Surah 10 — Yunus

1. 1الٓرalif-lam-raAlif Lam Raتِلْكَtil'kaTheseءَايَاتُāyātu(are the) versesالْكِتَابِl-kitābi(of) the Bookالْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmithe wise
2. 2أَكَانَakānaIs itلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor the mankindعَجَبًاʿajabana wonderأَنْanthatأَوْحَيْنَاawḥaynāWe revealedإِلَىilātoرَجُلٍrajulina manمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom (among) themأَنْanthatأَنْذِرِandhiriWarnالنَّاسَl-nāsathe mankindوَبَشِّرِwabashiriand give glad tidingsالَّذِينَalladhīna(to) those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveأَنَّannathatلَهُمْlahumfor themقَدَمَqadama(will be) (a respectable) positionصِدْقٍṣid'qina respectable (position)عِنْدَʿindanearرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir LordقَالَqālaSaidالْكَافِرُونَl-kāfirūnathe disbelieversإِنَّinnaIndeedهَذَاhādhāthisلَسَاحِرٌlasāḥirun(is) surely a magicianمُبِينٌmubīnunobvious
3. 3إِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكُمُrabbakumuyour Lordاللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahالَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthفِيfīinسِتَّةِsittatisixأَيَّامٍayyāminperiodsثُمَّthummathenاسْتَوَىis'tawāHe establishedعَلَىʿalāonالْعَرْشِl-ʿarshithe Throneيُدَبِّرُyudabbirudisposingالْأَمْرَl-amrathe affairsمَاmāNotمِنْmin(is) any intercessorشَفِيعٍshafīʿin(is) any intercessorإِلَّاillāexceptمِنْminafterبَعْدِbaʿdiafterإِذْنِهِidh'nihiHis permissionذَلِكُمُdhālikumuThatاللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْrabbukumyour Lordفَاعْبُدُوهُfa-uʿ'budūhuso worship HimأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarūnayou remember
4. 4إِلَيْهِilayhiTo Himمَرْجِعُكُمْmarjiʿukum(will be) your returnجَمِيعًاjamīʿan[all]وَعْدَwaʿdaPromiseاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahحَقًّاḥaqqan(is) trueإِنَّهُinnahuIndeed Heيَبْدَؤُاyabda-uoriginatesالْخَلْقَl-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُyuʿīduhuHe repeats itلِيَجْزِيَliyajziyathat He may rewardالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedوَعَمِلُواwaʿamilūand didالصَّالِحَاتِl-ṣāliḥātithe good deedsبِالْقِسْطِbil-qis'ṭiin justiceوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaBut those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedلَهُمْlahumfor themشَرَابٌsharābun(will be) a drinkمِنْminofحَمِيمٍḥamīminboiling fluidsوَعَذَابٌwaʿadhābunand a punishmentأَلِيمٌalīmunpainfulبِمَاbimābecauseكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnadisbelieve
5. 5هُوَhuwaHeالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeالشَّمْسَl-shamsathe sunضِيَاءًḍiyāana shining lightوَالْقَمَرَwal-qamaraand the moonنُورًاnūrana reflected lightوَقَدَّرَهُwaqaddarahuand determined for itمَنَازِلَmanāzilaphasesلِتَعْلَمُواlitaʿlamūthat you may knowعَدَدَʿadada(the) numberالسِّنِينَl-sinīna(of) the yearsوَالْحِسَابَwal-ḥisābaand the count (of time)مَاmāNotخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedاللَّهُl-lahuAllahذَلِكَdhālikathatإِلَّاillāexceptبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin truthيُفَصِّلُyufaṣṣiluHe explainsالْءَايَاتِl-āyātithe Signsلِقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna(who) know
6. 6إِنَّinnaIndeedفِيfīinاخْتِلَافِikh'tilāfi(the) alternationاللَّيْلِal-layli(of) the nightوَالنَّهَارِwal-nahāriand the dayوَمَاwamāand whatخَلَقَkhalaqa(has been) createdاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahفِيfīinالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthلَءَايَاتٍlaāyātin(are) Signsلِقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَتَّقُونَyattaqūnawho are God conscious
7. 7إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpectلِقَاءَنَاliqāanāthe meeting with Usوَرَضُواwaraḍūand are pleasedبِالْحَيَوةِbil-ḥayatiwith the lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَاطْمَأَنُّواwa-iṭ'ma-annūand feel satisfiedبِهَاbihāwith itوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand thoseهُمْhumtheyعَنْʿan(are) ofءَايَاتِنَاāyātināOur Signsغَافِلُونَghāfilūnaheedless
8. 8أُولَئِكَulāikaThoseمَأْوَاهُمُmawāhumutheir abodeالنَّارُl-nāru(will be) the Fireبِمَاbimāfor whatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَكْسِبُونَyaksibūnaearn
9. 9إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedوَعَمِلُواwaʿamilūand didالصَّالِحَاتِl-ṣāliḥātigood deedsيَهْدِيهِمْyahdīhim(will) guide themرَبُّهُمْrabbuhumtheir Lordبِإِيمَانِهِمْbiīmānihimby their faithتَجْرِيtajrīWill flowمِنْminfromتَحْتِهِمُtaḥtihimuunderneath themالْأَنْهَارُl-anhāruthe riversفِيfīinجَنَّاتِjannātiGardensالنَّعِيمِl-naʿīmi(of) Delight
10. 10دَعْوَاهُمْdaʿwāhumTheir prayerفِيهَاfīhāthereinسُبْحَانَكَsub'ḥānaka(will be) Glory be to Youاللَّهُمَّl-lahumaO Allah!وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْwataḥiyyatuhumAnd their greetingفِيهَاfīhātherein (will be)سَلَامٌsalāmunPeaceوَءَاخِرُwaākhiruAnd the lastدَعْوَاهُمْdaʿwāhum(of) their callأَنِani(will be) [that]الْحَمْدُl-ḥamduAll the Praise beلِلَّهِlillahito AllahرَبِّrabbiLordالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
11. 11وَلَوْwalawAnd ifيُعَجِّلُyuʿajjiluhastensاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor the mankindالشَّرَّl-sharathe evilاسْتِعْجَالَهُمْis'tiʿ'jālahum(as) He hastens for themبِالْخَيْرِbil-khayrithe goodلَقُضِيَlaquḍiyasurely, would have been decreedإِلَيْهِمْilayhimfor themأَجَلُهُمْajaluhumtheir termفَنَذَرُfanadharuBut We leaveالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpectلِقَاءَنَاliqāanāthe meeting with Usفِيfīinطُغْيَانِهِمْṭugh'yānihimtheir transgressionيَعْمَهُونَyaʿmahūnawandering blindly
12. 12وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenمَسَّmassatouchesالْإِنْسَانَl-insānathe manالضُّرُّl-ḍuruthe afflictionدَعَانَاdaʿānāhe calls Usلِجَنْبِهِlijanbihi(lying) on his sideأَوْaworقَاعِدًاqāʿidansittingأَوْaworقَائِمًاqāimanstandingفَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenكَشَفْنَاkashafnāWe removeعَنْهُʿanhufrom himضُرَّهُḍurrahuhis afflictionمَرَّmarrahe passes onكَأَنْka-anas if heلَمْlam(had) notيَدْعُنَاyadʿunācalled Usإِلَىilāforضُرٍّḍurrin(the) afflictionمَسَّهُmassahu(that) touched himكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusزُيِّنَzuyyina(it) is made fair seemingلِلْمُسْرِفِينَlil'mus'rifīnato the extravagantمَاmāwhatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnado
