بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 36 — Yaseen

  1. 1يسٓya-seenYa Sin
  2. 2وَالْقُرْءَانِwal-qur'āniBy the Quranالْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmithe Wise
  3. 3إِنَّكَinnakaIndeed youلَمِنَlamina(are) amongالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  4. 4عَلَىʿalāOnصِرَاطٍṣirāṭina Pathمُسْتَقِيمٍmus'taqīminstraight
  5. 5تَنْزِيلَtanzīlaA revelationالْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi(of) the All-Mightyالرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmithe Most Merciful
  6. 6لِتُنْذِرَlitundhiraThat you may warnقَوْمًاqawmana peopleمَاnotأُنْذِرَundhirawere warnedءَابَاؤُهُمْābāuhumtheir forefathersفَهُمْfahumso theyغَافِلُونَghāfilūna(are) heedless
  7. 7لَقَدْlaqadCertainlyحَقَّḥaqqa(has) proved trueالْقَوْلُl-qawluthe wordعَلَىʿalāuponأَكْثَرِهِمْaktharihimmost of themفَهُمْfahumso theyلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
  8. 8إِنَّاinnāIndeedجَعَلْنَاjaʿalnā[We] have placedفِيonأَعْنَاقِهِمْaʿnāqihimtheir necksأَغْلَالًاaghlālaniron collarsفَهِيَfahiyaand theyإِلَىilā(are up) toالْأَذْقَانِl-adhqānithe chinsفَهُمْfahumso theyمُقْمَحُونَmuq'maḥūna(are with) heads aloft
  9. 9وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We have madeمِنْminbefore themبَيْنِbaynibefore themأَيْدِيهِمْaydīhimbefore themسَدًّاsaddana barrierوَمِنْwaminand behind themخَلْفِهِمْkhalfihimand behind themسَدًّاsaddana barrierفَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْfa-aghshaynāhumand We covered themفَهُمْfahumso theyلَا(do) notيُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūnasee
  10. 10وَسَوَاءٌwasawāonAnd it (is) sameعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْa-andhartahumwhether you warn themأَمْamorلَمْlam(do) notتُنْذِرْهُمْtundhir'humwarn themلَاnotيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnathey will believe
  11. 11إِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyتُنْذِرُtundhiruyou (can) warnمَنِmani(him) whoاتَّبَعَittabaʿafollowsالذِّكْرَl-dhik'rathe Reminderوَخَشِيَwakhashiyaand fearsالرَّحْمَنَl-raḥmānathe Most Graciousبِالْغَيْبِbil-ghaybiin the unseenفَبَشِّرْهُfabashir'huSo give him glad tidingsبِمَغْفِرَةٍbimaghfiratinof forgivenessوَأَجْرٍwa-ajrinand a rewardكَرِيمٍkarīminnoble
  12. 12إِنَّاinnāIndeedنَحْنُnaḥnuWeنُحْيِيnuḥ'yīgive lifeالْمَوْتَىl-mawtā(to) the deadوَنَكْتُبُwanaktubuand We recordمَاwhatقَدَّمُواqaddamūthey have sent beforeوَءَاثَارَهُمْwaāthārahumand their footprintsوَكُلَّwakullaand everyشَيْءٍshayinthingأَحْصَيْنَاهُaḥṣaynāhuWe have enumerated itفِيinإِمَامٍimāmina Registerمُبِينٍmubīninclear
  13. 13وَاضْرِبْwa-iḍ'ribAnd set forthلَهُمْlahumto themمَثَلًاmathalanan exampleأَصْحَابَaṣḥāba(of the) companionsالْقَرْيَةِl-qaryati(of) the cityإِذْidhwhenجَاءَهَاjāahācame to itالْمُرْسَلُونَl-mur'salūnathe Messengers
