoers
  64. 64إِنَّهَاinnahāIndeed itشَجَرَةٌshajaratun(is) a treeتَخْرُجُtakhrujuthat growsفِيinأَصْلِaṣli(the) bottomالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the Hellfire
  65. 65طَلْعُهَاṭalʿuhāIts emerging fruitكَأَنَّهُka-annahu(is) as if itرُءُوسُruūsu(was) headsالشَّيَاطِينِl-shayāṭīni(of) the devils
  66. 66فَإِنَّهُمْfa-innahumAnd indeed theyلَءَاكِلُونَlaākilūna(will) surely eatمِنْهَاmin'hāfrom itفَمَالِئُونَfamāliūnaand fillمِنْهَاmin'hāwith itالْبُطُونَl-buṭūna(their) bellies
  67. 67ثُمَّthummaThenإِنَّinnaindeedلَهُمْlahumfor themعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāin itلَشَوْبًاlashawban(is) a mixtureمِنْminofحَمِيمٍḥamīminboiling water
  68. 68ثُمَّthummaThenإِنَّinnaindeedمَرْجِعَهُمْmarjiʿahumtheir returnلَإِلَىla-ilā(will) surely be toالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmithe Hellfire
  69. 69إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed theyأَلْفَوْاalfawfoundءَابَاءَهُمْābāahumtheir fathersضَالِّينَḍāllīnaastray
  70. 70فَهُمْfahumSo theyعَلَىʿalāonءَاثَارِهِمْāthārihimtheir footstepsيُهْرَعُونَyuh'raʿūnathey hastened
  71. 71وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyضَلَّḍallawent astrayقَبْلَهُمْqablahumbefore themأَكْثَرُaktharumostالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former (people)
  72. 72وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentفِيهِمْfīhimamong themمُنْذِرِينَmundhirīnawarners
  73. 73فَانْظُرْfa-unẓurThen seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَاقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endالْمُنْذَرِينَl-mundharīna(of) those who were warned
  74. 74إِلَّاillāExceptعِبَادَʿibāda(the) slavesاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahالْمُخْلَصِينَl-mukh'laṣīnathe chosen ones
  75. 75وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyنَادَانَاnādānācalled UsنُوحٌnūḥunNuhفَلَنِعْمَfalaniʿ'maand Bestالْمُجِيبُونَl-mujībūna(are We as) Responders!
  76. 76وَنَجَّيْنَاهُwanajjaynāhuAnd We saved himوَأَهْلَهُwa-ahlahuand his familyمِنَminafromالْكَرْبِl-karbithe distressالْعَظِيمِl-ʿaẓīmithe great
  77. 77وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We madeذُرِّيَّتَهُdhurriyyatahuhis offspringهُمُhumu[they]الْبَاقِينَl-bāqīnathe survivors
  78. 78وَتَرَكْنَاwataraknāAnd We leftعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor himفِيamongالْءَاخِرِينَl-ākhirīnathe later generations
  79. 79سَلَامٌsalāmunPeace beعَلَىʿalāuponنُوحٍnūḥinNuhفِيamongالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīnathe worlds
  80. 80إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَجْزِيnajzī[We] rewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  81. 81إِنَّهُinnahuIndeed heمِنْmin(was) ofعِبَادِنَاʿibādināOur slavesالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnabelieving
  82. 82ثُمَّthummaThenأَغْرَقْنَاaghraqnāWe drownedالْءَاخَرِينَl-ākharīnathe others
  83. 83وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedمِنْminamongشِيعَتِهِshīʿatihihis kindلَإِبْرَاهِيمَla-ib'rāhīma(was) surely Ibrahim