13. 13وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyأَهْلَكْنَاahlaknāWe destroyedالْقُرُونَl-qurūnathe generationsمِنْminbefore youقَبْلِكُمْqablikumbefore youلَمَّاlammāwhenظَلَمُواẓalamūthey wrongedوَجَاءَتْهُمْwajāathumand came to themرُسُلُهُمْrusuluhumtheir Messengersبِالْبَيِّنَاتِbil-bayinātiwith clear proofsوَمَاwamābut notكَانُواkānūthey wereلِيُؤْمِنُواliyu'minūto believeكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusنَجْزِيnajzīWe recompenseالْقَوْمَl-qawmathe peopleالْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna(who are) criminals
14. 14ثُمَّthummaThenجَعَلْنَاكُمْjaʿalnākumWe made youخَلَائِفَkhalāifasuccessorsفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthمِنْminafter themبَعْدِهِمْbaʿdihimafter themلِنَنْظُرَlinanẓuraso that We may seeكَيْفَkayfahowتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do
15. 15وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenتُتْلَىtut'lāare recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَاتُنَاāyātunāOur Versesبَيِّنَاتٍbayyinātin(as) clear proofsقَالَqālasaidالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnahopeلِقَاءَنَاliqāanā(for the) meeting (with) Usائْتِi'tiBring usبِقُرْءَانٍbiqur'ānina Quranغَيْرِghayriother (than)هَذَاhādhāthisأَوْaworبَدِّلْهُbaddil'huchange itقُلْqulSayمَاmāNotيَكُونُyakūnu(it) isلِيlīfor meأَنْanthatأُبَدِّلَهُubaddilahuI change itمِنْminofتِلْقَائِtil'qāimy own accordنَفْسِيnafsīmy own accordإِنْinNotأَتَّبِعُattabiʿuI followإِلَّاillāexceptمَاmāwhatيُوحَىyūḥāis revealedإِلَيَّilayyato meإِنِّيinnīIndeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearإِنْinifعَصَيْتُʿaṣaytuI were to disobeyرَبِّيrabbīmy Lordعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentيَوْمٍyawmin(of) a DayعَظِيمٍʿaẓīminGreat
16. 16قُلْqulSayلَوْlawIfشَاءَshāa(had) willedاللَّهُl-lahuAllahمَاmānotتَلَوْتُهُtalawtuhuI (would) have recited itعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumto youوَلَاwalāand notأَدْرَاكُمْadrākumHe (would) have made it known to youبِهِbihiHe (would) have made it known to youفَقَدْfaqadVerilyلَبِثْتُlabith'tuI have stayedفِيكُمْfīkumamong youعُمُرًاʿumurana lifetimeمِنْminbefore itقَبْلِهِqablihibefore itأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnayou use reason
17. 17فَمَنْfamanSo whoأَظْلَمُaẓlamu(is) more wrongمِمَّنِmimmanithan he whoافْتَرَىif'tarāinventsعَلَىʿalāagainstاللَّهِl-lahiAllahكَذِبًاkadhibana lieأَوْaworكَذَّبَkadhabadeniesبِءَايَاتِهِbiāyātihiHis SignsإِنَّهُinnahuIndeedلَاlānotيُفْلِحُyuf'liḥuwill succeedالْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnathe criminals
18. 18وَيَعْبُدُونَwayaʿbudūnaAnd they worshipمِنْminfromدُونِdūniother thanاللَّهِl-lahiAllahمَاmāthat (which)لَاlā(does) notيَضُرُّهُمْyaḍurruhumharm themوَلَاwalāand notيَنْفَعُهُمْyanfaʿuhumbenefit themوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they sayهَؤُلَاءِhāulāiTheseشُفَعَاؤُنَاshufaʿāunā(are) our intercessorsعِنْدَʿindawithاللَّهِl-lahiAllahقُلْqulSayأَتُنَبِّئُونَatunabbiūnaDo you informاللَّهَl-lahaAllahبِمَاbimāof whatلَاlānotيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuhe knowsفِيfīinالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَلَاwalāand notفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthسُبْحَانَهُsub'ḥānahuGlorified is Heوَتَعَالَىwataʿālāand Exaltedعَمَّاʿammāabove whatيُشْرِكُونَyush'rikūnathey associate (with Him)
19. 19وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasالنَّاسُl-nāsuthe mankindإِلَّاillābutأُمَّةًummatana communityوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatanoneفَاخْتَلَفُواfa-ikh'talafūthen they differedوَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd had (it) not beenكَلِمَةٌkalimatuna wordسَبَقَتْsabaqat(that) precededمِنْminfromرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordلَقُضِيَlaquḍiyasurely, it (would) have been judgedبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themفِيمَاfīmāconcerning whatفِيهِfīhi[therein]يَخْتَلِفُونَyakhtalifūnathey differ
20. 20وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaAnd they sayلَوْلَاlawlāWhy notأُنْزِلَunzilais sent downعَلَيْهِʿalayhito himءَايَةٌāyatuna Signمِنْminfromرَبِّهِrabbihihis LordفَقُلْfaqulSo sayإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyالْغَيْبُl-ghaybuthe unseenلِلَّهِlillahi(is) for Allahفَانْتَظِرُواfa-intaẓirūso waitإِنِّيinnīindeed I amمَعَكُمْmaʿakumwith youمِنَminaamongالْمُنْتَظِرِينَl-muntaẓirīnathe ones who wait
21. 21وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenأَذَقْنَاadhaqnāWe let [the] mankind tasteالنَّاسَl-nāsaWe let [the] mankind tasteرَحْمَةًraḥmatanmercyمِنْminafterبَعْدِbaʿdiafterضَرَّاءَḍarrāaadversityمَسَّتْهُمْmassathumhas touched themإِذَاidhābeholdلَهُمْlahumThey haveمَكْرٌmakruna plotفِيfīagainstءَايَاتِنَاāyātināOur VersesقُلِquliSayاللَّهُl-lahuAllahأَسْرَعُasraʿu(is) more swiftمَكْرًاmakran(in) planningإِنَّinnaIndeedرُسُلَنَاrusulanāOur Messengersيَكْتُبُونَyaktubūnawrite downمَاmāwhatتَمْكُرُونَtamkurūnayou plot
22. 22هُوَhuwaHeالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoيُسَيِّرُكُمْyusayyirukumenables you to travelفِيfīinالْبَرِّl-barithe landوَالْبَحْرِwal-baḥriand the seaحَتَّىḥattāuntilإِذَاidhāwhenكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areفِيfīinالْفُلْكِl-ful'kithe shipsوَجَرَيْنَwajaraynaand they sailبِهِمْbihimwith themبِرِيحٍbirīḥinwith a windطَيِّبَةٍṭayyibatingoodوَفَرِحُواwafariḥūand they rejoiceبِهَاbihāthereinجَاءَتْهَاjāathācomes to itرِيحٌrīḥuna windعَاصِفٌʿāṣifunstormyوَجَاءَهُمُwajāahumuand comes to themالْمَوْجُl-mawjuthe wavesمِنْminfromكُلِّkullieveryمَكَانٍmakāninplaceوَظَنُّواwaẓannūand they assumeأَنَّهُمْannahumthat theyأُحِيطَuḥīṭaare surroundedبِهِمْbihimwith themدَعَوُاdaʿawūThey callاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمُخْلِصِينَmukh'liṣīnasincerelyلَهُlahuto Himالدِّينَl-dīna(in) the religionلَئِنْla-in(saying) IfأَنْجَيْتَنَاanjaytanāYou save usمِنْminfromهَذِهِhādhihithisلَنَكُونَنَّlanakūnannasurely we will beمِنَminaamongالشَّاكِرِينَl-shākirīnathe thankful
23. 23فَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenأَنْجَاهُمْanjāhumHe saved themإِذَاidhābeholdهُمْhumTheyيَبْغُونَyabghūnarebelفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutالْحَقِّl-ḥaqi[the] rightيَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO mankindالنَّاسُl-nāsuO mankindإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyبَغْيُكُمْbaghyukumyour rebellionعَلَىʿalā(is) againstأَنْفُسِكُمْanfusikumyourselvesمَتَاعَmatāʿa(the) enjoymentالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayati(of) the lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldثُمَّthummaThenإِلَيْنَاilaynāto Usمَرْجِعُكُمْmarjiʿukum(is) your returnفَنُنَبِّئُكُمْfanunabbi-ukumand We will inform youبِمَاbimāof whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