  14. 14إِذْidhWhenأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentإِلَيْهِمُilayhimuto themاثْنَيْنِith'naynitwo (Messengers)فَكَذَّبُوهُمَاfakadhabūhumābut they denied both of themفَعَزَّزْنَاfaʿazzaznāso We strengthened themبِثَالِثٍbithālithinwith a thirdفَقَالُواfaqālūand they saidإِنَّاinnāIndeed Weإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youمُرْسَلُونَmur'salūna(are) Messengers
  15. 15قَالُواqālūThey saidمَاNotأَنْتُمْantumyouإِلَّاillā(are) butبَشَرٌbasharunhuman beingsمِثْلُنَاmith'lunālike usوَمَاwamāand notأَنْزَلَanzalahas revealedالرَّحْمَنُl-raḥmānuthe Most GraciousمِنْminanyشَيْءٍshayinthingإِنْinNotأَنْتُمْantumyouإِلَّاillā(are) butتَكْذِبُونَtakdhibūnalying
  16. 16قَالُواqālūThey saidرَبُّنَاrabbunāOur Lordيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuknowsإِنَّاinnāthat weإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youلَمُرْسَلُونَlamur'salūna(are) surely Messengers
  17. 17وَمَاwamāAnd notعَلَيْنَاʿalaynā(is) on usإِلَّاillāexceptالْبَلَاغُl-balāghuthe conveyanceالْمُبِينُl-mubīnuclear
  18. 18قَالُواqālūThey saidإِنَّاinnāIndeedتَطَيَّرْنَاtaṭayyarnā[we] see an evil omenبِكُمْbikumfrom youلَئِنْla-inIfلَمْlamnotتَنْتَهُواtantahūyou desistلَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْlanarjumannakumsurely we will stone youوَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْwalayamassannakumand surely will touch youمِنَّاminnāfrom usعَذَابٌʿadhābuna punishmentأَلِيمٌalīmunpainful
  19. 19قَالُواqālūThey saidطَائِرُكُمْṭāirukumYour evil omenمَعَكُمْmaʿakum(be) with you!أَئِنْa-inIs it becauseذُكِّرْتُمْdhukkir'tumyou are admonishedبَلْbalNayأَنْتُمْantumyouقَوْمٌqawmun(are) a peopleمُسْرِفُونَmus'rifūnatransgressing
  20. 20وَجَاءَwajāaAnd cameمِنْminfromأَقْصَاaqṣā(the) farthest endالْمَدِينَةِl-madīnati(of) the cityرَجُلٌrajuluna manيَسْعَىyasʿārunningقَالَqālaHe saidيَاقَوْمِyāqawmiO my People!اتَّبِعُواittabiʿūFollowالْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnathe Messengers
  21. 21اتَّبِعُواittabiʿūFollowمَنْman(those) whoلَا(do) notيَسْءَلُكُمْyasalukumask (of) youأَجْرًاajranany paymentوَهُمْwahumand theyمُهْتَدُونَmuh'tadūna(are) rightly guided
  22. 22وَمَاwamāAnd whatلِيَliya(is) for meلَا(that) notأَعْبُدُaʿbuduI worshipالَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoفَطَرَنِيfaṭaranīcreated meوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Whomتُرْجَعُونَtur'jaʿūnayou will be returned
  23. 23ءَأَتَّخِذُa-attakhidhuShould I takeمِنْminbesides Himدُونِهِdūnihibesides HimءَالِهَةًālihatangodsإِنْinIfيُرِدْنِyurid'niintends for meالرَّحْمَنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Graciousبِضُرٍّbiḍurrinany harmلَاnotتُغْنِtugh'niwill availعَنِّيʿannī[from] meشَفَاعَتُهُمْshafāʿatuhumtheir intercessionشَيْئًاshayan(in) anythingوَلَاwalāand notيُنْقِذُونِyunqidhūnithey (can) save me
  24. 24إِنِّيinnīIndeed Iإِذًاidhanthenلَفِيlafīsurely would be inضَلَالٍḍalālinan errorمُبِينٍmubīninclear
