بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah 8 — Al-Anfaal

  1. 1يَسْءَلُونَكَyasalūnakaThey ask youعَنِʿaniaboutالْأَنْفَالِl-anfālithe spoils of warقُلِquliSayالْأَنْفَالُl-anfāluThe spoils of warلِلَّهِlillahi(are) for Allahوَالرَّسُولِwal-rasūliand the Messengerفَاتَّقُواfa-ittaqūSo fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَأَصْلِحُواwa-aṣliḥūand set rightذَاتَdhātathatبَيْنِكُمْbaynikum(which is) between youوَأَطِيعُواwa-aṭīʿūand obeyاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَرَسُولَهُwarasūlahuand His Messengerإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyou areمُؤْمِنِينَmu'minīnabelievers
  2. 2إِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyالْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believersالَّذِينَalladhīna(are) those whoإِذَاidhāwhenذُكِرَdhukirais mentionedاللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَجِلَتْwajilatfeel fearقُلُوبُهُمْqulūbuhumtheir heartsوَإِذَاwa-idhāand whenتُلِيَتْtuliyatare recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَاتُهُāyātuhuHis Versesزَادَتْهُمْzādathumthey increase themإِيمَانًاīmānan(in) faithوَعَلَىwaʿalāand uponرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordيَتَوَكَّلُونَyatawakkalūnathey put their trust
  3. 3الَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيُقِيمُونَyuqīmūnaestablishالصَّلَوةَl-ṣalatathe prayerوَمِمَّاwamimmāand out of whatرَزَقْنَاهُمْrazaqnāhumWe have provided themيُنْفِقُونَyunfiqūnathey spend
  4. 4أُولَئِكَulāikaThoseهُمُhumuthey areالْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believersحَقًّاḥaqqan(in) truthلَهُمْlahumFor themدَرَجَاتٌdarajātun(are) ranksعِنْدَʿindawithرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordوَمَغْفِرَةٌwamaghfiratunand forgivenessوَرِزْقٌwariz'qunand a provisionكَرِيمٌkarīmunnoble
  5. 5كَمَاkamāAsأَخْرَجَكَakhrajakabrought you outرَبُّكَrabbukayour Lordمِنْminfromبَيْتِكَbaytikayour homeبِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin truthوَإِنَّwa-innawhile indeedفَرِيقًاfarīqana partyمِنَminaamongالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believersلَكَارِهُونَlakārihūnacertainly disliked
  6. 6يُجَادِلُونَكَyujādilūnakaThey dispute with youفِيconcerningالْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truthبَعْدَbaʿdaafter whatمَاafter whatتَبَيَّنَtabayyanawas made clearكَأَنَّمَاka-annamāas ifيُسَاقُونَyusāqūnathey were drivenإِلَىilātoالْمَوْتِl-mawti[the] deathوَهُمْwahumwhile theyيَنْظُرُونَyanẓurūna(were) looking
  7. 7وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenيَعِدُكُمُyaʿidukumupromised youاللَّهُl-lahuAllahإِحْدَىiḥ'dāoneالطَّائِفَتَيْنِl-ṭāifatayni(of) the two groupsأَنَّهَاannahāthat it (would be)لَكُمْlakumfor youوَتَوَدُّونَwatawaddūnaand you wishedأَنَّannathatغَيْرَghayra(one) other thanذَاتِdhātithatالشَّوْكَةِl-shawkati(of) the armedتَكُونُtakūnuwould beلَكُمْlakumfor youوَيُرِيدُwayurīduBut intendedاللَّهُl-lahuAllahأَنْantoيُحِقَّyuḥiqqajustifyالْحَقَّl-ḥaqathe truthبِكَلِمَاتِهِbikalimātihiby His wordsوَيَقْطَعَwayaqṭaʿaand cut offدَابِرَdābira(the) rootsالْكَافِرِينَl-kāfirīna(of) the disbelievers
  8. 8لِيُحِقَّliyuḥiqqaThat He might justifyالْحَقَّl-ḥaqathe truthوَيُبْطِلَwayub'ṭilaand prove falseالْبَاطِلَl-bāṭilathe falsehoodوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَرِهَkarihadisliked (it)الْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnathe criminals
  9. 9إِذْidhWhenتَسْتَغِيثُونَtastaghīthūnayou were seeking helpرَبَّكُمْrabbakum(of) your Lordفَاسْتَجَابَfa-is'tajābaand He answeredلَكُمْlakum[to] youأَنِّيannīIndeed I amمُمِدُّكُمْmumiddukumgoing to reinforce youبِأَلْفٍbi-alfinwith a thousandمِنَminaofالْمَلَائِكَةِl-malāikatithe Angelsمُرْدِفِينَmur'difīnaone after another
  10. 10وَمَاwamāAnd notجَعَلَهُjaʿalahu(it was) madeاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahإِلَّاillābutبُشْرَىbush'rāgood tidingsوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّwalitaṭma-innaand so that might be at restبِهِbihiwith itقُلُوبُكُمْqulūbukumyour heartsوَمَاwamāAnd (there is) noالنَّصْرُl-naṣru[the] victoryإِلَّاillāexceptمِنْminfromعِنْدِʿindi[of]اللَّهِl-lahiAllahإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun(is) All-MightyحَكِيمٌḥakīmunAll-Wise