  84. 84إِذْidhWhenجَاءَjāahe cameرَبَّهُrabbahu(to) his Lordبِقَلْبٍbiqalbinwith a heartسَلِيمٍsalīminsound
  85. 85إِذْidhWhenقَالَqālahe saidلِأَبِيهِli-abīhito his fatherوَقَوْمِهِwaqawmihiand his peopleمَاذَاmādhāWhat is itتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnayou worship
  86. 86أَئِفْكًاa-if'kanIs it falsehoodءَالِهَةًālihatangodsدُونَdūnaother thanاللَّهِl-lahiAllahتُرِيدُونَturīdūna(that) you desire
  87. 87فَمَاfamāThen whatظَنُّكُمْẓannukum(do) you thinkبِرَبِّbirabbiabout (the) Lordالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
  88. 88فَنَظَرَfanaẓaraThen he glancedنَظْرَةًnaẓratana glanceفِيatالنُّجُومِl-nujūmithe stars
  89. 89فَقَالَfaqālaAnd he saidإِنِّيinnīIndeed I amسَقِيمٌsaqīmunsick
  90. 90فَتَوَلَّوْاfatawallawSo they turned awayعَنْهُʿanhufrom himمُدْبِرِينَmud'birīnadeparting
  91. 91فَرَاغَfarāghaThen he turnedإِلَىilātoءَالِهَتِهِمْālihatihimtheir godsفَقَالَfaqālaand saidأَلَاalāDo notتَأْكُلُونَtakulūnayou eat
  92. 92مَاWhat (is)لَكُمْlakumfor youلَاnotتَنْطِقُونَtanṭiqūnayou speak
  93. 93فَرَاغَfarāghaThen he turnedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimupon themضَرْبًاḍarbanstrikingبِالْيَمِينِbil-yamīniwith his right hand
  94. 94فَأَقْبَلُواfa-aqbalūThen they advancedإِلَيْهِilayhitowards himيَزِفُّونَyaziffūnahastening
  95. 95قَالَqālaHe saidأَتَعْبُدُونَataʿbudūnaDo you worshipمَاwhatتَنْحِتُونَtanḥitūnayou carve
  96. 96وَاللَّهُwal-lahuWhile Allahخَلَقَكُمْkhalaqakumcreated youوَمَاwamāAnd whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou make
  97. 97قَالُواqālūThey saidابْنُواib'nūBuildلَهُlahufor himبُنْيَانًاbun'yānana structureفَأَلْقُوهُfa-alqūhuand throw himفِيintoالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmithe blazing Fire
  98. 98فَأَرَادُواfa-arādūAnd they intendedبِهِbihifor himكَيْدًاkaydana plotفَجَعَلْنَاهُمُfajaʿalnāhumubut We made themالْأَسْفَلِينَl-asfalīnathe lowest
  99. 99وَقَالَwaqālaAnd he saidإِنِّيinnīIndeed I amذَاهِبٌdhāhibungoingإِلَىilātoرَبِّيrabbīmy LordسَيَهْدِينِsayahdīniHe will guide me
  100. 100رَبِّrabbiMy Lordهَبْhabgrantلِيmeمِنَminaofالصَّالِحِينَl-ṣāliḥīnathe righteous
  101. 101فَبَشَّرْنَاهُfabasharnāhuSo We gave him the glad tidingsبِغُلَامٍbighulāminof a boyحَلِيمٍḥalīminforbearing
  102. 102فَلَمَّاfalammāThen whenبَلَغَbalaghahe reachedمَعَهُmaʿahuthe (age of) working with himالسَّعْيَl-saʿyathe (age of) working with himقَالَqālahe saidيَابُنَيَّyābunayyaO my sonإِنِّيinnīIndeed, Iأَرَىarāhave seenفِيinالْمَنَامِl-manāmithe dreamأَنِّيannīthat I amأَذْبَحُكَadhbaḥukasacrificing youفَانْظُرْfa-unẓurso lookمَاذَاmādhāwhatتَرَىtarāyou considerقَالَqālaHe saidيَاأَبَتِyāabatiO my fatherافْعَلْif'ʿalDoمَاwhatتُؤْمَرُtu'maruyou are commandedسَتَجِدُنِيsatajidunīYou will find meإِنْinifشَاءَshāaAllah willsاللَّهُl-lahuAllah willsمِنَminaofالصَّابِرِينَl-ṣābirīnathe patient ones
  103. 103فَلَمَّاfalammāThen whenأَسْلَمَاaslamāboth of them had submittedوَتَلَّهُwatallahuand he put him downلِلْجَبِينِlil'jabīniupon his forehead
  104. 104وَنَادَيْنَاهُwanādaynāhuAnd We called out to himأَنْanthatيَاإِبْرَاهِيمُyāib'rāhīmuO Ibrahim!