  25. 25إِنِّيinnīIndeed Iءَامَنْتُāmantuhave believedبِرَبِّكُمْbirabbikumin your Lordفَاسْمَعُونِfa-is'maʿūniso listen to me
  26. 26قِيلَqīlaIt was saidادْخُلِud'khuliEnterالْجَنَّةَl-janataParadiseقَالَqālaHe saidيَالَيْتَyālaytaO would that!قَوْمِيqawmīMy peopleيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknew
  27. 27بِمَاbimāOf howغَفَرَghafarahas forgivenلِيmeرَبِّيrabbīmy Lordوَجَعَلَنِيwajaʿalanīand placed meمِنَminaamongالْمُكْرَمِينَl-muk'ramīnathe honored ones
  28. 28وَمَاwamāAnd notأَنْزَلْنَاanzalnāWe sent downعَلَىʿalāuponقَوْمِهِqawmihihis peopleمِنْminafter himبَعْدِهِbaʿdihiafter himمِنْminanyجُنْدٍjundinhostمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe heavenوَمَاwamāand notكُنَّاkunnāwere Weمُنْزِلِينَmunzilīna(to) send down
  29. 29إِنْinNotكَانَتْkānatit wasإِلَّاillābutصَيْحَةًṣayḥatana shoutوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatanoneفَإِذَاfa-idhāthen behold!هُمْhumTheyخَامِدُونَkhāmidūna(were) extinguished
  30. 30يَاحَسْرَةًyāḥasratanAlasعَلَىʿalāforالْعِبَادِl-ʿibādithe servantsمَاNotيَأْتِيهِمْyatīhimcame to themمِنْminanyرَسُولٍrasūlinMessengerإِلَّاillābutكَانُواkānūthey didبِهِbihimock at himيَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūnamock at him
  31. 31أَلَمْalamDo notيَرَوْاyarawthey seeكَمْkamhow manyأَهْلَكْنَاahlaknāWe destroyedقَبْلَهُمْqablahumbefore themمِنَminaofالْقُرُونِl-qurūnithe generationsأَنَّهُمْannahumThat theyإِلَيْهِمْilayhimto themلَاwill not returnيَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūnawill not return
  32. 32وَإِنْwa-inAnd surelyكُلٌّkullunallلَمَّاlammāthenجَمِيعٌjamīʿuntogetherلَدَيْنَاladaynābefore Usمُحْضَرُونَmuḥ'ḍarūna(will be) brought
  33. 33وَءَايَةٌwaāyatunAnd a Signلَهُمُlahumufor themالْأَرْضُl-arḍu(is) the earthالْمَيْتَةُl-maytatudeadأَحْيَيْنَاهَاaḥyaynāhāWe give it lifeوَأَخْرَجْنَاwa-akhrajnāand We bring forthمِنْهَاmin'hāfrom itحَبًّاḥabbangrainفَمِنْهُfamin'huand from itيَأْكُلُونَyakulūnathey eat
  34. 34وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We placedفِيهَاfīhāthereinجَنَّاتٍjannātingardensمِنْminofنَخِيلٍnakhīlindate-palmsوَأَعْنَابٍwa-aʿnābinand grapevinesوَفَجَّرْنَاwafajjarnāand We caused to gush forthفِيهَاfīhāin itمِنَminaofالْعُيُونِl-ʿuyūnithe springs
  35. 35لِيَأْكُلُواliyakulūThat they may eatمِنْminofثَمَرِهِthamarihiits fruitوَمَاwamāAnd notعَمِلَتْهُʿamilathumade itأَيْدِيهِمْaydīhimtheir handsأَفَلَاafalāSo will notيَشْكُرُونَyashkurūnathey be grateful
  36. 36سُبْحَانَsub'ḥānaGlory beالَّذِيalladhī(to) the One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedالْأَزْوَاجَl-azwāja(in) pairsكُلَّهَاkullahāallمِمَّاmimmāof whatتُنْبِتُtunbitugrowsالْأَرْضُl-arḍuthe earthوَمِنْwaminand ofأَنْفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselvesوَمِمَّاwamimmāand of whatلَاnotيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnathey know