24. 24إِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyمَثَلُmathalu(the) exampleالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayati(of) the lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldكَمَاءٍkamāin(is) like (the) waterأَنْزَلْنَاهُanzalnāhuwhich We sent downمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe skyفَاخْتَلَطَfa-ikh'talaṭaso absorbsبِهِbihi[with] itنَبَاتُnabātu(the) plantsالْأَرْضِl-arḍi(of) the earthمِمَّاmimmāfrom whichيَأْكُلُyakulueatالنَّاسُl-nāsuthe menوَالْأَنْعَامُwal-anʿāmuand the cattleحَتَّىḥattāuntilإِذَاidhāwhenأَخَذَتِakhadhatitakesالْأَرْضُl-arḍuthe earthزُخْرُفَهَاzukh'rufahāits adornmentوَازَّيَّنَتْwa-izzayyanatand is beautifiedوَظَنَّwaẓannaand thinkأَهْلُهَاahluhāits peopleأَنَّهُمْannahumthat theyقَادِرُونَqādirūnahave the powerعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāover itأَتَاهَاatāhācomes (to) itأَمْرُنَاamrunāOur commandلَيْلًاlaylan(by) nightأَوْaworنَهَارًاnahāran(by) dayفَجَعَلْنَاهَاfajaʿalnāhāand We make itحَصِيدًاḥaṣīdana harvest clean-mownكَأَنْka-anas ifلَمْlamnotتَغْنَtaghnait had flourishedبِالْأَمْسِbil-amsiyesterdayكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusنُفَصِّلُnufaṣṣiluWe explainالْءَايَاتِl-āyātithe Signsلِقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَyatafakkarūnawho reflect
25. 25وَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahيَدْعُواyadʿūcallsإِلَىilātoدَارِdāri(the) Homeالسَّلَامِl-salāmi(of) the Peaceوَيَهْدِيwayahdīand guidesمَنْmanwhomيَشَاءُyashāuHe willsإِلَىilātoصِرَاطٍṣirāṭin(the) straight pathمُسْتَقِيمٍmus'taqīmin(the) straight path
26. 26لِلَّذِينَlilladhīnaFor those whoأَحْسَنُواaḥsanūdo goodالْحُسْنَىl-ḥus'nā(is) the bestوَزِيَادَةٌwaziyādatunand moreوَلَاwalāAnd notيَرْهَقُyarhaqu(will) coverوُجُوهَهُمْwujūhahumtheir facesقَتَرٌqatarundustوَلَاwalāand notذِلَّةٌdhillatunhumiliationأُولَئِكَulāikaThoseأَصْحَابُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsالْجَنَّةِl-janati(of) Paradiseهُمْhumtheyفِيهَاfīhāin itخَالِدُونَkhālidūna(will) abide forever
27. 27وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoكَسَبُواkasabūearnedالسَّيِّئَاتِl-sayiātithe evil deedsجَزَاءُjazāu(the) recompenseسَيِّئَةٍsayyi-atin(of) an evil deedبِمِثْلِهَاbimith'lihā(is) like itوَتَرْهَقُهُمْwatarhaquhumand (will) cover themذِلَّةٌdhillatunhumiliationمَاmāThey will not haveلَهُمْlahumThey will not haveمِنَminafromاللَّهِl-lahiAllahمِنْminanyعَاصِمٍʿāṣimindefenderكَأَنَّمَاka-annamāAs ifأُغْشِيَتْugh'shiyathad been coveredوُجُوهُهُمْwujūhuhumtheir facesقِطَعًاqiṭaʿan(with) piecesمِنَminafromاللَّيْلِal-laylithe darkness (of) nightمُظْلِمًاmuẓ'limanthe darkness (of) nightأُولَئِكَulāikaThoseأَصْحَابُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsالنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fireهُمْhumtheyفِيهَاfīhāin itخَالِدُونَkhālidūna(will) abide forever
28. 28وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) DayنَحْشُرُهُمْnaḥshuruhumWe will gather themجَمِيعًاjamīʿanall togetherثُمَّthummathenنَقُولُnaqūluWe will sayلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoأَشْرَكُواashrakūassociate partners (with Allah)مَكَانَكُمْmakānakum(Remain in) your placeأَنْتُمْantumyouوَشُرَكَاؤُكُمْwashurakāukumand your partnersفَزَيَّلْنَاfazayyalnāThen We will separateبَيْنَهُمْbaynahum[between] themوَقَالَwaqālaand (will) sayشُرَكَاؤُهُمْshurakāuhumtheir partnersمَاmāNotكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)إِيَّانَاiyyānāworship usتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnaworship us
29. 29فَكَفَىfakafāSo sufficientبِاللَّهِbil-lahi(is) Allahشَهِيدًاshahīdan(as) a witnessبَيْنَنَاbaynanābetween usوَبَيْنَكُمْwabaynakumand between youإِنْinthatكُنَّاkunnāwe wereعَنْʿanofعِبَادَتِكُمْʿibādatikumyour worshipلَغَافِلِينَlaghāfilīnacertainly unaware
30. 30هُنَالِكَhunālikaThereتَبْلُواtablūwill be put to trialكُلُّkullueveryنَفْسٍnafsinsoulمَاmā(for) whatأَسْلَفَتْaslafatit did previouslyوَرُدُّواwaruddūand they will be returnedإِلَىilātoاللَّهِl-lahiAllahمَوْلَاهُمُmawlāhumutheir Lordالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe trueوَضَلَّwaḍallaand will be lostعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themمَاmāwhatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)يَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnainvent
31. 31قُلْqulSayمَنْmanWhoيَرْزُقُكُمْyarzuqukumprovides for youمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe skyوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthأَمَّنْammanOr whoيَمْلِكُyamlikucontrolsالسَّمْعَl-samʿathe hearingوَالْأَبْصَارَwal-abṣāraand the sightوَمَنْwamanAnd whoيُخْرِجُyukh'rijubrings outالْحَيَّl-ḥayathe livingمِنَminafromالْمَيِّتِl-mayitithe deadوَيُخْرِجُwayukh'rijuand brings forthالْمَيِّتَl-mayitathe deadمِنَminafromالْحَيِّl-ḥayithe livingوَمَنْwamanAnd whoيُدَبِّرُyudabbirudisposesالْأَمْرَl-amrathe affairsفَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqūlūnaThen they will sayاللَّهُl-lahuAllahفَقُلْfaqulThen sayأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَتَّقُونَtattaqūnayou fear (Him)
32. 32فَذَلِكُمُfadhālikumuFor thatاللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمُrabbukumuyour Lordالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe trueفَمَاذَاfamādhāSo what (can be)بَعْدَbaʿdaafterالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truthإِلَّاillāexceptالضَّلَالُl-ḍalāluthe errorفَأَنَّىfa-annāSo howتُصْرَفُونَtuṣ'rafūna(are) you turned away
33. 33كَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusحَقَّتْḥaqqat(is) proved trueكَلِمَتُkalimatu(the) Wordرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordعَلَىʿalāuponالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoفَسَقُواfasaqūdefiantly disobeyedأَنَّهُمْannahumthat theyلَاlā(will) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
34. 34قُلْqulSayهَلْhalIs (there)مِنْminofشُرَكَائِكُمْshurakāikumyour partnersمَنْman(any) whoيَبْدَؤُاyabda-uoriginatesالْخَلْقَl-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُyuʿīduhurepeats itقُلِquliSayاللَّهُl-lahuAllahيَبْدَؤُاyabda-uoriginatesالْخَلْقَl-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُyuʿīduhurepeats itفَأَنَّىfa-annāSo howتُؤْفَكُونَtu'fakūnayou are deluded