  105. 105قَدْqadVerilyصَدَّقْتَṣaddaqtayou have fulfilledالرُّءْيَاl-ru'yāthe visionإِنَّاinnāIndeed Weكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَجْزِيnajzī[We] rewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  106. 106إِنَّinnaIndeedهَذَاhādhāthisلَهُوَlahuwawas surelyالْبَلَؤُاl-balāuthe trialالْمُبِينُl-mubīnuclear
  107. 107وَفَدَيْنَاهُwafadaynāhuAnd We ransomed himبِذِبْحٍbidhib'ḥinwith a sacrificeعَظِيمٍʿaẓīmingreat
  108. 108وَتَرَكْنَاwataraknāAnd We leftعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor himفِيamongالْءَاخِرِينَl-ākhirīnathe later generations
  109. 109سَلَامٌsalāmunPeace beعَلَىʿalāonإِبْرَاهِيمَib'rāhīmaIbrahim
  110. 110كَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusنَجْزِيnajzīWe rewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  111. 111إِنَّهُinnahuIndeed he (was)مِنْminofعِبَادِنَاʿibādināOur slavesالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnabelieving
  112. 112وَبَشَّرْنَاهُwabasharnāhuAnd We gave him glad tidingsبِإِسْحَاقَbi-is'ḥāqaof Ishaqنَبِيًّاnabiyyana Prophetمِنَminaamongالصَّالِحِينَl-ṣāliḥīnathe righteous
  113. 113وَبَارَكْنَاwabāraknāAnd We blessedعَلَيْهِʿalayhihimوَعَلَىwaʿalāand [on]إِسْحَاقَis'ḥāqaIshaqوَمِنْwaminAnd ofذُرِّيَّتِهِمَاdhurriyyatihimātheir offspringمُحْسِنٌmuḥ'sinun(are) good-doersوَظَالِمٌwaẓālimunand unjustلِنَفْسِهِlinafsihito himselfمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  114. 114وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyمَنَنَّاmanannāWe conferred FavorعَلَىʿalāuponمُوسَىmūsāMusaوَهَارُونَwahārūnaand Harun
  115. 115وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَاwanajjaynāhumāAnd We saved both of themوَقَوْمَهُمَاwaqawmahumāand their peopleمِنَminafromالْكَرْبِl-karbithe distressالْعَظِيمِl-ʿaẓīmithe great
  116. 116وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْwanaṣarnāhumAnd We helped themفَكَانُواfakānūso they becameهُمُhumuso they becameالْغَالِبِينَl-ghālibīnathe victors
  117. 117وَءَاتَيْنَاهُمَاwaātaynāhumāAnd We gave both of themالْكِتَابَl-kitābathe Bookالْمُسْتَبِينَl-mus'tabīnathe clear
  118. 118وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَاwahadaynāhumāAnd We guided both of themالصِّرَاطَl-ṣirāṭa(to) the Pathالْمُسْتَقِيمَl-mus'taqīmathe Straight
  119. 119وَتَرَكْنَاwataraknāAnd We leftعَلَيْهِمَاʿalayhimāfor both of themفِيamongالْءَاخِرِينَl-ākhirīnathe later generations
  120. 120سَلَامٌsalāmunPeace beعَلَىʿalāuponمُوسَىmūsāMusaوَهَارُونَwahārūnaand Harun
  121. 121إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَجْزِيnajzīrewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  122. 122إِنَّهُمَاinnahumāIndeed both of themمِنْmin(were) ofعِبَادِنَاʿibādināOur slavesالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnabelieving
  123. 123وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedإِلْيَاسَil'yāsaIlyasلَمِنَlamina(was) surely ofالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  124. 124إِذْidhWhenقَالَqālahe saidلِقَوْمِهِliqawmihito his peopleأَلَاalāWill notتَتَّقُونَtattaqūnayou fear
  125. 125أَتَدْعُونَatadʿūnaDo you callبَعْلًاbaʿlanBaalوَتَذَرُونَwatadharūnaand you forsakeأَحْسَنَaḥsana(the) Bestالْخَالِقِينَl-khāliqīna(of) Creators
  126. 126اللَّهَal-lahaAllahرَبَّكُمْrabbakumyour Lordوَرَبَّwarabbaand (the) Lordءَابَائِكُمُābāikumu(of) your forefathersالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) your forefathers
  127. 127فَكَذَّبُوهُfakadhabūhuBut they denied himفَإِنَّهُمْfa-innahumso indeed theyلَمُحْضَرُونَlamuḥ'ḍarūna(will) surely be brought
  128. 128إِلَّاillāExceptعِبَادَʿibāda(the) slavesاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahالْمُخْلَصِينَl-mukh'laṣīnathe chosen ones