  37. 37وَءَايَةٌwaāyatunAnd a Signلَهُمُlahumufor themاللَّيْلُal-laylu(is) the nightنَسْلَخُnaslakhuWe withdrawمِنْهُmin'hufrom itالنَّهَارَl-nahārathe dayفَإِذَاfa-idhāThen behold!هُمْhumTheyمُظْلِمُونَmuẓ'limūna(are) those in darkness
  38. 38وَالشَّمْسُwal-shamsuAnd the sunتَجْرِيtajrīrunsلِمُسْتَقَرٍّlimus'taqarrinto a term appointedلَهَاlahāfor itذَلِكَdhālikaThatتَقْدِيرُtaqdīru(is the) Decreeالْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi(of) the All-Mightyالْعَلِيمِl-ʿalīmithe All-Knowing
  39. 39وَالْقَمَرَwal-qamaraAnd the moonقَدَّرْنَاهُqaddarnāhuWe have ordained for itمَنَازِلَmanāzilaphasesحَتَّىḥattāuntilعَادَʿādait returnsكَالْعُرْجُونِkal-ʿur'jūnilike the date stalkالْقَدِيمِl-qadīmithe old
  40. 40لَاNotالشَّمْسُl-shamsuthe sunيَنْبَغِيyanbaghīis permittedلَهَاlahāfor itأَنْanthatتُدْرِكَtud'rikait overtakesالْقَمَرَl-qamarathe moonوَلَاwalāand notاللَّيْلُal-layluthe nightسَابِقُsābiqu(can) outstripالنَّهَارِl-nahārithe dayوَكُلٌّwakullunbut allفِيinفَلَكٍfalakinan orbitيَسْبَحُونَyasbaḥūnathey are floating
  41. 41وَءَايَةٌwaāyatunAnd a Signلَهُمْlahumfor themأَنَّاannā(is) thatحَمَلْنَاḥamalnāWe carriedذُرِّيَّتَهُمْdhurriyyatahumtheir offspringفِيinالْفُلْكِl-ful'kithe shipالْمَشْحُونِl-mashḥūniladen
  42. 42وَخَلَقْنَاwakhalaqnāAnd We createdلَهُمْlahumfor themمِنْminfromمِثْلِهِmith'lihi(the) likes of itمَاwhatيَرْكَبُونَyarkabūnathey ride
  43. 43وَإِنْwa-inAnd ifنَشَأْnashaWe willنُغْرِقْهُمْnugh'riq'humWe could drown themفَلَاfalāthen notصَرِيخَṣarīkha(would be) a responder to a cryلَهُمْlahumfor themوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyيُنْقَذُونَyunqadhūnawould be saved
  44. 44إِلَّاillāExceptرَحْمَةًraḥmatan(by) Mercyمِنَّاminnāfrom Usوَمَتَاعًاwamatāʿanand provisionإِلَىilāforحِينٍḥīnina time
  45. 45وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait is saidلَهُمُlahumuto themاتَّقُواittaqūFearمَاwhatبَيْنَbayna(is) before youأَيْدِيكُمْaydīkum(is) before youوَمَاwamāand whatخَلْفَكُمْkhalfakum(is) behind youلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتُرْحَمُونَtur'ḥamūnareceive mercy
  46. 46وَمَاwamāAnd notتَأْتِيهِمْtatīhimcomes to themمِنْminofءَايَةٍāyatina Signمِنْminfromءَايَاتِāyāti(the) Signsرَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lordإِلَّاillābutكَانُواkānūtheyعَنْهَاʿanhāfrom itمُعْرِضِينَmuʿ'riḍīnaturn away
  47. 47وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait is saidلَهُمْlahumto themأَنْفِقُواanfiqūSpendمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatرَزَقَكُمُrazaqakumu(has) provided youاللَّهُl-lahuAllahقَالَqālaSaidالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedأَنُطْعِمُanuṭ'ʿimuShould we feedمَنْmanwhomلَوْlawifيَشَاءُyashāuAllah willedاللَّهُl-lahuAllah willedأَطْعَمَهُaṭʿamahuHe would have fed himإِنْinNotأَنْتُمْantum(are) youإِلَّاillāexceptفِيinضَلَالٍḍalālinan errorمُبِينٍmubīninclear