35. 35قُلْqulSayهَلْhalIs (there)مِنْminofشُرَكَائِكُمْshurakāikumyour partnersمَنْman(any) whoيَهْدِيyahdīguidesإِلَىilātoالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truthقُلِquliSayاللَّهُl-lahuAllahيَهْدِيyahdīguidesلِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqito the truthأَفَمَنْafamanIs then (he) whoيَهْدِيyahdīguidesإِلَىilātoالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truthأَحَقُّaḥaqqumore worthyأَنْanthatيُتَّبَعَyuttabaʿahe should be followedأَمَّنْammanor (he) whoلَاlā(does) notيَهِدِّيyahiddīguideإِلَّاillāunlessأَنْan[that]يُهْدَىyuh'dāhe is guidedفَمَاfamāThen whatلَكُمْlakum(is) for youكَيْفَkayfahowتَحْكُمُونَtaḥkumūnayou judge
36. 36وَمَاwamāAnd notيَتَّبِعُyattabiʿufollowأَكْثَرُهُمْaktharuhummost of themإِلَّاillāexceptظَنًّاẓannanassumptionإِنَّinnaIndeedالظَّنَّl-ẓanathe assumptionلَاlā(does) notيُغْنِيyugh'nīavailمِنَminaagainstالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truthشَيْئًاshayananythingإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerبِمَاbimāof whatيَفْعَلُونَyafʿalūnathey do
37. 37وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisهَذَاhādhāthisالْقُرْءَانُl-qur'ānuthe Quranأَنْanthatيُفْتَرَىyuf'tarā(it could be) producedمِنْminbyدُونِdūniother than Allahاللَّهِl-lahiother than Allahوَلَكِنْwalākinbutتَصْدِيقَtaṣdīqa(it is) a confirmationالَّذِيalladhī(of that) whichبَيْنَbayna(was) before itيَدَيْهِyadayhi(was) before itوَتَفْصِيلَwatafṣīlaand a detailed explanationالْكِتَابِl-kitābi(of) the Bookلَاlā(there is) noرَيْبَraybadoubtفِيهِfīhiin itمِنْminfromرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordالْعَالَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
38. 38أَمْamOrيَقُولُونَyaqūlūna(do) they sayافْتَرَاهُif'tarāhuHe has invented itقُلْqulSayفَأْتُواfatūThen bringبِسُورَةٍbisūratina Surahمِثْلِهِmith'lihilike itوَادْعُواwa-id'ʿūand callمَنِmaniwhoeverاسْتَطَعْتُمْis'taṭaʿtumyou canمِنْminbesides Allahدُونِdūnibesides Allahاللَّهِl-lahibesides Allahإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areصَادِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
39. 39بَلْbalNayكَذَّبُواkadhabūthey deniedبِمَاbimāwhatلَمْlamnotيُحِيطُواyuḥīṭūthey could encompassبِعِلْمِهِbiʿil'mihi(of) its knowledgeوَلَمَّاwalammāand notيَأْتِهِمْyatihimhas come (to) themتَأْوِيلُهُtawīluhuits interpretationكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusكَذَّبَkadhabadeniedالَّذِينَalladhīnathoseمِنْminbefore themقَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore themفَانْظُرْfa-unẓurthen seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَاقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endالظَّالِمِينَl-ẓālimīna(of) the wrongdoers
40. 40وَمِنْهُمْwamin'humAnd of themمَنْman(is one) whoيُؤْمِنُyu'minubelievesبِهِbihiin itوَمِنْهُمْwamin'humand of themمَنْman(is one) whoلَاlā(does) notيُؤْمِنُyu'minubelieveبِهِbihiin itوَرَبُّكَwarabbukaAnd your Lordأَعْلَمُaʿlamu(is) All-Knowerبِالْمُفْسِدِينَbil-muf'sidīnaof the corrupters
41. 41وَإِنْwa-inAnd ifكَذَّبُوكَkadhabūkathey deny youفَقُلْfaqulthen sayلِيlīFor meعَمَلِيʿamalī(are) my deedsوَلَكُمْwalakumand for youعَمَلُكُمْʿamalukum(are) your deedsأَنْتُمْantumYouبَرِيءُونَbarīūna(are) disassociatedمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatأَعْمَلُaʿmaluI doوَأَنَاwa-anāand I amبَرِيءٌbarīondisassociatedمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do
42. 42وَمِنْهُمْwamin'humAnd among themمَنْman(are some) whoيَسْتَمِعُونَyastamiʿūnalistenإِلَيْكَilaykato youأَفَأَنْتَafa-antaBut (can) youتُسْمِعُtus'miʿucause the deaf to hearالصُّمَّl-ṣumacause the deaf to hearوَلَوْwalaweven thoughكَانُواkānūthey [were]لَاlā(do) notيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnause reason
43. 43وَمِنْهُمْwamin'humAnd among themمَنْman(are some) whoيَنْظُرُyanẓurulookإِلَيْكَilaykaat youأَفَأَنْتَafa-antaBut (can) youتَهْدِيtahdīguideالْعُمْيَl-ʿum'yathe blindوَلَوْwalaweven thoughكَانُواkānūthey [were]لَاlā(do) notيُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūnasee
44. 44إِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَاlā(does) notيَظْلِمُyaẓlimuwrongالنَّاسَl-nāsathe peopleشَيْئًاshayan(in) anythingوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutالنَّاسَl-nāsathe peopleأَنْفُسَهُمْanfusahumwrong themselvesيَظْلِمُونَyaẓlimūnawrong themselves
45. 45وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd the DayيَحْشُرُهُمْyaḥshuruhumHe will gather themكَأَنْka-anas ifلَمْlamthey had not remainedيَلْبَثُواyalbathūthey had not remainedإِلَّاillāexceptسَاعَةًsāʿatanan hourمِنَminaofالنَّهَارِl-nahārithe dayيَتَعَارَفُونَyataʿārafūnathey will recognize each otherبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themقَدْqadCertainlyخَسِرَkhasira(will have) lostالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَذَّبُواkadhabūdeniedبِلِقَاءِbiliqāithe meetingاللَّهِl-lahi(with) Allahوَمَاwamāand notكَانُواkānūthey wereمُهْتَدِينَmuh'tadīnathe guided ones
46. 46وَإِمَّاwa-immāAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youبَعْضَbaʿḍasomeالَّذِيalladhī(of) that whichنَعِدُهُمْnaʿiduhumWe promised themأَوْaworنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَnatawaffayannakaWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيْنَاfa-ilaynāthen to Usمَرْجِعُهُمْmarjiʿuhum(is) their returnثُمَّthummathenاللَّهُl-lahuAllahشَهِيدٌshahīdun(is) a Witnessعَلَىʿalāoverمَاmāwhatيَفْعَلُونَyafʿalūnathey do
47. 47وَلِكُلِّwalikulliAnd for everyأُمَّةٍummatinnationرَسُولٌrasūlun(is) a Messengerفَإِذَاfa-idhāSo whenجَاءَjāacomesرَسُولُهُمْrasūluhumtheir Messengerقُضِيَquḍiyait will be judgedبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themبِالْقِسْطِbil-qis'ṭiin justiceوَهُمْwahumand theyلَاlā(will) notيُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūnabe wronged
48. 48وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaAnd they sayمَتَىmatāWhenهَذَاhādhā(will) thisالْوَعْدُl-waʿduthe promise (be fulfilled)إِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areصَادِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
49. 49قُلْqulSayلَاlāNotأَمْلِكُamlikuI have powerلِنَفْسِيlinafsīfor myselfضَرًّاḍarran(for) any harmوَلَاwalāand notنَفْعًاnafʿan(for) any profitإِلَّاillāexceptمَاmāwhatشَاءَshāaAllah willsاللَّهُl-lahuAllah willsلِكُلِّlikulliFor everyأُمَّةٍummatinnationأَجَلٌajalun(is) a termإِذَاidhāWhenجَاءَjāacomesأَجَلُهُمْajaluhumtheir termفَلَاfalāthen notيَسْتَءْخِرُونَyastakhirūnathey remain behindسَاعَةًsāʿatanan hourوَلَاwalāand notيَسْتَقْدِمُونَyastaqdimūnathey can precede (it)