  11. 11إِذْidhWhenيُغَشِّيكُمُyughashīkumuHe covered youالنُّعَاسَl-nuʿāsawith [the] slumberأَمَنَةًamanatana securityمِنْهُmin'hufrom Himوَيُنَزِّلُwayunazziluand sent downعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumupon youمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe skyمَاءًmāanwaterلِيُطَهِّرَكُمْliyuṭahhirakumso that He may purify youبِهِbihiwith itوَيُذْهِبَwayudh'hibaand take awayعَنْكُمْʿankumfrom youرِجْزَrij'zaevil (suggestions)الشَّيْطَانِl-shayṭāni(of) the ShaitaanوَلِيَرْبِطَwaliyarbiṭaAnd to strengthenعَلَىʿalā[on]قُلُوبِكُمْqulūbikumyour heartsوَيُثَبِّتَwayuthabbitaand make firmبِهِbihiwith itالْأَقْدَامَl-aqdāmayour feet
  12. 12إِذْidhWhenيُوحِيyūḥīinspiredرَبُّكَrabbukayour Lordإِلَىilātoالْمَلَائِكَةِl-malāikatithe AngelsأَنِّيannīI amمَعَكُمْmaʿakumwith youفَثَبِّتُواfathabbitūso strengthenالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedسَأُلْقِيsa-ul'qīI will castفِيinقُلُوبِqulūbi(the) heartsالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedالرُّعْبَl-ruʿ'bathe terrorفَاضْرِبُواfa-iḍ'ribūso strikeفَوْقَfawqaaboveالْأَعْنَاقِl-aʿnāqithe necksوَاضْرِبُواwa-iḍ'ribūand strikeمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themكُلَّkullaeveryبَنَانٍbanāninfingertip[s]
  13. 13ذَلِكَdhālikaThatبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) because theyشَاقُّواshāqqūopposedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَرَسُولَهُwarasūlahuand His MessengerوَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيُشَاقِقِyushāqiqiopposesاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَرَسُولَهُwarasūlahuand His Messengerفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahشَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severeالْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābiin [the] penalty
  14. 14ذَلِكُمْdhālikumThatفَذُوقُوهُfadhūqūhuSo taste itوَأَنَّwa-annaAnd thatلِلْكَافِرِينَlil'kāfirīnafor the disbelieversعَذَابَʿadhāba(is the) punishmentالنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire
  15. 15يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveإِذَاidhāWhenلَقِيتُمُlaqītumuyou meetالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveزَحْفًاzaḥfanadvancingفَلَاfalāthen (do) notتُوَلُّوهُمُtuwallūhumuturn to themالْأَدْبَارَl-adbārathe backs
  16. 16وَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverيُوَلِّهِمْyuwallihimturns to themيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat dayدُبُرَهُduburahuhis backإِلَّاillāexceptمُتَحَرِّفًاmutaḥarrifan(as) a strategyلِقِتَالٍliqitālinof warأَوْaworمُتَحَيِّزًاmutaḥayyizan(to) joinإِلَىilātoفِئَةٍfi-atina groupفَقَدْfaqadcertainlyبَاءَbāa(he has) incurredبِغَضَبٍbighaḍabinwrathمِنَminaofاللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَمَأْوَاهُwamawāhuand his abodeجَهَنَّمُjahannamu(is) Hellوَبِئْسَwabi'saa wretchedالْمَصِيرُl-maṣīrudestination
  17. 17فَلَمْfalamAnd notتَقْتُلُوهُمْtaqtulūhumyou kill themوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutاللَّهَl-lahaAllahقَتَلَهُمْqatalahumkilled themوَمَاwamāAnd notرَمَيْتَramaytayou threwإِذْidhwhenرَمَيْتَramaytayou threwوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutاللَّهَl-lahaAllahرَمَىramāthrewوَلِيُبْلِيَwaliyub'liyaand that He may testالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believersمِنْهُmin'hufrom Himبَلَاءًbalāan(with) a trialحَسَنًاḥasanangoodإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَمِيعٌsamīʿun(is) All-HearingعَلِيمٌʿalīmunAll-Knowing
  18. 18ذَلِكُمْdhālikumThat (is the case)وَأَنَّwa-annaand thatاللَّهَl-lahaAllah (is)مُوهِنُmūhinuone who makes weakكَيْدِkaydi(the) planالْكَافِرِينَl-kāfirīna(of) the disbelievers
  19. 19إِنْinIfتَسْتَفْتِحُواtastaftiḥūyou ask for victoryفَقَدْfaqadthen certainlyجَاءَكُمُjāakumuhas come to youالْفَتْحُl-fatḥuthe victoryوَإِنْwa-inAnd ifتَنْتَهُواtantahūyou desistفَهُوَfahuwathen it (is)خَيْرٌkhayrungoodلَكُمْlakumfor youوَإِنْwa-inbut ifتَعُودُواtaʿūdūyou returnنَعُدْnaʿudWe will return (too)وَلَنْwalanAnd neverتُغْنِيَtugh'niyawill availعَنْكُمْʿankumyouفِئَتُكُمْfi-atukumyour forcesشَيْئًاshayananythingوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَثُرَتْkathurat(they are) numerousوَأَنَّwa-annaAnd thatاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَعَmaʿa(is) withالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believers
  20. 20يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveأَطِيعُواaṭīʿūObeyاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَرَسُولَهُwarasūlahuand His MessengerوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَوَلَّوْاtawallawturn awayعَنْهُʿanhufrom himوَأَنْتُمْwa-antumwhile youتَسْمَعُونَtasmaʿūnahear