  48. 48وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaAnd they sayمَتَىmatāWhen (is)هَذَاhādhāthisالْوَعْدُl-waʿdupromiseإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areصَادِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
  49. 49مَاNotيَنْظُرُونَyanẓurūnathey awaitإِلَّاillāexceptصَيْحَةًṣayḥatana shoutوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatanoneتَأْخُذُهُمْtakhudhuhumit will seize themوَهُمْwahumwhile theyيَخِصِّمُونَyakhiṣṣimūnaare disputing
  50. 50فَلَاfalāThen notيَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey will be ableتَوْصِيَةًtawṣiyatan(to) make a willوَلَاwalāand notإِلَىilātoأَهْلِهِمْahlihimtheir peopleيَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūnathey (can) return
  51. 51وَنُفِخَwanufikhaAnd will be blownفِي[in]الصُّورِl-ṣūrithe trumpetفَإِذَاfa-idhāand behold!هُمْhumTheyمِنَminafromالْأَجْدَاثِl-ajdāthithe gravesإِلَىilātoرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordيَنْسِلُونَyansilūna[they] will hasten
  52. 52قَالُواqālūThey [will] sayيَاوَيْلَنَاyāwaylanāO woe to us!مَنْmanWhoبَعَثَنَاbaʿathanāhas raised usمِنْminfromمَرْقَدِنَاmarqadināour sleeping placeهَذَاhādhāThis (is)مَاwhatوَعَدَwaʿada(had) promisedالرَّحْمَنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Graciousوَصَدَقَwaṣadaqaand told (the) truthالْمُرْسَلُونَl-mur'salūnathe Messengers
  53. 53إِنْinNotكَانَتْkānatit will beإِلَّاillābutصَيْحَةًṣayḥatana shoutوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatansingleفَإِذَاfa-idhāso behold!هُمْhumTheyجَمِيعٌjamīʿunallلَدَيْنَاladaynābefore Usمُحْضَرُونَmuḥ'ḍarūna(will be) brought
  54. 54فَالْيَوْمَfal-yawmaSo this Dayلَاnotتُظْلَمُtuẓ'lamuwill be wrongedنَفْسٌnafsuna soulشَيْئًاshayan(in) anythingوَلَاwalāand notتُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawnayou will be recompensedإِلَّاillāexceptمَا(for) whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
  55. 55إِنَّinnaIndeedأَصْحَابَaṣḥāba(the) companionsالْجَنَّةِl-janati(of) Paradiseالْيَوْمَl-yawmathis Dayفِي[in]شُغُلٍshughulinwill be occupiedفَاكِهُونَfākihūna(in) amusement
  56. 56هُمْhumTheyوَأَزْوَاجُهُمْwa-azwājuhumand their spousesفِيinظِلَالٍẓilālinshadesعَلَىʿalāonالْأَرَائِكِl-arāiki[the] couchesمُتَّكِئُونَmuttakiūnareclining
  57. 57لَهُمْlahumFor themفِيهَاfīhāthereinفَاكِهَةٌfākihatun(are) fruitsوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themمَا(is) whateverيَدَّعُونَyaddaʿūnathey call for
  58. 58سَلَامٌsalāmunPeaceقَوْلًاqawlanA wordمِنْminfromرَبٍّrabbina LordرَحِيمٍraḥīminMost Merciful
  59. 59وَامْتَازُواwa-im'tāzūBut stand apartالْيَوْمَl-yawmathis DayأَيُّهَاayyuhāO criminalsالْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnaO criminals
  60. 60أَلَمْalamDid notأَعْهَدْaʿhadI enjoinإِلَيْكُمْilaykumupon youيَابَنِيyābanīO Children of AdamءَادَمَādamaO Children of AdamأَنْanThatلَا(do) notتَعْبُدُواtaʿbudūworshipالشَّيْطَانَl-shayṭānathe Shaitaanإِنَّهُinnahuindeed, heلَكُمْlakum(is) for youعَدُوٌّʿaduwwunan enemyمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  61. 61وَأَنِwa-aniAnd thatاعْبُدُونِيuʿ'budūnīyou worship MeهَذَاhādhāThisصِرَاطٌṣirāṭun(is) a Pathمُسْتَقِيمٌmus'taqīmunstraight