50. 50قُلْqulSayأَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytumDo you seeإِنْinifأَتَىكُمْatākumcomes to youعَذَابُهُʿadhābuhuHis punishmentبَيَاتًاbayātan(by) nightأَوْaworنَهَارًاnahāran(by) dayمَاذَاmādhāwhat (portion)يَسْتَعْجِلُyastaʿjiluof it would (wish to) hastenمِنْهُmin'huof it would (wish to) hastenالْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnathe criminals
51. 51أَثُمَّathummaIs (it) thenإِذَاidhāwhenمَاmāwhenوَقَعَwaqaʿa(it had) occurredءَامَنْتُمْāmantumyou (will) believeبِهِbihiin itءَالْءَانَāl'ānaNowوَقَدْwaqadAnd certainlyكُنْتُمْkuntumyou wereبِهِbihiseeking to hasten itتَسْتَعْجِلُونَtastaʿjilūnaseeking to hasten it
52. 52ثُمَّthummaThenقِيلَqīlait will be saidلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoظَلَمُواẓalamūwrongedذُوقُواdhūqūTasteعَذَابَʿadhābapunishmentالْخُلْدِl-khul'dithe everlastingهَلْhalAre you (being) recompensedتُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawnaAre you (being) recompensedإِلَّاillāexceptبِمَاbimāfor whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used (to)تَكْسِبُونَtaksibūnaearn
53. 53وَيَسْتَنْبِئُونَكَwayastanbiūnakaAnd they ask you to informأَحَقٌّaḥaqqunIs it trueهُوَhuwaIs it trueقُلْqulSayإِيīYesوَرَبِّيwarabbīby my LordإِنَّهُinnahuIndeed, itلَحَقٌّlaḥaqqun(is) surely the truthوَمَاwamāand notأَنْتُمْantumyouبِمُعْجِزِينَbimuʿ'jizīna(can) escape (it)
54. 54وَلَوْwalawAnd ifأَنَّannathatلِكُلِّlikullifor everyنَفْسٍnafsinsoulظَلَمَتْẓalamat(that) wrongedمَاmāwhateverفِيfī(is) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthلَافْتَدَتْla-if'tadatit (would) seek to ransomبِهِbihiwith itوَأَسَرُّواwa-asarrūand they (will) confideالنَّدَامَةَl-nadāmatathe regretلَمَّاlammāwhenرَأَوُاra-awūthey seeالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentوَقُضِيَwaquḍiyaBut will be judgedبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themبِالْقِسْطِbil-qis'ṭiin justiceوَهُمْwahumand theyلَاlā(will) notيُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna(be) wronged
55. 55أَلَاalāNo doubtإِنَّinnaindeedلِلَّهِlillahifor Allahمَاmā(is) whateverفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthأَلَاalāNo doubtإِنَّinnaindeedوَعْدَwaʿda(the) Promise of Allahاللَّهِl-lahi(the) Promise of Allahحَقٌّḥaqqun(is) trueوَلَكِنَّwalākinnaButأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of themلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
56. 56هُوَhuwaHeيُحْيِيyuḥ'yīgives lifeوَيُمِيتُwayumītuand causes deathوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Himتُرْجَعُونَtur'jaʿūnayou will be returned
57. 57يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO mankindالنَّاسُl-nāsuO mankindقَدْqadVerilyجَاءَتْكُمْjāatkumhas come to youمَوْعِظَةٌmawʿiẓatunan instructionمِنْminfromرَبِّكُمْrabbikumyour Lordوَشِفَاءٌwashifāonand a healingلِمَاlimāfor whatفِيfī(is) inالصُّدُورِl-ṣudūriyour breastsوَهُدًىwahudanand guidanceوَرَحْمَةٌwaraḥmatunand mercyلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَlil'mu'minīnafor the believers
58. 58قُلْqulSayبِفَضْلِbifaḍliIn the Bountyاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَبِرَحْمَتِهِwabiraḥmatihiand in His Mercyفَبِذَلِكَfabidhālikaso in thatفَلْيَفْرَحُواfalyafraḥūlet them rejoiceهُوَhuwaItخَيْرٌkhayrun(is) betterمِمَّاmimmāthan whatيَجْمَعُونَyajmaʿūnathey accumulate
59. 59قُلْqulSayأَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytumHave you seenمَاmāwhatأَنْزَلَanzala(has been) sent downاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahلَكُمْlakumfor youمِنْminofرِزْقٍriz'qin(the) provisionفَجَعَلْتُمْfajaʿaltumand you have madeمِنْهُmin'huof itحَرَامًاḥarāmanunlawfulوَحَلَالًاwaḥalālanand lawfulقُلْqulSayءَاللَّهُāllahuHas Allahأَذِنَadhinapermittedلَكُمْlakum[to] youأَمْamorعَلَىʿalāagainstاللَّهِl-lahiAllahتَفْتَرُونَtaftarūnayou invent (lies)
60. 60وَمَاwamāAnd whatظَنُّẓannu(will be the) assumptionالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoيَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnainventعَلَىʿalāagainstاللَّهِl-lahiAllahالْكَذِبَl-kadhibathe lieيَوْمَyawma(on) the Dayالْقِيَامَةِl-qiyāmati(of) the JudgmentإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَذُوladhū(is) surely Full (of) Bountyفَضْلٍfaḍlin(is) surely Full (of) Bountyعَلَىʿalātoالنَّاسِl-nāsithe mankindوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of themلَاlā(are) notيَشْكُرُونَyashkurūnagrateful
61. 61وَمَاwamāAnd notتَكُونُtakūnuyou areفِيfī[in]شَأْنٍshaninany situationوَمَاwamāand notتَتْلُواtatlūyou reciteمِنْهُmin'huof itمِنْminfromقُرْءَانٍqur'ānin(the) Quranوَلَاwalāand notتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou doمِنْminanyعَمَلٍʿamalindeedإِلَّاillāexceptكُنَّاkunnāWe areعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumover youشُهُودًاshuhūdanwitnessesإِذْidhwhenتُفِيضُونَtufīḍūnayou are engagedفِيهِfīhiin itوَمَاwamāAnd notيَعْزُبُyaʿzubuescapesعَنْʿanfromرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordمِنْminofمِثْقَالِmith'qāli(the) weightذَرَّةٍdharratin(of) an atomفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthوَلَاwalāand notفِيfīinالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe heavensوَلَاwalāand notأَصْغَرَaṣgharasmallerمِنْminthanذَلِكَdhālikathatوَلَاwalāand notأَكْبَرَakbaragreaterإِلَّاillābutفِيfī(is) inكِتَابٍkitābina Recordمُبِينٍmubīninclear
62. 62أَلَاalāNo doubtإِنَّinnaIndeedأَوْلِيَاءَawliyāa(the) friendsاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahلَاlā(there will be) noخَوْفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimupon thenوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyيَحْزَنُونَyaḥzanūnawill grieve
63. 63الَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveوَكَانُواwakānūand areيَتَّقُونَyattaqūnaconscious (of Allah)
64. 64لَهُمُlahumuFor themالْبُشْرَىl-bush'rā(are) the glad tidingsفِيfīinالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayatithe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَفِيwafīand inالْءَاخِرَةِl-ākhiratithe HereafterلَاlāNoتَبْدِيلَtabdīlachangeلِكَلِمَاتِlikalimāti(is there) in the Wordsاللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahذَلِكَdhālikaThatهُوَhuwaisالْفَوْزُl-fawzuthe successالْعَظِيمُl-ʿaẓīmuthe great
65. 65وَلَاwalāAnd (let) notيَحْزُنْكَyaḥzunkagrieve youقَوْلُهُمْqawluhumtheir speechإِنَّinnaIndeedالْعِزَّةَl-ʿizatathe honorلِلَّهِlillahi(belongs) to AllahجَمِيعًاjamīʿanallهُوَhuwaHeالسَّمِيعُl-samīʿu(is) the All-Hearerالْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmuthe All-Knower