  21. 21وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَكُونُواtakūnūbeكَالَّذِينَka-alladhīnalike those whoقَالُواqālūsayسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nāWe heardوَهُمْwahumwhile theyلَاdo notيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūnahear
  22. 22إِنَّinnaIndeedشَرَّsharraworstالدَّوَابِّl-dawābi(of) the living creaturesعِنْدَʿindanearاللَّهِl-lahiAllahالصُّمُّl-ṣumu(are) the deafالْبُكْمُl-buk'muthe dumbالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَا(do) notيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnause their intellect
  23. 23وَلَوْwalawAnd ifعَلِمَʿalima(had) knownاللَّهُl-lahuAllahفِيهِمْfīhimin themخَيْرًاkhayranany goodلَأَسْمَعَهُمْla-asmaʿahumsurely, He (would) have made them hearوَلَوْwalawAnd ifأَسْمَعَهُمْasmaʿahumHe had made them hearلَتَوَلَّوْاlatawallawsurely they would have turned awayوَهُمْwahumwhile theyمُعْرِضُونَmuʿ'riḍūna(were) averse
  24. 24يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveاسْتَجِيبُواis'tajībūRespondلِلَّهِlillahito Allahوَلِلرَّسُولِwalilrrasūliand His Messengerإِذَاidhāwhenدَعَاكُمْdaʿākumhe calls youلِمَاlimāto whatيُحْيِيكُمْyuḥ'yīkumgives you lifeوَاعْلَمُواwa-iʿ'lamūAnd knowأَنَّannathatاللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَحُولُyaḥūlucomesبَيْنَbayna(in) betweenالْمَرْءِl-maria manوَقَلْبِهِwaqalbihiand his heartوَأَنَّهُwa-annahuand thatإِلَيْهِilayhito Himتُحْشَرُونَtuḥ'sharūnayou will be gathered
  25. 25وَاتَّقُواwa-ittaqūAnd fearفِتْنَةًfit'natana trialلَاnotتُصِيبَنَّtuṣībannawhich will afflictالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoظَلَمُواẓalamūdo wrongمِنْكُمْminkumamong youخَاصَّةًkhāṣṣatanexclusivelyوَاعْلَمُواwa-iʿ'lamūAnd knowأَنَّannathatاللَّهَl-lahaAllahشَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severeالْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) the penalty
  26. 26وَاذْكُرُواwa-udh'kurūAnd rememberإِذْidhwhenأَنْتُمْantumyouقَلِيلٌqalīlun(were) fewمُسْتَضْعَفُونَmus'taḍʿafūna(and) deemed weakفِيinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthتَخَافُونَtakhāfūnafearingأَنْanthatيَتَخَطَّفَكُمُyatakhaṭṭafakumumight do away with youالنَّاسُl-nāsuthe menفَءَاوَاكُمْfaāwākumthen He sheltered youوَأَيَّدَكُمْwa-ayyadakumand strengthened youبِنَصْرِهِbinaṣrihiwith His helpوَرَزَقَكُمْwarazaqakumand provided youمِنَminaofالطَّيِّبَاتِl-ṭayibātithe good thingsلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتَشْكُرُونَtashkurūna(be) thankful
  27. 27يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveلَا(Do) notتَخُونُواtakhūnūbetrayاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَالرَّسُولَwal-rasūlaand the Messengerوَتَخُونُواwatakhūnūor betrayأَمَانَاتِكُمْamānātikumyour trustsوَأَنْتُمْwa-antumwhile youتَعْلَمُونَtaʿlamūnaknow
  28. 28وَاعْلَمُواwa-iʿ'lamūAnd knowأَنَّمَاannamāthatأَمْوَالُكُمْamwālukumyour wealthوَأَوْلَادُكُمْwa-awlādukumand your childrenفِتْنَةٌfit'natun(are) a trialوَأَنَّwa-annaAnd thatاللَّهَl-lahaAllahعِنْدَهُʿindahuwith Himأَجْرٌajrun(is) a rewardعَظِيمٌʿaẓīmungreat
  29. 29يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveإِنْinIfتَتَّقُواtattaqūyou fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَجْعَلْyajʿalHe will grantلَكُمْlakumyouفُرْقَانًاfur'qānana criterionوَيُكَفِّرْwayukaffirand will removeعَنْكُمْʿankumfrom youسَيِّئَاتِكُمْsayyiātikumyour evil deedsوَيَغْفِرْwayaghfirand forgiveلَكُمْlakumyouوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahذُوdhū(is) the Possessorالْفَضْلِl-faḍli(of) Bountyالْعَظِيمِl-ʿaẓīmithe Great
  30. 30وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenيَمْكُرُyamkuruplottedبِكَbikaagainst youالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelievedلِيُثْبِتُوكَliyuth'bitūkathat they restrain youأَوْaworيَقْتُلُوكَyaqtulūkakill youأَوْaworيُخْرِجُوكَyukh'rijūkadrive you outوَيَمْكُرُونَwayamkurūnaAnd they were planningوَيَمْكُرُwayamkuruand (also) was planningاللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahخَيْرُkhayruis (the) Bestالْمَاكِرِينَl-mākirīna(of) the Planners
  31. 31وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenتُتْلَىtut'lāare recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَاتُنَاāyātunāOur Versesقَالُواqālūthey sayقَدْqadVerilyسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nāwe have heardلَوْlawifنَشَاءُnashāuwe wishلَقُلْنَاlaqul'nāsurely, we could sayمِثْلَmith'lalikeهَذَاhādhāthisإِنْinNotهَذَاhādhāis thisإِلَّاillābutأَسَاطِيرُasāṭīrutalesالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former (people)