  129. 129وَتَرَكْنَاwataraknāAnd We leftعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor himفِيamongالْءَاخِرِينَl-ākhirīnathe later generations
  130. 130سَلَامٌsalāmunPeace beعَلَىʿalāuponإِلْilIlyasيَاسِينَyāsīnaIlyas
  131. 131إِنَّاinnāIndeed Weكَذَلِكَkadhālikathusنَجْزِيnajzīrewardالْمُحْسِنِينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
  132. 132إِنَّهُinnahuIndeed he (was)مِنْminofعِبَادِنَاʿibādināOur slavesالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnabelieving
  133. 133وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedلُوطًاlūṭanLutلَمِنَlamina(was) ofالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  134. 134إِذْidhWhenنَجَّيْنَاهُnajjaynāhuWe saved himوَأَهْلَهُwa-ahlahuand his familyأَجْمَعِينَajmaʿīnaall
  135. 135إِلَّاillāExceptعَجُوزًاʿajūzanan old womanفِي(was) amongالْغَابِرِينَl-ghābirīnathose who remained behind
  136. 136ثُمَّthummaThenدَمَّرْنَاdammarnāWe destroyedالْءَاخَرِينَl-ākharīnathe others
  137. 137وَإِنَّكُمْwa-innakumAnd indeed youلَتَمُرُّونَlatamurrūnasurely passعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimby themمُصْبِحِينَmuṣ'biḥīna(in the) morning
  138. 138وَبِاللَّيْلِwabi-al-layliAnd at nightأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnayou use reason
  139. 139وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedيُونُسَyūnusaYunusلَمِنَlamina(was) surely ofالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  140. 140إِذْidhWhenأَبَقَabaqahe ran awayإِلَىilātoالْفُلْكِl-ful'kithe shipالْمَشْحُونِl-mashḥūniladen
  141. 141فَسَاهَمَfasāhamaThen he drew lotsفَكَانَfakānaand wasمِنَminaofالْمُدْحَضِينَl-mud'ḥaḍīnathe losers
  142. 142فَالْتَقَمَهُfal-taqamahuThen swallowed himالْحُوتُl-ḥūtuthe fishوَهُوَwahuwawhile heمُلِيمٌmulīmun(was) blameworthy
  143. 143فَلَوْلَاfalawlāAnd if notأَنَّهُannahuthat heكَانَkānawasمِنَminaofالْمُسَبِّحِينَl-musabiḥīnathose who glorify
  144. 144لَلَبِثَlalabithaCertainly he (would have) remainedفِيinبَطْنِهِbaṭnihiits bellyإِلَىilāuntilيَوْمِyawmithe Dayيُبْعَثُونَyub'ʿathūnathey are resurrected
  145. 145فَنَبَذْنَاهُfanabadhnāhuBut We cast himبِالْعَرَاءِbil-ʿarāionto the open shoreوَهُوَwahuwawhile heسَقِيمٌsaqīmun(was) ill
  146. 146وَأَنْبَتْنَاwa-anbatnāAnd We caused to growعَلَيْهِʿalayhiover himشَجَرَةًshajaratana plantمِنْminofيَقْطِينٍyaqṭīningourd
  147. 147وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُwa-arsalnāhuAnd We sent himإِلَىilātoمِائَةِmi-atia hundredأَلْفٍalfinthousandأَوْaworيَزِيدُونَyazīdūnamore
  148. 148فَءَامَنُواfaāmanūAnd they believedفَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْfamattaʿnāhumso We gave them enjoymentإِلَىilāforحِينٍḥīnina while
  149. 149فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْfa-is'taftihimThen ask themأَلِرَبِّكَalirabbikaDoes your Lordالْبَنَاتُl-banātu(have) daughtersوَلَهُمُwalahumuwhile for themالْبَنُونَl-banūna(are) sons
  150. 150أَمْamOrخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnādid We createالْمَلَائِكَةَl-malāikatathe Angelsإِنَاثًاināthanfemalesوَهُمْwahumwhile theyشَاهِدُونَshāhidūna(were) witnesses
  151. 151أَلَاalāNo doubtإِنَّهُمْinnahumindeed theyمِنْminofإِفْكِهِمْif'kihimtheir falsehoodلَيَقُولُونَlayaqūlūna[they] say
  152. 152وَلَدَwaladaAllah has begottenاللَّهُl-lahuAllah has begottenوَإِنَّهُمْwa-innahumand indeed, theyلَكَاذِبُونَlakādhibūnasurely (are) liars
  153. 153أَصْطَفَىaṣṭafāHas He chosenالْبَنَاتِl-banāti[the] daughtersعَلَىʿalāoverالْبَنِينَl-banīnasons
  154. 154مَاWhat is with youلَكُمْlakumWhat is with youكَيْفَkayfaHowتَحْكُمُونَtaḥkumūnayou judge
  155. 155أَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarūnayou pay heed
  156. 156أَمْamOrلَكُمْlakum(is) for youسُلْطَانٌsul'ṭānunan authorityمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  157. 157فَأْتُواfatūThen bringبِكِتَابِكُمْbikitābikumyour bookإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areصَادِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