  62. 62وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd indeedأَضَلَّaḍallahe led astrayمِنْكُمْminkumfrom youجِبِلًّاjibillana multitudeكَثِيرًاkathīrangreatأَفَلَمْafalamThen did notتَكُونُواtakūnūyouتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnause reason
  63. 63هَذِهِhādhihiThis (is)جَهَنَّمُjahannamu(the) Hellالَّتِيallatīwhichكُنْتُمْkuntumyou wereتُوعَدُونَtūʿadūnapromised
  64. 64اصْلَوْهَاiṣ'lawhāBurn thereinالْيَوْمَl-yawmathis Dayبِمَاbimābecauseكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَكْفُرُونَtakfurūnadisbelieve
  65. 65الْيَوْمَal-yawmaThis DayنَخْتِمُnakhtimuWe will sealعَلَىʿalā[on]أَفْوَاهِهِمْafwāhihimtheir mouthsوَتُكَلِّمُنَاwatukallimunāand will speak to Usأَيْدِيهِمْaydīhimtheir handsوَتَشْهَدُwatashhaduand will bear witnessأَرْجُلُهُمْarjuluhumtheir feetبِمَاbimāabout whatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَكْسِبُونَyaksibūnaearn
  66. 66وَلَوْwalawAnd ifنَشَاءُnashāuWe willedلَطَمَسْنَاlaṭamasnāWe (would have) surely obliteratedعَلَىʿalā[over]أَعْيُنِهِمْaʿyunihimtheir eyesفَاسْتَبَقُواfa-is'tabaqūthen they (would) raceالصِّرَاطَl-ṣirāṭa(to find) the pathفَأَنَّىfa-annāthen howيُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūna(could) they see
  67. 67وَلَوْwalawAnd ifنَشَاءُnashāuWe willedلَمَسَخْنَاهُمْlamasakhnāhumsurely We (would have) transformed themعَلَىʿalāinمَكَانَتِهِمْmakānatihimtheir placesفَمَاfamāthen notاسْتَطَاعُواis'taṭāʿūthey would have been ableمُضِيًّاmuḍiyyanto proceedوَلَاwalāand notيَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūnareturn
  68. 68وَمَنْwamanAnd (he) whomنُعَمِّرْهُnuʿammir'huWe grant him long lifeنُنَكِّسْهُnunakkis'huWe reverse himفِيinالْخَلْقِl-khalqithe creationأَفَلَاafalāThen will notيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnathey use intellect
  69. 69وَمَاwamāAnd notعَلَّمْنَاهُʿallamnāhuWe taught himالشِّعْرَl-shiʿ'ra[the] poetryوَمَاwamāand notيَنْبَغِيyanbaghīit is befittingلَهُlahufor himإِنْinNotهُوَhuwaitإِلَّاillā(is) exceptذِكْرٌdhik'runa Reminderوَقُرْءَانٌwaqur'ānunand a Quranمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  70. 70لِيُنْذِرَliyundhiraTo warnمَنْman(him) whoكَانَkānaisحَيًّاḥayyanaliveوَيَحِقَّwayaḥiqqaand may be proved trueالْقَوْلُl-qawluthe Wordعَلَىʿalāagainstالْكَافِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelievers
  71. 71أَوَلَمْawalamDo notيَرَوْاyarawthey seeأَنَّاannāthat Weخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā[We] createdلَهُمْlahumfor themمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatعَمِلَتْʿamilathave madeأَيْدِينَاaydīnāOur handsأَنْعَامًاanʿāmancattleفَهُمْfahumthen theyلَهَاlahā[for them]مَالِكُونَmālikūna(are the) owners