  32. 32وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenقَالُواqālūthey saidاللَّهُمَّl-lahumaO AllahإِنْinIfكَانَkānawasهَذَاhādhāthisهُوَhuwa[it]الْحَقَّl-ḥaqathe truthمِنْmin[of]عِنْدِكَʿindikafrom Youفَأَمْطِرْfa-amṭirthen (send) rainعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāupon usحِجَارَةًḥijāratan(of) stonesمِنَminafromالسَّمَاءِl-samāithe skyأَوِawiorائْتِنَاi'tinābring (upon) usبِعَذَابٍbiʿadhābina punishmentأَلِيمٍalīminpainful
  33. 33وَمَاwamāBut notكَانَkānaisاللَّهُl-lahu(for) Allahلِيُعَذِّبَهُمْliyuʿadhibahumthat He punishes themوَأَنْتَwa-antawhile youفِيهِمْfīhim(are) among themوَمَاwamāand notكَانَkānaisاللَّهُl-lahuAllahمُعَذِّبَهُمْmuʿadhibahumthe One Who punishes themوَهُمْwahumwhile theyيَسْتَغْفِرُونَyastaghfirūnaseek forgiveness
  34. 34وَمَاwamāBut whatلَهُمْlahum(is) for themأَلَّاallāthat notيُعَذِّبَهُمُyuʿadhibahumu(should) punish themاللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَهُمْwahumwhile theyيَصُدُّونَyaṣuddūnahinder (people)عَنِʿanifromالْمَسْجِدِl-masjidiAl-Masjidالْحَرَامِl-ḥarāmiAl-Haraamوَمَاwamāwhile notكَانُواkānūthey areأَوْلِيَاءَهُawliyāahuits guardiansإِنْinNot (can be)أَوْلِيَاؤُهُawliyāuhuits guardiansإِلَّاillāexceptالْمُتَّقُونَl-mutaqūnathe ones who fear Allahوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
  35. 35وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasصَلَاتُهُمْṣalātuhumtheir prayerعِنْدَʿindaatالْبَيْتِl-baytithe Houseإِلَّاillāexceptمُكَاءًmukāanwhistlingوَتَصْدِيَةًwataṣdiyatanand clappingفَذُوقُواfadhūqūSo tasteالْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentبِمَاbimābecauseكُنْتُمْkuntumyou used toتَكْفُرُونَtakfurūnadisbelieve
  36. 36إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveيُنْفِقُونَyunfiqūnathey spendأَمْوَالَهُمْamwālahumtheir wealthلِيَصُدُّواliyaṣuddūto hinder (people)عَنْʿanfromسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayاللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahفَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَاfasayunfiqūnahāSo they will spend itثُمَّthummathenتَكُونُtakūnuit will beعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimfor themحَسْرَةًḥasratana regretثُمَّthummathenيُغْلَبُونَyugh'labūnathey will be overcomeوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveإِلَىilātoجَهَنَّمَjahannamaHellيُحْشَرُونَyuḥ'sharūnathey will be gathered
  37. 37لِيَمِيزَliyamīzaThat may distinguishاللَّهُl-lahuAllahالْخَبِيثَl-khabīthathe wickedمِنَminafromالطَّيِّبِl-ṭayibithe goodوَيَجْعَلَwayajʿalaand placeالْخَبِيثَl-khabīthathe wickedبَعْضَهُbaʿḍahusome of themعَلَىʿalāonبَعْضٍbaʿḍinothersفَيَرْكُمَهُfayarkumahuand heap themجَمِيعًاjamīʿanall togetherفَيَجْعَلَهُfayajʿalahuand put themفِيinجَهَنَّمَjahannamaHellأُولَئِكَulāikaThoseهُمُhumutheyالْخَاسِرُونَl-khāsirūna(are) the losers
  38. 38قُلْqulSayلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveإِنْinifيَنْتَهُواyantahūthey ceaseيُغْفَرْyugh'farwill be forgivenلَهُمْlahumfor themمَاwhatقَدْqad[verily]سَلَفَsalafa(is) pastوَإِنْwa-inBut ifيَعُودُواyaʿūdūthey returnفَقَدْfaqadthen verilyمَضَتْmaḍatprecededسُنَّتُsunnatu(the) practiceالْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former (people)
  39. 39وَقَاتِلُوهُمْwaqātilūhumAnd fight themحَتَّىḥattāuntilلَاnotتَكُونَtakūnathere isفِتْنَةٌfit'natunoppressionوَيَكُونَwayakūnaand isالدِّينُl-dīnuthe religionكُلُّهُkulluhuall of itلِلَّهِlillahifor Allahفَإِنِfa-iniBut ifانْتَهَوْاintahawthey ceasedفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahبِمَاbimāof whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnathey doبَصِيرٌbaṣīrun(is) All-Seer
  40. 40وَإِنْwa-inAnd ifتَوَلَّوْاtawallawthey turn awayفَاعْلَمُواfa-iʿ'lamūthen knowأَنَّannathatاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَوْلَاكُمْmawlākum(is) your Protectorنِعْمَniʿ'maExcellentالْمَوْلَىl-mawlā(is) the Protectorوَنِعْمَwaniʿ'maand Excellentالنَّصِيرُl-naṣīru(is) the Helper
  41. 41وَاعْلَمُواwa-iʿ'lamūAnd knowأَنَّمَاannamāthat whatغَنِمْتُمْghanim'tumyou obtain (as) spoils of warمِنْminofشَيْءٍshayinanythingفَأَنَّfa-annathen thatلِلَّهِlillahifor Allahخُمُسَهُkhumusahu(is) one fifth of itوَلِلرَّسُولِwalilrrasūliand for the Messengerوَلِذِيwalidhīand for theالْقُرْبَىl-qur'bānear relativesوَالْيَتَامَىwal-yatāmāand the orphansوَالْمَسَاكِينِwal-masākīniand the needyوَابْنِwa-ib'niand theالسَّبِيلِl-sabīliwayfarerإِنْinifكُنْتُمْkuntumyouءَامَنْتُمْāmantumbelieveبِاللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَمَاwamāand (in) whatأَنْزَلْنَاanzalnāWe sent downعَلَىʿalātoعَبْدِنَاʿabdināOur slaveيَوْمَyawma(on the) dayالْفُرْقَانِl-fur'qāni(of) the criterionيَوْمَyawma(the) dayالْتَقَىl-taqā(when) metالْجَمْعَانِl-jamʿānithe two forcesوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلَىʿalā(is) onكُلِّkullieveryشَيْءٍshayinthingقَدِيرٌqadīrunAll-Powerful