  158. 158وَجَعَلُواwajaʿalūAnd they have madeبَيْنَهُbaynahubetween Himوَبَيْنَwabaynaand betweenالْجِنَّةِl-jinatithe jinnنَسَبًاnasabana relationshipوَلَقَدْwalaqadbut certainlyعَلِمَتِʿalimatiknowالْجِنَّةُl-jinatuthe jinnإِنَّهُمْinnahumthat theyلَمُحْضَرُونَlamuḥ'ḍarūna(will) surely be brought
  159. 159سُبْحَانَsub'ḥānaGlory beاللَّهِl-lahi(to) Allahعَمَّاʿammāabove whatيَصِفُونَyaṣifūnathey attribute
  160. 160إِلَّاillāExceptعِبَادَʿibāda(the) slavesاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahالْمُخْلَصِينَl-mukh'laṣīnathe chosen
  161. 161فَإِنَّكُمْfa-innakumSo indeed youوَمَاwamāand whatتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnayou worship
  162. 162مَاNotأَنْتُمْantumyouعَلَيْهِʿalayhifrom Himبِفَاتِنِينَbifātinīnacan tempt away (anyone)
  163. 163إِلَّاillāExceptمَنْmanwhoهُوَhuwaheصَالِṣāli(is) to burnالْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(in) the Hellfire
  164. 164وَمَاwamāAnd notمِنَّاminnāamong usإِلَّاillāexceptلَهُlahufor himمَقَامٌmaqāmun(is) a positionمَعْلُومٌmaʿlūmunknown
  165. 165وَإِنَّاwa-innāAnd indeed weلَنَحْنُlanaḥnusurely [we]الصَّافُّونَl-ṣāfūnastand in rows
  166. 166وَإِنَّاwa-innāAnd indeed weلَنَحْنُlanaḥnusurely [we]الْمُسَبِّحُونَl-musabiḥūnaglorify (Allah)
  167. 167وَإِنْwa-inAnd indeedكَانُواkānūthey used (to)لَيَقُولُونَlayaqūlūnasay
  168. 168لَوْlawIfأَنَّannathatعِنْدَنَاʿindanāwe hadذِكْرًاdhik'rana reminderمِنَminafromالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīnathe former (people)
  169. 169لَكُنَّاlakunnāCertainly we (would) have beenعِبَادَʿibādaslavesاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahالْمُخْلَصِينَl-mukh'laṣīnathe chosen
  170. 170فَكَفَرُواfakafarūBut they disbelievedبِهِbihiin itفَسَوْفَfasawfaso soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnathey will know
  171. 171وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyسَبَقَتْsabaqathas precededكَلِمَتُنَاkalimatunāOur Wordلِعِبَادِنَاliʿibādināfor Our slavesالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  172. 172إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed theyلَهُمُlahumusurely theyالْمَنْصُورُونَl-manṣūrūna(would be) the victorious
  173. 173وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedجُنْدَنَاjundanāOur hostلَهُمُlahumusurely theyالْغَالِبُونَl-ghālibūna(will be) those who overcome
  174. 174فَتَوَلَّfatawallaSo turn awayعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themحَتَّىḥattāforحِينٍḥīnina time
  175. 175وَأَبْصِرْهُمْwa-abṣir'humAnd see themفَسَوْفَfasawfaso soonيُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūnathey will see
  176. 176أَفَبِعَذَابِنَاafabiʿadhābināThen is (it) for Our punishmentيَسْتَعْجِلُونَyastaʿjilūnathey hasten
  177. 177فَإِذَاfa-idhāBut whenنَزَلَnazalait descendsبِسَاحَتِهِمْbisāḥatihimin their territoryفَسَاءَfasāathen evil (will be)صَبَاحُṣabāḥu(the) morningالْمُنْذَرِينَl-mundharīna(for) those who were warned
  178. 178وَتَوَلَّwatawallaSo turn awayعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themحَتَّىḥattāforحِينٍḥīnina time
  179. 179وَأَبْصِرْwa-abṣirAnd seeفَسَوْفَfasawfaso soonيُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūnathey will see
  180. 180سُبْحَانَsub'ḥānaGloryرَبِّكَrabbika(be to) your Lordرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordالْعِزَّةِl-ʿizati(of) Honorعَمَّاʿammāabove whatيَصِفُونَyaṣifūnathey attribute
  181. 181وَسَلَامٌwasalāmunAnd peace beعَلَىʿalāuponالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  182. 182وَالْحَمْدُwal-ḥamduAnd all praiseلِلَّهِlillahi(be) to Allahرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