66. 66أَلَاalāNo doubtإِنَّinnaIndeedلِلَّهِlillahito Allah (belongs)مَنْmanwhoeverفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَنْwamanand whoeverفِيfī(is) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthوَمَاwamāAnd notيَتَّبِعُyattabiʿufollowالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَدْعُونَyadʿūnainvokeمِنْminother than Allahدُونِdūniother than Allahاللَّهِl-lahiother than AllahشُرَكَاءَshurakāapartnersإِنْinNotيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʿūnathey followإِلَّاillābutالظَّنَّl-ẓanathe assumptionوَإِنْwa-inand notهُمْhumtheyإِلَّاillābutيَخْرُصُونَyakhruṣūnaguess
67. 67هُوَhuwaHeالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeلَكُمُlakumufor youاللَّيْلَal-laylathe nightلِتَسْكُنُواlitaskunūthat you may restفِيهِfīhiin itوَالنَّهَارَwal-nahāraand the dayمُبْصِرًاmub'ṣirangiving visibilityإِنَّinnaIndeedفِيfīinذَلِكَdhālikathatلَءَايَاتٍlaāyātinsurely (are) Signsلِقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna(who) listen
68. 68قَالُواqālūThey sayاتَّخَذَittakhadhaAllah has takenاللَّهُl-lahuAllah has takenوَلَدًاwaladana sonسُبْحَانَهُsub'ḥānahuGlory be to HimهُوَhuwaHeالْغَنِيُّl-ghaniyu(is) the Self-sufficientلَهُlahuTo Him (belongs)مَاmāwhateverفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِيfī(is) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthإِنْinNotعِنْدَكُمْʿindakumyou haveمِنْminanyسُلْطَانٍsul'ṭāninauthorityبِهَذَاbihādhāfor thisأَتَقُولُونَataqūlūnaDo you sayعَلَىʿalāaboutاللَّهِl-lahiAllahمَاmāwhatلَاlānotتَعْلَمُونَtaʿlamūnayou know
69. 69قُلْqulSayإِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnainventعَلَىʿalāagainstاللَّهِl-lahiAllahالْكَذِبَl-kadhibathe lieلَاlāthey will not succeedيُفْلِحُونَyuf'liḥūnathey will not succeed
70. 70مَتَاعٌmatāʿunAn enjoymentفِيfīinالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāthe worldثُمَّthummathenإِلَيْنَاilaynāto Usمَرْجِعُهُمْmarjiʿuhum(is) their returnثُمَّthummathenنُذِيقُهُمُnudhīquhumuWe will make them tasteالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentالشَّدِيدَl-shadīdathe severeبِمَاbimābecauseكَانُواkānūthey used toيَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnadisbelieve
71. 71وَاتْلُwa-ut'luAnd reciteعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themنَبَأَnaba-athe newsنُوحٍnūḥin(of) Nuhإِذْidhwhenقَالَqālahe saidلِقَوْمِهِliqawmihito his peopleيَاقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleإِنْinIfكَانَkānaisكَبُرَkaburahardعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumon youمَقَامِيmaqāmīmy stayوَتَذْكِيرِيwatadhkīrīand my remindingبِءَايَاتِbiāyātithe Signs of Allahاللَّهِl-lahithe Signs of Allahفَعَلَىfaʿalāthen onاللَّهِl-lahiAllahتَوَكَّلْتُtawakkaltuI put my trustفَأَجْمِعُواfa-ajmiʿūSo you all resolveأَمْرَكُمْamrakumyour planوَشُرَكَاءَكُمْwashurakāakumand your partnersثُمَّthummaThenلَاlālet not beيَكُنْyakunlet not beأَمْرُكُمْamrukum(in) your planعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumfor youغُمَّةًghummatanany doubtثُمَّthummaThenاقْضُواiq'ḍūcarry (it out)إِلَيَّilayyaupon meوَلَاwalāand (do) notتُنْظِرُونِtunẓirūnigive me respite
72. 72فَإِنْfa-inBut ifتَوَلَّيْتُمْtawallaytumyou turn awayفَمَاfamāthen notسَأَلْتُكُمْsa-altukumI have asked youمِنْminanyأَجْرٍajrinrewardإِنْinNotأَجْرِيَajriya(is) my rewardإِلَّاillābutعَلَىʿalāonاللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَأُمِرْتُwa-umir'tuand I have been commandedأَنْanthatأَكُونَakūnaI beمِنَminaofالْمُسْلِمِينَl-mus'limīnathe Muslims
73. 73فَكَذَّبُوهُfakadhabūhuBut they denied himفَنَجَّيْنَاهُfanajjaynāhuso We saved himوَمَنْwamanand (those) whoمَعَهُmaʿahu(were) with himفِيfīinالْفُلْكِl-ful'kithe shipوَجَعَلْنَاهُمْwajaʿalnāhumand We made themخَلَائِفَkhalāifasuccessorsوَأَغْرَقْنَاwa-aghraqnāand We drownedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَذَّبُواkadhabūdeniedبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātināOur Signsفَانْظُرْfa-unẓurThen seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَاقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endالْمُنْذَرِينَl-mundharīna(of) those who were warned
74. 74ثُمَّthummaThenبَعَثْنَاbaʿathnāWe sentمِنْminafter himبَعْدِهِbaʿdihiafter himرُسُلًاrusulanMessengersإِلَىilātoقَوْمِهِمْqawmihimtheir peopleفَجَاءُوهُمْfajāūhumand they came to themبِالْبَيِّنَاتِbil-bayinātiwith clear proofsفَمَاfamāBut notكَانُواkānūthey wereلِيُؤْمِنُواliyu'minūto believeبِمَاbimāwhatكَذَّبُواkadhabūthey had deniedبِهِbihi[it]مِنْminbeforeقَبْلُqablubeforeكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusنَطْبَعُnaṭbaʿuWe sealعَلَىʿalā[on]قُلُوبِqulūbithe heartsالْمُعْتَدِينَl-muʿ'tadīna(of) the transgressors
75. 75ثُمَّthummaThenبَعَثْنَاbaʿathnāWe sentمِنْminafter themبَعْدِهِمْbaʿdihimafter themمُوسَىmūsāMusaوَهَارُونَwahārūnaand Harunإِلَىilātoفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawnaFiraunوَمَلَإيهِwamala-ihiand his chiefsبِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātināwith Our Signsفَاسْتَكْبَرُواfa-is'takbarūbut they were arrogantوَكَانُواwakānūand wereقَوْمًاqawmana peopleمُجْرِمِينَmuj'rimīnacriminal
76. 76فَلَمَّاfalammāSo whenجَاءَهُمُjāahumucame to themالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe truthمِنْminfrom Usعِنْدِنَاʿindināfrom Usقَالُواqālūthey saidإِنَّinnaIndeedهَذَاhādhāthisلَسِحْرٌlasiḥ'run(is) surely, a magicمُبِينٌmubīnunclear
77. 77قَالَqālaMusa saidمُوسَىmūsāMusa saidأَتَقُولُونَataqūlūnaDo you sayلِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqiabout the truthلَمَّاlammāwhenجَاءَكُمْjāakumit has come to youأَسِحْرٌasiḥ'runIs this magicهَذَاhādhāIs this magicوَلَاwalāBut (will) notيُفْلِحُyuf'liḥusucceedالسَّاحِرُونَl-sāḥirūnathe magicians
78. 78قَالُواqālūThey saidأَجِئْتَنَاaji'tanāHave you come to usلِتَلْفِتَنَاlitalfitanāto turn us awayعَمَّاʿammāfrom thatوَجَدْنَاwajadnāwe foundعَلَيْهِʿalayhion itءَابَاءَنَاābāanāour forefathersوَتَكُونَwatakūnaand you two (may) haveلَكُمَاlakumāand you two (may) haveالْكِبْرِيَاءُl-kib'riyāuthe greatnessفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landوَمَاwamāAnd we (are) notنَحْنُnaḥnuAnd we (are) notلَكُمَاlakumā(in) you twoبِمُؤْمِنِينَbimu'minīnabelievers
79. 79وَقَالَwaqālaAnd Firaun saidفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuAnd Firaun saidائْتُونِيi'tūnīBring to meبِكُلِّbikullieveryسَاحِرٍsāḥirinmagicianعَلِيمٍʿalīminlearned
80. 80فَلَمَّاfalammāSo whenجَاءَjāacameالسَّحَرَةُl-saḥaratuthe magiciansقَالَqālasaidلَهُمْlahumto themمُوسَىmūsāMusaأَلْقُواalqūThrowمَاmāwhateverأَنْتُمْantumyouمُلْقُونَmul'qūna(wish to) throw