  42. 42إِذْidhWhenأَنْتُمْantumyou (were)بِالْعُدْوَةِbil-ʿud'wation side of the valleyالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāthe nearerوَهُمْwahumand theyبِالْعُدْوَةِbil-ʿud'wati(were) on the sideالْقُصْوَىl-quṣ'wāthe fartherوَالرَّكْبُwal-rakbuand the caravanأَسْفَلَasfala(was) lowerمِنْكُمْminkumthan youوَلَوْwalawAnd ifتَوَاعَدْتُمْtawāʿadttumyou (had) made an appointmentلَاخْتَلَفْتُمْla-ikh'talaftumcertainly you would have failedفِيinالْمِيعَادِl-mīʿādithe appointmentوَلَكِنْwalākinButلِيَقْضِيَliyaqḍiyathat might accomplishاللَّهُl-lahuAllahأَمْرًاamrana matterكَانَkāna(that) wasمَفْعُولًاmafʿūlandestinedلِيَهْلِكَliyahlikathat (might be) destroyedمَنْman(those) whoهَلَكَhalaka(were to be) destroyedعَنْʿanonبَيِّنَةٍbayyinatina clear evidenceوَيَحْيَىwayaḥyāand (might) liveمَنْman(those) whoحَيَّḥayya(were to) liveعَنْʿanonبَيِّنَةٍbayyinatina clear evidenceوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَسَمِيعٌlasamīʿun(is) All-HearingعَلِيمٌʿalīmunAll-Knowing
  43. 43إِذْidhWhenيُرِيكَهُمُyurīkahumuyou (where) shown themاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahفِيinمَنَامِكَmanāmikayour dreamقَلِيلًاqalīlan(as) fewوَلَوْwalawand ifأَرَاكَهُمْarākahumHe had shown them to youكَثِيرًاkathīran(as) manyلَفَشِلْتُمْlafashil'tumsurely you would have lost courageوَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْwalatanāzaʿtumand surely you would have disputedفِيinالْأَمْرِl-amrithe matterوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutاللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَلَّمَsallamasaved (you)إِنَّهُinnahuIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerبِذَاتِbidhātiof what is inالصُّدُورِl-ṣudūrithe breasts
  44. 44وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenيُرِيكُمُوهُمْyurīkumūhumHe showed them to youإِذِidhiwhenالْتَقَيْتُمْl-taqaytumyou metفِيinأَعْيُنِكُمْaʿyunikumyour eyesقَلِيلًاqalīlan(as) fewوَيُقَلِّلُكُمْwayuqallilukumand He made you (appear) as fewفِيinأَعْيُنِهِمْaʿyunihimtheir eyesلِيَقْضِيَliyaqḍiyathat might accomplishاللَّهُl-lahuAllah might accomplishأَمْرًاamrana matterكَانَkāna(that) wasمَفْعُولًاmafʿūlan(already) destinedوَإِلَىwa-ilāAnd toاللَّهِl-lahiAllahتُرْجَعُtur'jaʿureturnالْأُمُورُl-umūru(all) the matters
  45. 45يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youالَّذِينَalladhīnawhoءَامَنُواāmanūbelieveإِذَاidhāWhenلَقِيتُمْlaqītumyou meetفِئَةًfi-atana forceفَاثْبُتُواfa-uth'butūthen be firmوَاذْكُرُواwa-udh'kurūand rememberاللَّهَl-lahaAllahكَثِيرًاkathīranmuchلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتُفْلِحُونَtuf'liḥūna(be) successful
  46. 46وَأَطِيعُواwa-aṭīʿūAnd obeyاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَرَسُولَهُwarasūlahuand His Messengerوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَنَازَعُواtanāzaʿūdisputeفَتَفْشَلُواfatafshalūlest you lose courageوَتَذْهَبَwatadhhabaand (would) departرِيحُكُمْrīḥukumyour strengthوَاصْبِرُواwa-iṣ'birūand be patientإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَعَmaʿa(is) withالصَّابِرِينَl-ṣābirīnathe patient ones
  47. 47وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَكُونُواtakūnūbeكَالَّذِينَka-alladhīnalike those whoخَرَجُواkharajūcame forthمِنْminfromدِيَارِهِمْdiyārihimtheir homesبَطَرًاbaṭaranboastfullyوَرِئَاءَwariāaand showing offالنَّاسِl-nāsi(to) the peopleوَيَصُدُّونَwayaṣuddūnaand hinder (them)عَنْʿanfromسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَاbimāof whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnathey doمُحِيطٌmuḥīṭun(is) All-Encompassing
  48. 48وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenزَيَّنَzayyanamade fair-seemingلَهُمُlahumuto themالشَّيْطَانُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaanأَعْمَالَهُمْaʿmālahumtheir deedsوَقَالَwaqālaand he saidلَاNo (one)غَالِبَghāliba(can) overcomeلَكُمُlakumu[to] youالْيَوْمَl-yawmatodayمِنَminafromالنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleوَإِنِّيwa-innīand indeed, I amجَارٌjāruna neighborلَكُمْlakumfor youفَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenتَرَاءَتِtarāaticame in sightالْفِئَتَانِl-fi-atānithe two forcesنَكَصَnakaṣahe turned awayعَلَىʿalāonعَقِبَيْهِʿaqibayhihis heelsوَقَالَwaqālaand saidإِنِّيinnīIndeed, I amبَرِيءٌbarīonfreeمِنْكُمْminkumof youإِنِّيinnīIndeed, Iأَرَىarāseeمَاwhatلَاnotتَرَوْنَtarawnayou seeإِنِّيinnīindeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahشَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severeالْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) the penalty