  72. 72وَذَلَّلْنَاهَاwadhallalnāhāAnd We have tamed themلَهُمْlahumfor themفَمِنْهَاfamin'hāso some of themرَكُوبُهُمْrakūbuhumthey ride themوَمِنْهَاwamin'hāand some of themيَأْكُلُونَyakulūnathey eat
  73. 73وَلَهُمْwalahumAnd for themفِيهَاfīhāthereinمَنَافِعُmanāfiʿu(are) benefitsوَمَشَارِبُwamashāribuand drinksأَفَلَاafalāso (will) notيَشْكُرُونَyashkurūnathey give thanks
  74. 74وَاتَّخَذُواwa-ittakhadhūBut they have takenمِنْminbesidesدُونِdūnibesidesاللَّهِl-lahiAllahءَالِهَةًālihatangodsلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumthat they mayيُنْصَرُونَyunṣarūnabe helped
  75. 75لَاNotيَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey are ableنَصْرَهُمْnaṣrahumto help themوَهُمْwahumbut theyلَهُمْlahumfor themجُنْدٌjundun(are) host(s)مُحْضَرُونَmuḥ'ḍarūna(who will) be brought
  76. 76فَلَاfalāSo (let) notيَحْزُنْكَyaḥzunkagrieve youقَوْلُهُمْqawluhumtheir speechإِنَّاinnāIndeed Weنَعْلَمُnaʿlamu[We] knowمَاwhatيُسِرُّونَyusirrūnathey concealوَمَاwamāand whatيُعْلِنُونَyuʿ'linūnathey declare
  77. 77أَوَلَمْawalamDoes notيَرَyaraseeالْإِنْسَانُl-insānu[the] manأَنَّاannāthat Weخَلَقْنَاهُkhalaqnāhu[We] created himمِنْminfromنُطْفَةٍnuṭ'fatina sperm-dropفَإِذَاfa-idhāThen behold!هُوَhuwaHeخَصِيمٌkhaṣīmun(is) an opponentمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
  78. 78وَضَرَبَwaḍarabaAnd he sets forthلَنَاlanāfor Usمَثَلًاmathalanan exampleوَنَسِيَwanasiyaand forgetsخَلْقَهُkhalqahuhis (own) creationقَالَqālaHe saysمَنْmanWhoيُحْيِيyuḥ'yīwill give lifeالْعِظَامَl-ʿiẓāma(to) the bonesوَهِيَwahiyawhile theyرَمِيمٌramīmun(are) decomposed
  79. 79قُلْqulSayيُحْيِيهَاyuḥ'yīhāHe will give them lifeالَّذِيalladhīWhoأَنْشَأَهَاansha-ahāproduced themأَوَّلَawwala(the) firstمَرَّةٍmarratintimeوَهُوَwahuwaand Heبِكُلِّbikulli(is) of everyخَلْقٍkhalqincreationعَلِيمٌʿalīmunAll-Knower
  80. 80الَّذِيalladhīThe One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeلَكُمْlakumfor youمِنَminafromالشَّجَرِl-shajarithe treeالْأَخْضَرِl-akhḍari[the] greenنَارًاnāranfireفَإِذَاfa-idhāand behold!أَنْتُمْantumYouمِنْهُmin'hufrom itتُوقِدُونَtūqidūnaignite
  81. 81أَوَلَيْسَawalaysaIs it notالَّذِيalladhī(He) Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthبِقَادِرٍbiqādirinAbleعَلَىʿalātoأَنْan[that]يَخْلُقَyakhluqacreateمِثْلَهُمْmith'lahum(the) like of themبَلَىbalāYes indeed!وَهُوَwahuwaand Heالْخَلَّاقُl-khalāqu(is) the Supreme Creatorالْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmuthe All-Knower
  82. 82إِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyأَمْرُهُamruhuHis CommandإِذَاidhāwhenأَرَادَarādaHe intendsشَيْئًاshayana thingأَنْanthatيَقُولَyaqūlaHe saysلَهُlahuto itكُنْkunBeفَيَكُونُfayakūnuand it is
  83. 83فَسُبْحَانَfasub'ḥānaSo glorified beالَّذِيalladhī(He) Whoبِيَدِهِbiyadihiin Whose handمَلَكُوتُmalakūtuis (the) dominionكُلِّkulli(of) allشَيْءٍshayinthingsوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Himتُرْجَعُونَtur'jaʿūnayou will be returned