81. 81فَلَمَّاfalammāThen whenأَلْقَوْاalqawthey (had) thrownقَالَqālaMusa saidمُوسَىmūsāMusa saidمَاmāWhatجِئْتُمْji'tumyou have broughtبِهِbihi[it]السِّحْرُl-siḥ'ru(is) the magicإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَيُبْطِلُهُsayub'ṭiluhuwill nullify itإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَاlā(does) notيُصْلِحُyuṣ'liḥuamendعَمَلَʿamalathe workالْمُفْسِدِينَl-muf'sidīna(of) the corrupters
82. 82وَيُحِقُّwayuḥiqquAnd Allah will establishاللَّهُl-lahuAnd Allah will establishالْحَقَّl-ḥaqathe truthبِكَلِمَاتِهِbikalimātihiby His wordsوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَرِهَkarihadislike itالْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnathe criminals
83. 83فَمَاfamāBut noneءَامَنَāmanabelievedلِمُوسَىlimūsāMusaإِلَّاillāexceptذُرِّيَّةٌdhurriyyatun(the) offspringمِنْminamongقَوْمِهِqawmihihis peopleعَلَىʿalāforخَوْفٍkhawfinfearمِنْminofفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawnaFiraunوَمَلَإِيهِمْwamala-ihimand their chiefsأَنْanlestيَفْتِنَهُمْyaftinahumthey persecute themوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawnaFiraunلَعَالٍlaʿālin(was) a tyrantفِيfīinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthوَإِنَّهُwa-innahuand indeed heلَمِنَlamina(was) ofالْمُسْرِفِينَl-mus'rifīnathe ones who commit excesses
84. 84وَقَالَwaqālaAnd Musa saidمُوسَىmūsāAnd Musa saidيَاقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleإِنْinIfكُنْتُمْkuntumyou haveءَامَنْتُمْāmantumbelievedبِاللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahفَعَلَيْهِfaʿalayhithen on Himتَوَكَّلُواtawakkalūput your trustإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areمُسْلِمِينَmus'limīnaMuslims
85. 85فَقَالُواfaqālūThen they saidعَلَىʿalāUponاللَّهِl-lahiAllahتَوَكَّلْنَاtawakkalnāwe put our trustرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lord!لَاlā(Do) notتَجْعَلْنَاtajʿalnāmake usفِتْنَةًfit'natana trialلِلْقَوْمِlil'qawmifor the peopleالظَّالِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
86. 86وَنَجِّنَاwanajjināAnd save usبِرَحْمَتِكَbiraḥmatikaby Your Mercyمِنَminafromالْقَوْمِl-qawmithe peopleالْكَافِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelievers
87. 87وَأَوْحَيْنَاwa-awḥaynāAnd We inspiredإِلَىilātoمُوسَىmūsāMusaوَأَخِيهِwa-akhīhiand his brotherأَنْanthatتَبَوَّءَاtabawwaāSettleلِقَوْمِكُمَاliqawmikumāyour peopleبِمِصْرَbimiṣ'rain Egyptبُيُوتًاbuyūtan(in) housesوَاجْعَلُواwa-ij'ʿalūand makeبُيُوتَكُمْbuyūtakumyour housesقِبْلَةًqib'latan(as) places of worshipوَأَقِيمُواwa-aqīmūand establishالصَّلَوةَl-ṣalatathe prayerوَبَشِّرِwabashiriAnd give glad tidingsالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna(to) the believers
88. 88وَقَالَwaqālaAnd Musa saidمُوسَىmūsāAnd Musa saidرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur LordإِنَّكَinnakaIndeed, Youءَاتَيْتَātaytahave givenفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawnaFiraunوَمَلَأَهُwamala-ahuand his chiefsزِينَةًzīnatansplendorوَأَمْوَالًاwa-amwālanand wealthفِيfīinالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayatithe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur LordلِيُضِلُّواliyuḍillūThat they may lead astrayعَنْʿanfromسَبِيلِكَsabīlikaYour wayرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordاطْمِسْiṭ'misDestroyعَلَىʿalā[on]أَمْوَالِهِمْamwālihimtheir wealthوَاشْدُدْwa-ush'dudand hardenعَلَىʿalā[on]قُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsفَلَاfalāso (that) notيُؤْمِنُواyu'minūthey believeحَتَّىḥattāuntilيَرَوُاyarawūthey seeالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentالْأَلِيمَl-alīmathe painful
89. 89قَالَqālaHe saidقَدْqadVerilyأُجِيبَتْujībathas been answeredدَعْوَتُكُمَاdaʿwatukumā(the) invocation of both of youفَاسْتَقِيمَاfa-is'taqīmāSo you two (keep to the) straight wayوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَتَّبِعَانِّtattabiʿānnifollowسَبِيلَsabīla(the) wayالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
90. 90وَجَاوَزْنَاwajāwaznāAnd We took acrossبِبَنِيbibanī(the) Childrenإِسْرَاءِيلَis'rāīla(of) Israelالْبَحْرَl-baḥrathe seaفَأَتْبَعَهُمْfa-atbaʿahumand followed themفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuFiraunوَجُنُودُهُwajunūduhuand his hostsبَغْيًاbaghyan(in) rebellionوَعَدْوًاwaʿadwanand enmityحَتَّىḥattāuntilإِذَاidhāwhenأَدْرَكَهُadrakahuovertook himالْغَرَقُl-gharaquthe drowningقَالَqālahe saidءَامَنْتُāmantuI believeأَنَّهُannahuthatلَاlā(there is) noإِلَهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptالَّذِيalladhīthe Oneءَامَنَتْāmanatin Whom believeبِهِbihiin Whom believeبَنُواbanūthe Children of Israelإِسْرَاءِيلَis'rāīlathe Children of Israelوَأَنَاwa-anāand I amمِنَminaofالْمُسْلِمِينَl-mus'limīnathe Muslims
91. 91ءَالْءَانَāl'ānaNowوَقَدْwaqadAnd verilyعَصَيْتَʿaṣaytayou (had) disobeyedقَبْلُqablubeforeوَكُنْتَwakuntaand you wereمِنَminaofالْمُفْسِدِينَl-muf'sidīnathe corrupters
92. 92فَالْيَوْمَfal-yawmaSo todayنُنَجِّيكَnunajjīkaWe will save youبِبَدَنِكَbibadanikain your bodyلِتَكُونَlitakūnathat you may beلِمَنْlimanfor (those) whoخَلْفَكَkhalfakasucceed youءَايَةًāyatana signوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedكَثِيرًاkathīranmanyمِنَminaamongالنَّاسِl-nāsithe mankindعَنْʿanofءَايَاتِنَاāyātināOur Signsلَغَافِلُونَlaghāfilūna(are) surely heedless
93. 93وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyبَوَّأْنَاbawwanāWe settledبَنِيbanī(the) Childrenإِسْرَاءِيلَis'rāīla(of) Israelمُبَوَّأَmubawwa-a(in) a settlementصِدْقٍṣid'qinhonorableوَرَزَقْنَاهُمْwarazaqnāhumand We provided themمِنَminawithالطَّيِّبَاتِl-ṭayibātithe good thingsفَمَاfamāand notاخْتَلَفُواikh'talafūthey differحَتَّىḥattāuntilجَاءَهُمُjāahumucame to themالْعِلْمُl-ʿil'muthe knowledgeإِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordيَقْضِيyaqḍīwill judgeبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themيَوْمَyawma(on) the Dayالْقِيَامَةِl-qiyāmati(of) the Resurrectionفِيمَاfīmāconcerning whatكَانُواkānūthey used (to)فِيهِfīhi[in it]يَخْتَلِفُونَyakhtalifūnadiffer
94. 94فَإِنْfa-inSo ifكُنْتَkuntayou areفِيfīinشَكٍّshakkindoubtمِمَّاmimmāof whatأَنْزَلْنَاanzalnāWe have revealedإِلَيْكَilaykato youفَسْءَلِfasalithen askالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَقْرَءُونَyaqraūna(have been) readingالْكِتَابَl-kitābathe Bookمِنْminbefore youقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youلَقَدْlaqadVerilyجَاءَكَjāakahas come to youالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe truthمِنْminfromرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordفَلَاfalāso (do) notتَكُونَنَّtakūnannabeمِنَminaamongالْمُمْتَرِينَl-mum'tarīnathe doubters