  49. 49إِذْidhWhenيَقُولُyaqūlusaidالْمُنَافِقُونَl-munāfiqūnathe hypocritesوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoفِيinقُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsمَرَضٌmaraḍun(was) a diseaseغَرَّgharra(Had) deludedهَؤُلَاءِhāulāithese (people)دِينُهُمْdīnuhumtheir religionوَمَنْwamanBut whoeverيَتَوَكَّلْyatawakkalputs (his) trustعَلَىʿalāinاللَّهِl-lahiAllahفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun(is) All-MightyحَكِيمٌḥakīmunAll-Wise
  50. 50وَلَوْwalawAnd ifتَرَىtarāyou (could) seeإِذْidhwhenيَتَوَفَّىyatawaffātake away soulsالَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveالْمَلَائِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angelsيَضْرِبُونَyaḍribūnastrikingوُجُوهَهُمْwujūhahumtheir facesوَأَدْبَارَهُمْwa-adbārahumand their backsوَذُوقُواwadhūqūTasteعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentالْحَرِيقِl-ḥarīqi(of) the Blazing Fire
  51. 51ذَلِكَdhālikaThatبِمَاbimā(is) for whatقَدَّمَتْqaddamatsent forthأَيْدِيكُمْaydīkumyour handsوَأَنَّwa-annaAnd indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَيْسَlaysa(is) notبِظَلَّامٍbiẓallāminunjustلِلْعَبِيدِlil'ʿabīdito His slaves
  52. 52كَدَأْبِkadabiLike (the) wayءَالِāli(of) peopleفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna(of) Firaunوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoمِنْmin(were) fromقَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore themكَفَرُواkafarūThey disbelievedبِءَايَاتِbiāyātiin (the) Signsاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahفَأَخَذَهُمُfa-akhadhahumuso seized themاللَّهُl-lahuAllahبِذُنُوبِهِمْbidhunūbihimfor their sinsإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahقَوِيٌّqawiyyun(is) All-Strongشَدِيدُshadīdu(and) severeالْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) the penalty
  53. 53ذَلِكَdhālikaThatبِأَنَّbi-anna(is) becauseاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَمْlamnotيَكُyakuisمُغَيِّرًاmughayyiranOne Who changesنِعْمَةًniʿ'matana favorأَنْعَمَهَاanʿamahāwhich He had bestowedعَلَىʿalāonقَوْمٍqawmina peopleحَتَّىḥattāuntilيُغَيِّرُواyughayyirūthey changeمَاwhatبِأَنْفُسِهِمْbi-anfusihim(is) in themselvesوَأَنَّwa-annaAnd indeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَمِيعٌsamīʿun(is) All-HearingعَلِيمٌʿalīmunAll-Knowing
  54. 54كَدَأْبِkadabiLike (the) wayءَالِāli(of) peopleفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna(of) Firaunوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoمِنْmin(were) fromقَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore themكَذَّبُواkadhabūThey deniedبِءَايَاتِbiāyāti(the) Signsرَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lordفَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْfa-ahlaknāhumso We destroyed themبِذُنُوبِهِمْbidhunūbihimfor their sinsوَأَغْرَقْنَاwa-aghraqnāand We drownedءَالَāla(the) peopleفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna(of) Firaunوَكُلٌّwakullunand (they) allكَانُواkānūwereظَالِمِينَẓālimīnawrongdoers
  55. 55إِنَّinnaIndeedشَرَّsharra(the) worstالدَّوَابِّl-dawābi(of) the living creaturesعِنْدَʿindanearاللَّهِl-lahiAllahالَّذِينَalladhīna(are) those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveفَهُمْfahumand theyلَا(will) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
  56. 56الَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoعَاهَدْتَʿāhadttayou made a covenantمِنْهُمْmin'humwith themثُمَّthummathenيَنْقُضُونَyanquḍūnathey breakعَهْدَهُمْʿahdahumtheir covenantفِي[in]كُلِّkullieveryمَرَّةٍmarratintimeوَهُمْwahumand theyلَا(do) notيَتَّقُونَyattaqūnafear (Allah)
  57. 57فَإِمَّاfa-immāSo ifتَثْقَفَنَّهُمْtathqafannahumyou gain dominance over themفِيinالْحَرْبِl-ḥarbithe warفَشَرِّدْfasharriddisperseبِهِمْbihimby themمَنْman(those) whoخَلْفَهُمْkhalfahum(are) behind themلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَذَّكَّرُونَyadhakkarūnatake heed
  58. 58وَإِمَّاwa-immāAnd ifتَخَافَنَّtakhāfannayou fearمِنْminfromقَوْمٍqawmina peopleخِيَانَةًkhiyānatanbetrayalفَانْبِذْfa-inbidhthrow backإِلَيْهِمْilayhimto themعَلَىʿalāonسَوَاءٍsawāinequal (terms)إِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَا(does) notيُحِبُّyuḥibbuloveالْخَائِنِينَl-khāinīnathe traitors
  59. 59وَلَاwalāAnd (let) notيَحْسَبَنَّyaḥsabannathinkالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveسَبَقُواsabaqūthey can outstripإِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed theyلَا(can) notيُعْجِزُونَyuʿ'jizūnaescape
  60. 60وَأَعِدُّواwa-aʿiddūAnd prepareلَهُمْlahumfor themمَاwhateverاسْتَطَعْتُمْis'taṭaʿtumyou able (to)مِنْminofقُوَّةٍquwwatinforceوَمِنْwaminand ofرِبَاطِribāṭitetheredالْخَيْلِl-khaylihorsesتُرْهِبُونَtur'hibūna(to) terrifyبِهِbihitherewithعَدُوَّʿaduwwa(the) enemyاللَّهِl-lahi(the) enemyوَعَدُوَّكُمْwaʿaduwwakumand your enemyوَءَاخَرِينَwaākharīnaand othersمِنْminfromدُونِهِمْdūnihimbesides themلَاnotتَعْلَمُونَهُمُtaʿlamūnahumu(do) you know themاللَّهُl-lahu(but) Allahيَعْلَمُهُمْyaʿlamuhumknows themوَمَاwamāAnd whateverتُنْفِقُواtunfiqūyou spendمِنْminfromشَيْءٍshayin(any) thingفِيinسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahيُوَفَّyuwaffait will be fully repaidإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youوَأَنْتُمْwa-antumand youلَا(will) notتُظْلَمُونَtuẓ'lamūnabe wronged
  61. 61وَإِنْwa-inAnd ifجَنَحُواjanaḥūthey inclineلِلسَّلْمِlilssalmito peaceفَاجْنَحْfa-ij'naḥthen you (also) inclineلَهَاlahāto itوَتَوَكَّلْwatawakkaland put (your) trustعَلَىʿalāinاللَّهِl-lahiAllahإِنَّهُinnahuIndeedهُوَhuwaHeالسَّمِيعُl-samīʿu(is) All-Hearerالْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmuAll-Knower
  62. 62وَإِنْwa-inBut ifيُرِيدُواyurīdūthey intendأَنْantoيَخْدَعُوكَyakhdaʿūkadeceive youفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedحَسْبَكَḥasbakais sufficient for youاللَّهُl-lahuAllahهُوَhuwaHeالَّذِيalladhī(is) the One Whoأَيَّدَكَayyadakasupported youبِنَصْرِهِbinaṣrihiwith His helpوَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَwabil-mu'minīnaand with the believers
  63. 63وَأَلَّفَwa-allafaAnd He (has) put affectionبَيْنَbaynabetweenقُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsلَوْlawIfأَنْفَقْتَanfaqtayou (had) spentمَاwhateverفِي(is) inالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthجَمِيعًاjamīʿanallمَاnotأَلَّفْتَallafta(could) you (have) put affectionبَيْنَbaynabetweenقُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsوَلَكِنَّwalākinnabutاللَّهَl-lahaAllahأَلَّفَallafa(has) put affectionبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themإِنَّهُinnahuIndeed, Heعَزِيزٌʿazīzun(is) All-MightyحَكِيمٌḥakīmunAll-Wise
  64. 64يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOالنَّبِيُّl-nabiyuProphetحَسْبُكَḥasbukaSufficient for youاللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahوَمَنِwamaniand whoeverاتَّبَعَكَittabaʿakafollows youمِنَminaofالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believers
  65. 65يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOالنَّبِيُّl-nabiyuProphetحَرِّضِḥarriḍiUrgeالْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believersعَلَىʿalātoالْقِتَالِl-qitāli[the] fightإِنْinIfيَكُنْyakun(there) areمِنْكُمْminkumamong youعِشْرُونَʿish'rūnatwentyصَابِرُونَṣābirūnasteadfastيَغْلِبُواyaghlibūthey will overcomeمِائَتَيْنِmi-ataynitwo hundredوَإِنْwa-inAnd ifيَكُنْyakun(there) areمِنْكُمْminkumamong youمِائَةٌmi-atuna hundredيَغْلِبُواyaghlibūthey will overcomeأَلْفًاalfana thousandمِنَminaofالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahumbecause theyقَوْمٌqawmun(are) a peopleلَا(who do) notيَفْقَهُونَyafqahūnaunderstand
  66. 66الْءَانَal-ānaNowخَفَّفَkhaffafahas (been) lightenedاللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahعَنْكُمْʿankumfor youوَعَلِمَwaʿalimaand He knowsأَنَّannathatفِيكُمْfīkumin youضَعْفًاḍaʿfan(there) is weaknessفَإِنْfa-inSo ifيَكُنْyakun(there) areمِنْكُمْminkumamong youمِائَةٌmi-atuna hundredصَابِرَةٌṣābiratunsteadfastيَغْلِبُواyaghlibūthey will overcomeمِائَتَيْنِmi-ataynitwo hundredوَإِنْwa-inAnd ifيَكُنْyakun(there) areمِنْكُمْminkumamong youأَلْفٌalfuna thousandيَغْلِبُواyaghlibūthey will overcomeأَلْفَيْنِalfaynitwo thousandبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niwith (the) permissionاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahمَعَmaʿa(is) withالصَّابِرِينَl-ṣābirīnathe steadfast
  67. 67مَاNotكَانَkānaisلِنَبِيٍّlinabiyyinfor a Prophetأَنْanthatيَكُونَyakūna(there) should beلَهُlahufor himأَسْرَىasrāprisoners of warحَتَّىḥattāuntilيُثْخِنَyuth'khinahe has battled strenuouslyفِيinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landتُرِيدُونَturīdūnaYou desireعَرَضَʿaraḍa(the) commoditiesالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَاللَّهُwal-lahubut Allahيُرِيدُyurīdudesiresالْءَاخِرَةَl-ākhirata(for you) the Hereafterوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun(is) All-MightyحَكِيمٌḥakīmunAll-Wise