95. 95وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَكُونَنَّtakūnannabeمِنَminaofالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَذَّبُواkadhabūdenyبِءَايَاتِbiāyāti(the) Signs of Allahاللَّهِl-lahi(the) Signs of Allahفَتَكُونَfatakūnathen you will beمِنَminaamongالْخَاسِرِينَl-khāsirīnathe losers
96. 96إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose [whom]حَقَّتْḥaqqathas become dueعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon themكَلِمَتُkalimatu(the) Wordرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordلَاlāwill notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
97. 97وَلَوْwalawEven ifجَاءَتْهُمْjāathumcomes to themكُلُّkullueveryءَايَةٍāyatinSignحَتَّىḥattāuntilيَرَوُاyarawūthey seeالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentالْأَلِيمَl-alīmathe painful
98. 98فَلَوْلَاfalawlāSo why notكَانَتْkānatwasقَرْيَةٌqaryatunany townءَامَنَتْāmanatthat believedفَنَفَعَهَاfanafaʿahāand benefited itإِيمَانُهَاīmānuhāits faithإِلَّاillāexceptقَوْمَqawmathe peopleيُونُسَyūnusa(of) YunusلَمَّاlammāWhenءَامَنُواāmanūthey believedكَشَفْنَاkashafnāWe removedعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentالْخِزْيِl-khiz'yi(of) the disgraceفِيfīinالْحَيَوةِl-ḥayatithe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāof the worldوَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْwamattaʿnāhumand We granted them enjoymentإِلَىilāforحِينٍḥīnina time
99. 99وَلَوْwalawAnd ifشَاءَshāa(had) willedرَبُّكَrabbukayour Lordلَءَامَنَlaāmanasurely (would) have believedمَنْmanwhoفِيfī(are) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthكُلُّهُمْkulluhumall of themجَمِيعًاjamīʿantogetherأَفَأَنْتَafa-antaThen will youتُكْرِهُtuk'rihucompelالنَّاسَl-nāsathe mankindحَتَّىḥattāuntilيَكُونُواyakūnūthey becomeمُؤْمِنِينَmu'minīnabelievers
100. 100وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisلِنَفْسٍlinafsinfor a soulأَنْantoتُؤْمِنَtu'minabelieveإِلَّاillāexceptبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby (the) permissionاللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahوَيَجْعَلُwayajʿaluAnd He will placeالرِّجْسَl-rij'sathe wrathعَلَىʿalāonالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnause reason
101. 101قُلِquliSayانْظُرُواunẓurūSeeمَاذَاmādhāwhatفِيfī(is) inالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَمَاwamāBut notتُغْنِيtugh'nīwill availالْءَايَاتُl-āyātuthe Signsوَالنُّذُرُwal-nudhuruand the warnersعَنْʿantoقَوْمٍqawmina peopleلَاlā(who do) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
102. 102فَهَلْfahalThen doيَنْتَظِرُونَyantaẓirūnathey waitإِلَّاillāexceptمِثْلَmith'lalikeأَيَّامِayyāmithe daysالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoخَلَوْاkhalawpassed awayمِنْminbefore themقَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore themقُلْqulSayفَانْتَظِرُواfa-intaẓirūThen waitإِنِّيinnīindeed, I (am)مَعَكُمْmaʿakumwith youمِنَminaamongالْمُنْتَظِرِينَl-muntaẓirīnathe ones who wait
103. 103ثُمَّthummaThenنُنَجِّيnunajjīWe will saveرُسُلَنَاrusulanāOur Messengersوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveكَذَلِكَkadhālikaThusحَقًّاḥaqqan(it is) an obligationعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāupon Usنُنْجِnunji(that) We saveالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believers
104. 104قُلْqulSayيَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO (mankind)النَّاسُl-nāsu(O) mankindإِنْinIfكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areفِيfīinشَكٍّshakkindoubtمِنْminofدِينِيdīnīmy religionفَلَاfalāthen notأَعْبُدُaʿbuduI worshipالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whomتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnayou worshipمِنْminbesides Allahدُونِdūnibesides Allahاللَّهِl-lahibesides AllahوَلَكِنْwalākinbutأَعْبُدُaʿbuduI worshipاللَّهَl-lahaAllahالَّذِيalladhīthe One Whoيَتَوَفَّاكُمْyatawaffākumcauses you to dieوَأُمِرْتُwa-umir'tuAnd I am commandedأَنْanthatأَكُونَakūnaI beمِنَminaofالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believers
105. 105وَأَنْwa-anAnd thatأَقِمْaqimDirectوَجْهَكَwajhakayour faceلِلدِّينِlilddīnito the religionحَنِيفًاḥanīfanuprightوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَكُونَنَّtakūnannabeمِنَminaofالْمُشْرِكِينَl-mush'rikīnathe polytheists
106. 106وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَدْعُtadʿuinvokeمِنْminbesides Allahدُونِdūnibesides Allahاللَّهِl-lahibesides Allahمَاmāwhatلَاlā(will) notيَنْفَعُكَyanfaʿukabenefit youوَلَاwalāand notيَضُرُّكَyaḍurrukaharm youفَإِنْfa-inBut ifفَعَلْتَfaʿaltayou did soفَإِنَّكَfa-innakaindeed, youإِذًاidhanthen (will be)مِنَminaofالظَّالِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
107. 107وَإِنْwa-inAnd ifيَمْسَسْكَyamsaskaAllah touches youاللَّهُl-lahuAllah touches youبِضُرٍّbiḍurrinwith adversityفَلَاfalā(there is) noكَاشِفَkāshifaremoverلَهُlahuof itإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَhuwaHimوَإِنْwa-inand ifيُرِدْكَyurid'kaHe intends for youبِخَيْرٍbikhayrinany goodفَلَاfalāthen (there is) noرَادَّrāddarepellerلِفَضْلِهِlifaḍlihi(of) His BountyيُصِيبُyuṣībuHe causes it to reachبِهِbihiHe causes it to reachمَنْmanwhomيَشَاءُyashāuHe willsمِنْminofعِبَادِهِʿibādihiHis slavesوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heالْغَفُورُl-ghafūru(is) the Oft-Forgivingالرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful
108. 108قُلْqulSayيَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO mankindالنَّاسُl-nāsuO mankindقَدْqadVerilyجَاءَكُمُjāakumuhas come to youالْحَقُّl-ḥaquthe truthمِنْminfromرَبِّكُمْrabbikumyour LordفَمَنِfamaniSo whoeverاهْتَدَىih'tadā(is) guidedفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāthen onlyيَهْتَدِيyahtadī(he is) guidedلِنَفْسِهِlinafsihifor his soulوَمَنْwamanand whoeverضَلَّḍallagoes astrayفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāthen onlyيَضِلُّyaḍilluhe straysعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāagainst itوَمَاwamāAnd I am notأَنَاanāAnd I am notعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumover youبِوَكِيلٍbiwakīlina guardian
109. 109وَاتَّبِعْwa-ittabiʿAnd followمَاmāwhatيُوحَىyūḥāis revealedإِلَيْكَilaykato youوَاصْبِرْwa-iṣ'birand be patientحَتَّىḥattāuntilيَحْكُمَyaḥkumaAllah gives judgmentاللَّهُl-lahuAllah gives judgmentوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heخَيْرُkhayru(is) the Bestالْحَاكِمِينَl-ḥākimīna(of) the Judges