  68. 68لَوْلَاlawlāHad notكِتَابٌkitābunan ordainmentمِنَminafromاللَّهِl-lahiAllahسَبَقَsabaqaprecededلَمَسَّكُمْlamassakumsurely (would) have touched youفِيمَاfīmāfor whatأَخَذْتُمْakhadhtumyou tookعَذَابٌʿadhābuna punishmentعَظِيمٌʿaẓīmungreat
  69. 69فَكُلُواfakulūSo eatمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatغَنِمْتُمْghanim'tumyou got as war bootyحَلَالًاḥalālanlawfulطَيِّبًاṭayyiban(and) goodوَاتَّقُواwa-ittaqūand fearاللَّهَl-lahaAllahإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahغَفُورٌghafūrun(is) Oft-ForgivingرَحِيمٌraḥīmunMost Merciful
  70. 70يَاأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOالنَّبِيُّl-nabiyuProphetقُلْqulSayلِمَنْlimanto whoeverفِي(is) inأَيْدِيكُمْaydīkumyour handsمِنَminaofالْأَسْرَىl-asrāthe captivesإِنْinIfيَعْلَمِyaʿlamiknowsاللَّهُl-lahuAllahفِيinقُلُوبِكُمْqulūbikumyour heartsخَيْرًاkhayranany goodيُؤْتِكُمْyu'tikumHe will give youخَيْرًاkhayranbetterمِمَّاmimmāthan whatأُخِذَukhidhawas takenمِنْكُمْminkumfrom youوَيَغْفِرْwayaghfirand He will forgiveلَكُمْlakumyouوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahغَفُورٌghafūrun(is) Oft-ForgivingرَحِيمٌraḥīmunMost Merciful
  71. 71وَإِنْwa-inBut ifيُرِيدُواyurīdūthey intendخِيَانَتَكَkhiyānataka(to) betray youفَقَدْfaqadcertainlyخَانُواkhānūthey have betrayedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahمِنْminfromقَبْلُqablubeforeفَأَمْكَنَfa-amkanaSo He gave (you) powerمِنْهُمْmin'humover themوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌḥakīmunAll-Wise
  72. 72إِنَّinnaIndeedالَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedوَهَاجَرُواwahājarūand emigratedوَجَاهَدُواwajāhadūand strove hardبِأَمْوَالِهِمْbi-amwālihimwith their wealthوَأَنْفُسِهِمْwa-anfusihimand their livesفِيinسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoءَاوَوْاāwawgave shelterوَنَصَرُواwanaṣarūand helpedأُولَئِكَulāikathoseبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themأَوْلِيَاءُawliyāu(are) alliesبَعْضٍbaʿḍin(of) anotherوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaBut those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedوَلَمْwalamand (did) notيُهَاجِرُواyuhājirūemigrateمَا(it is) notلَكُمْlakumfor youمِنْmin(of)وَلَايَتِهِمْwalāyatihimtheir protectionمِنْmin(in)شَيْءٍshayin(in) anythingحَتَّىḥattāuntilيُهَاجِرُواyuhājirūthey emigrateوَإِنِwa-iniAnd ifاسْتَنْصَرُوكُمْis'tanṣarūkumthey seek your helpفِيinالدِّينِl-dīnithe religionفَعَلَيْكُمُfaʿalaykumuthen upon youالنَّصْرُl-naṣru(is to) help themإِلَّاillāexceptعَلَىʿalāagainstقَوْمٍqawmina peopleبَيْنَكُمْbaynakumbetween youوَبَيْنَهُمْwabaynahumand between themمِيثَاقٌmīthāqun(is) a treatyوَاللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَاbimāof whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou doبَصِيرٌbaṣīrun(is) All-Seer
  73. 73وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoكَفَرُواkafarūdisbelieveبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themأَوْلِيَاءُawliyāu(are) alliesبَعْضٍbaʿḍin(to) anotherإِلَّاillāIf notتَفْعَلُوهُtafʿalūhuyou do itتَكُنْtakun(there) will beفِتْنَةٌfit'natunoppressionفِيinالْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthوَفَسَادٌwafasādunand corruptionكَبِيرٌkabīrungreat
  74. 74وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedوَهَاجَرُواwahājarūand emigratedوَجَاهَدُواwajāhadūand strove hardفِيinسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayاللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoءَاوَوْاāwawgave shelterوَنَصَرُواwanaṣarūand helpedأُولَئِكَulāikathoseهُمُhumuthey (are)الْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believersحَقًّاḥaqqan(in) truthلَهُمْlahumFor themمَغْفِرَةٌmaghfiratun(is) forgivenessوَرِزْقٌwariz'qunand a provisionكَرِيمٌkarīmunnoble
  75. 75وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoءَامَنُواāmanūbelievedمِنْminfromبَعْدُbaʿduafterwardsوَهَاجَرُواwahājarūand emigratedوَجَاهَدُواwajāhadūand strove hardمَعَكُمْmaʿakumwith youفَأُولَئِكَfa-ulāikathen thoseمِنْكُمْminkum(are) of youوَأُولُواwa-ulūBut thoseالْأَرْحَامِl-arḥāmi(of) blood relationshipبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of themأَوْلَىawlā(are) nearerبِبَعْضٍbibaʿḍinto anotherفِيinكِتَابِkitābi(the) Bookاللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahإِنَّinnaIndeedاللَّهَl-lahaAllahبِكُلِّbikulliof everyشَيْءٍshayinthingعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
